Oh ah.

But I can see the difficulties in throwing numerous blank teams without botching up tournaments to the extent where you have a few real teams with the rest being some variation of "Template A" and crap like that.

But yeah, now consoles have moved onto hard disks we should have access to the space we actually have available instead of the same 20 slots.

as konami now has the champions league licence, what does that exactly mean?
will all the 32 club teams be officially licended? with all their stadiums, kits, player names etc.? will the 8 groups be filled with the correct teams or can we make free groups with the 32 club teams? or will there be just the mode available, with all the club teams (licensed or not) to select from?

Haha! How quaint :lol:

It is indeed a pretty similar image, with different players, kits, stadium and lighting...

It must be a pre-set scene they have stored, to take pictures and such.

If you notice, it is not the exact same image, the camera is slightly in a different place - or is a different frame. You can see it in the player on the background, between the guy who's shooting and the defender.

Nonetheless, I prefer the top picture to the bottom one, in what concerns lighting and detail. Also, the players in the background seem to have a better depth-of-field effect than the ones in the daylight scene.

he is at Bunyodkor, former Kuruvchi Tashkent, in Uzbekistan now (scored a goal in today's 2nd leg of quarter final of Asian Champions League, but doesnt matter anyway because nobody's interested :D)

Sorry for posting again then, sometimes these reviews get lost in a sea of other threads (i did a search but couldnt find anything)

And yes my name could get me into trouble ;-) but lets not get off topic now! lol

nope. arsenal for example will only be licenced when playing champions league mode but in master league, exibition mode etc there now:LOL:

shows graphics update . pes08 is the bottom one and pes09 is the one at the top

Somebody asked which Italian team wasn't licensed a couple of PES' ago...i think it was Cagliari.

And i have to say i agree with those who complain about the PR around the licensing. They 've lost licenses, they shouldn't bullshit about it.

Konami are clearly targeting the casual gamers and by doing that they are loosing their hardcore fan base.

The dramatic thing for them is that casual gamers attach enormous importance to things like licenses...the people who make the strategic decisions concerning PES should be fired i think.

Reminds me of a earlier ISS or one of the earlier PES's Where Sol Campbell and Rio Ferdinand had the exact same stats, height, weight,...everything

interesting to mention - on a side note. hey chelsea signed a midfielder today, despite the fact the transfer window closed 23 days ago! As usual, 1 rule for Chelsea, another rule for everybody else!!!!

can i be the first to point out, THEY DONT NEED ANY MORE midfielders! Chelsea represent everything that's wrong with football nowadays!

You are wrong, Arsenal is not licensed in any mode, as well as Chelsea.

As someone already stated it's a free transfer so make sure u know the rules before u mindlessly bash.

Plus to the guy saying we don't need more midfielders, he is simply cover for essien who is out for 6 months with torn ACL. looks like very good business and a wise move from scolari. x:OT:
