Is there some news about how on-line play on the Xbox is organized? They did not get the lobby-structure like PSN has, but I guess now it is needed with the 2 vs 2 mode...

Any minute now BwA Spectre will appear and tell us that LSD is actually the best drug....

Re: PES 2009 News Discussion Etc. (STRICTLY NO FIFA DEMO IMPRESSIONS OR POLITICAL CHA

There is a PES 2009 video with online mode.

PC users need a serial key and a konami ID to play, however as you recently know, using the program hamachi it is possible to play pes online without logging into their servers.

As you can see in this video, there are Portuguese servers now.

I got a 48 hour code so I can have a look at it in a bit :)

Any idea where 2v2 might be organized?

Re: PES 2009 News Discussion Etc. (STRICTLY NO FIFA DEMO IMPRESSIONS OR POLITICAL CHA

I have no idea! My question is because I have no idea how Xbox is setted up this year.
It would be nice if you can play and tell us how the connection is :)

Re: PES 2009 News Discussion Etc. (STRICTLY NO FIFA DEMO IMPRESSIONS OR POLITICAL CHA

maybe the game will be able on the internet before came out in the stores?

I think 2vs2 option will be into the game room like PES 6. The room has 4 players and then you play 2 vs 2. If you want to play with a friend in the same PS3 you press start when you are choosing the team. I think is that... I love 2 vs 2, I will only buy PES 2009 to play 2 vs 2 online, because 1 vs 1 I prefer playing fifa 09, but 2 vs 2 in PES is fun.

Re: PES 2009 News Discussion Etc. (STRICTLY NO FIFA DEMO IMPRESSIONS OR POLITICAL CHA

Yeah and with hamachi we can test the online mode until 16 october when the game is released :D

Re: PES 2009 News Discussion Etc. (STRICTLY NO FIFA DEMO IMPRESSIONS OR POLITICAL CHA

It's a lobby system, same menu system as the PC version(haven't seen a PS3 one, but assume it's the same as that as well)
Only 2 others online and they'd just started a match so no one to play to test the connection

Re: PES 2009 News Discussion Etc. (STRICTLY NO FIFA DEMO IMPRESSIONS OR POLITICAL CHA

That's good news! :)
Let us know if you managed to play online. The PS3 version sometimes got some lag and I am curious to know if LIVE is good this year.

Re: PES 2009 News Discussion Etc. (STRICTLY NO FIFA DEMO IMPRESSIONS OR POLITICAL CHA

You can be sure of that... all years is the same.

cool i have to try the pc version, i dont know how i buy it, pc or ps3 version, for ps3 i dont pay the game because a will exange metal gear solid 4 and gta4 for pes2009. and i dont pay for the game. in pc version il pay, i dont have hd tv so ps3 its not very good graphics like in my pc.

You mean the 17th.
And I dont believe the programs for hamachi would be immediately created. It took a few months to get it working last year  (Unless of course there is a LAN mode, however I am yet to see this in the game :|)

You don't have to pay for it. It's free. Try in the Sports Games area.

Re: PES 2009 News Discussion Etc. (STRICTLY NO FIFA DEMO IMPRESSIONS OR POLITICAL CHA

The more I play the demo the more I like

I had a spare hour and was gonna play fifa09 after a quick blast of this but ended up playing the demo over and over.

it deffo harks back to PES on the PS2, no question there, but it is a refined version.

some of the animations are shite. FACT. and in this depatment it is blown out of the water by FIFA09 (which I rate very highly this year)

If there was a sliding scale of simulation I would say FIFA09 is too conservative esp when dribbling and pr evo is abit too liberal.

but there is something about pr evo (except last years) that allows you to be inventive in your play that is not possible in FIFA.

I think anything is possible in PES. you can keep your finger on the sprint button and make it into an arcade game(esp last year -not so much this) or you can pass it about with a slow build up. the major reason why I still prefer PES over FIFA is how it allows you to pass in tight situations..

the passing in FIFA is fantastic but when your around the box it seems a bit slow to respond when you want to do a quick passing move to carve open a tight defence. in PES as soon as you see an opertunity you can take advantage of it, its almost like when your playing FIFA you are controlling the player and telling him what to do but with PES you ARE the player with the ball. so the quality of the move is as good as your own football brain.

also PES lets you beat a man when dribbling using body movement. I feel this is a major weak point for FIFA. if your KAKA you should be able to beat a man with sharp turns and faints without having to use the trick stick.
PES has a 'Jink' button in R2 - which has actualy been tonned down a bit this year. get a player like kaka on the ball you feel like you can take someone on, give it to Phil neville and his reactions are too slow so you pass the ball on.
This brings me on to individuality. FIFA still hasnt mastered this yet. as well as the dribbling thing I still feel no more confident on the ball with Xavi than I do with Bramble.

so because of all this PES is still my wepon of choice. I am playing FIFA09 at the moment and enjoying it. the anmimations, pace of the game and shooting (i use semi) is fantastic, But I can see ProEvo taking me through until next october.

cheers

"This year, we concentrated our development efforts for this game on the next-gen PS3 and Xbox 360 machine.."

Say what? How can he say such thing when there's nothing that says next-gen about this game lol.
