Ok fine, but how do you explain Clichy having such poor defense when matched with Evra from Man Utd. and Sagna as well? They were voted best full-backs in the country. Fabregas with just one passing stat in the 90s? His balance stat is 70??? I know he's not Drogba but is he that lightweight in our midfield? A 70 means players just brush against him and he'll lose balance, fall or lose possession. He doesn't lose possession easily in real life now does he?

I'm really just bitter all the same, I won't be able to compete against the Barca,Chelsea and Man Utd whores online with the shit stats that Arsenal have again this year. Oh how I miss Henry, Vieira and Pires etc. :(

KONAMI only care about the teams they like !! see AC milan for 2 seasons they did nothing they went to to Champion cup and i can promise you they will be super players in PES2009 also Inter and barca ,, way overrated !!

and about adebayor !! he is not SUPER PLAYER !! but he is Good talent and very annoying CF with agood striker skills he miss but he assist good and score in the important matches

Now if u had said Eduardo, I'd fully agree. He is underrated. that man needed half a chance to bag a brace, his positioning and passing was exceptional and his finishing, damn.

Way way underrated in my books.

I'm a Park fan (if you can tell by my Av) obviously, and I do think that he's overrated against some of the Arsenal players (Only areas Park's attributes should shine should be in Defense, stamina, and maybe agility and passing... his dribbling, attack, and balance stats in that screenshot is WAY overrated), but don't forget, this is Konami. They're thinking of the marketing in the Asian sector, and you only have to see the stats of the Korean National Team to see that. All are decent and overrated in some way, and I'm sure all of you bought Park Chu Young in the Masters League at one time or another (even though he's in Monaco now and doing decent, they still overrate him). They ALL have accurate faces to boot. Also, don't forget that Park was brought up early in his career in the J-League, so he is well known by the Japanese people so they will naturally rate him higher than people they may not know well in Arsenal for example.

It's just like I'm sure if western developers was in charge of making the Asian teams, they would actually underrate them badly, as in FIFA. Same concept. Not an excuse of course, but it is just the way it works.

I would also like to bet in advance that Celtic players will be right up there or have higher ratings versus Arsenal, and Nakamura's stats will be overrated in places where he shouldn't be. Not knocking on Celtic for being a bad team or anything, they are good, but I'm sure extra care has been taken in making their team cuz of the "Asian" factor (and frankly, they're not as good as Arsenal).

The team either has to be very well known top tier team and/or have players that are familiar to the Asian market to have great ratings from Konami. Arsenal, unfortunately as of now, aren't it to Konami. Fact is that most of the well-known top tier stars have left, and most of the "new" players (sans maybe Fabregas) are most likely relatively unknown to them. Only if you guys still had Inamoto, eh? ;)

I disagree. I think Nakamura isn't overrated by Konami and his freekick ability is world class. Overall I think you will find that Arsenal players across the board on average will have better stats than Celtics.

On the otherhand man utd. are hugely overrated in my opinion. Seriously Ronaldo attack rating 97?? Rooney and Tevez are both overrated aswell from the new screenshots I have seen.

It's obviously a fabrication. No-one has even been near the servers that will be used for PES2009 as they are not active yet. And I have real trouble believing that a guy in a little game shop in Portugal has been playing PES2009 online - even playing PES2009 at all seems very far-fetched.

Not true. Gunktv ( gamemagazine in Belgium ) tested the game and confirmed that the servers won't be active until 1 day before the release. There were no test servers installed for the Beta.

Some look like a decent likeness, some look absolutely fucking awful. I still stand by my statement that the technology they use and the results they achieve in terms of high quality visuals for next generation consoles are severely lacking.

And why does every player share the same ugly ass quality pair of ears? They look awful. Yes it's not as important as gameplay™ but for a game that's prided itself on the "bestest ever faces and nobody can ever disagree" you'd think they'd at least put some effort into the ears seeing as all 300 players in the game will be using them.....

Fair point about the ears but I have to disagree with the faces in general not being next gen quality.
The generic faces they put zero effort into are shite. But the ones they actually do are easily next gen quality, though they aren't always accurate - Torres being a prime example, whilst Ronaldo is perfect in my opinion.

Rooney has always been overrated. It hasn't surprised me they haven't altered his stats for about 3 games now.

I don't get why they've re-done some of these faces when they were already excellent. Nasri for example seems to been re-done but now he looks worse. Strange really.

Can't wait till they get rid of Short Pass speed; then we will know they've got a good and proper manual pass system in place

I have seen almost all new pes 2009 videos now, and i cant see any new thing in gameplay except slower spedd. I remember years ago when you saw the new pes videos and you thougt, OMG thats a new thing i never seen in a pes game before! But i havent seen anything like this in pes 2009 years veriosn. No new fients or dribblings, no new shooting or passing animations. Where is all the new things of the game??

And a question to TG: Where are the good news about seria A, La liga? And where is the bad news of the grass?

Das Ganze führt natürlich dazu, dass ein originalgetreues Nachspielen der aktuellen Champions League überhaupt nicht möglich ist. Es fehlen viele Mannschaften, also sind die Gruppeneinteilungen fiktiv. Es kann sogar passieren, dass zwei Topteams wie Inter und Barcelona in einer Vorrundengruppe landen - in der Realität wird das durch den Modus mit gesetzten Mannschaften verhindert.

Was haben dann Käufer von PES 2009 überhaupt von der Champions-League-Lizenz? Nun, es ist die bekannte Erkennungsmusik der Champions League enthalten, es gibt eine authentische Eröffnungsszene mit dem bekannten Logo und so weiter. Die Verpackung stimmt also, der Inhalt nicht.
