and we thought it wouldn't be possible to top previous editions, KONAMI have really set the standard for gay celebrations. :D

look at this orgyfest, roflmao!! notice where SWP hands are....

Well jokes aside, I'm definitely ordering this one for the PC.
Just 12 teams out of 32....that is a letdown.

13 licensed teams in the CL mode. Thats a bit.... poo. The whole mode is supposed to replicate the feel and atmosphere of the real champions league, and having stupid kits and names sort of negates that fact. We'll have to wait and see

It´s even worth, the text says that many Teams that are in the CL This year are not even in the game. So you will need to fill the gap with Teams that were eliminated in the first round or else ....

- 4 year deal with UEFA
- 12 of 32 teams are licensed
- some more (but not all!!!) are unlicensed. No German teams at all.
-> you can't play the real 08/09 season
- random groups, no seeding is done
-> groups of death with Inter and Barca in one group possible
- you only get official logos, music, opening ceremony

No seeding. Thats pathetic!!

Re: PES 2009 News Discussion Etc. (STRICTLY NO FIFA DEMO IMPRESSIONS OR POLITICAL CHA

Guys i dont care about full cl license. I just want to play cl mode with any teams i choose. After editing everything will be fine. What is the problem?

Why have the Licence then, why not edit everything?

If that's the case why don't they just let us create a full four league structure?

No that's from ML, when you don't pay for your ground maintenance the floodlights can fail during a match, I heard from reliable source, can't talk NDA, exclusive, insider, sneak peak, secrets!!!!!!1111

Re: PES 2009 News Discussion Etc. (STRICTLY NO FIFA DEMO IMPRESSIONS OR POLITICAL CHA

Simply you will have the tournament that always asked for (4 teams with home and away matches). Plus you'll have cl music, adds, and logos. Simple as that. I dont have a problem with that. If you could edit, as you say, why we didnt have this type of tournament in the older versions?

Re: PES 2009 News Discussion Etc. (STRICTLY NO FIFA DEMO IMPRESSIONS OR POLITICAL CHA

If the Edit Mode is as expansive as they would have us believe then the kits and official license problem will not be of any relevance - IF you don't play online! If you do (I do, every day!) then you are entitled to be pissed off with this. You can edit all day long to get your game looking spick and span and then as soon as you go online you're presented with London FC and wank kits and badges. Christ...........

Re: PES 2009 News Discussion Etc. (STRICTLY NO FIFA DEMO IMPRESSIONS OR POLITICAL CHA

Damnn Arsenal stats are indeed again very poor
Adebayor and v Persie should have upgraded stats.

Re: PES 2009 News Discussion Etc. (STRICTLY NO FIFA DEMO IMPRESSIONS OR POLITICAL CHA

I would also like to bet in advance that Celtic players will be right up there or have higher ratings versus Arsenal, and Nakamura's stats will be overrated in places where he shouldn't be. Not knocking on Celtic for being a bad team or anything, they are good, but I'm sure extra care has been taken in making their team cuz of the "Asian" factor (and frankly, they're not as good as Arsenal).

The team either has to be very well known top tier team and/or have players that are familiar to the Asian market to have great ratings from Konami. Arsenal, unfortunately as of now, aren't it to Konami. Fact is that most of the well-known top tier stars have left, and most of the "new" players (sans maybe Fabregas) are most likely relatively unknown to them. Only if you guys still had Inamoto, eh? ;)

Your Celtic comments are ridiculous mate. Celtic are usually very poor indeed in the game. For a team who usually get to the last 16 in the CL, they are very much under-rated imo and I'm no Celtic fan.

I do agree that Arsenal are never as good as they should be though- Inter have always been far too good in the game- Adriano and Ibrahimovic were far too good in PES2008- push you off the ball regardless of how well you defend!

Re: PES 2009 News Discussion Etc. (STRICTLY NO FIFA DEMO IMPRESSIONS OR POLITICAL CHA

There looks to be different running animations on this pic. Xavi appears to be running to the ball differently than Slinslizel. Ugh! if only they would take those stupid sandbags and make the goal deeper and square this screenshot would looke ace. When will they ever get it right.

Re: PES 2009 News Discussion Etc. (STRICTLY NO FIFA DEMO IMPRESSIONS OR POLITICAL CHA

It's called a lack of attention to detail and a little effort on their part...

Actually, it's called keeping it in for now so that they have something new to add in their later versions. It's possible that they are running out of ideas and so keep taking things out to add them later. Wouldn't be surprised. I seriously(although I hope not)think we won't see a proper fully licenses PES game with all these things like different nets/goals, stadium builder, new ML, all corresponding team stadiums and overhaul gameplay for years. Hopefully I'll still be around if and when this game reaches it's full potential.

TBH i think its going the other way when we will see no licenced teams apart from international ones as EA fire up the battle cry with hard cash...............simple.
