PES 2008 (PC-DVD) - Official Topic

Did you guys even play FIFA 07? I thought it was quite good. Not as good as PES6 but much better than previous titles. If they can even make it better than the PES franchise will get a decent rival and Konami will hopefully make the game even better.

I for one can't wait for the FIFA 08 demo. And I never waited for any FIFA demo before.

Btw, good to hear about LAN support in PES 2008. I hope it's true.

Well 07 current-gen was crap. I don't have a 360 but I've played it at my mate's a few times, and it's good but something about it just doesn't feel right. Also the shooting was really bad.
 
I don't know what you people want, gameplay is massively revolutionized IMO. PES is not about big changes, it's the details that give the game a big change, at least this is what we have seen over these years of playing the franchise. remember PES 5 and PES 6 and how those little things made you not want to go back to 5, am I right?
 
I think the problem is all the hype was how PES 2008 was a brand new built from scratch engine, and it looks remarkably similar to PES6.
 
i fully support konami...for me it's totaly a different game...i saw the 2nd trailer and i love it, for me the little details make the game, like the menu, the dive feature, new wall-system, and there are a lot of changes that i enjoy ;)

the engine won't be a revolution, its just an evolution as always.
What i want ?
- beter realistic gameplay (PES as turns arcade since PES4)
- better LM and overall dificulty
- better Menus, edits, statistics, options.
AND most of all
better online and news online features !!!
The future of the game is online gaming 5 vs 5 a side for ex. (futsal or indoor football :p )
 
the graphics from the faces looks amazing good, and YES finaly :D the backheel dribble :D from ronaldo, i was hoping alot they would make it in the game
 
This "it's an evolution not a revolution as always" is bullshit really.
It's next gen, a big change is needed, the next gen consoles and PCs can do a lot more than this shitty engine.

Why konami can't copy movement like fifa..all body movement FIFA is really smooth and realistic..but fifa gameplay is really suck, that's why I still love PES.

Fifa focus on stupid moves everybody can do, not in real football like pes. 80% of pes moves are done by instinct like in real football not like the moves my 5 year old brother can do in fifa!!

As it looks in PES2008 still players run not that realistic ... it looks like Robots not Human ... their Run should be randomly not like these robots ...
 
Just see the name of Pes2008 .

i like we8,we9lek,wepes2007 .why ?

put PES 1-6 on left side ,then put Winning Eleven 1-2007 on right side.

try counter attack with + and o button with differece power -weak and strong .With Winning Eleven has usefull and successfully (+ and o)(+ and x) but PES + and o button very useless for counter attack .

Both of them has difference gameplays .Konami knows very well what they sell of 2 difference gameplays .

PS.i play all and i like it all by Konami.
 
WOW nets are wonderful in the new PES (I hope they move wonderfully),

will there be a demo for PC of PES??

Getting a PS3 or 360 is stupid to play PES on. You can enjoy playing as Man Red and Merseyside Red whilst we use kitserver and play in our lovely modded game.

Awesome, the recommended system requirements look just like my pc specs :D Anyway the requirements have trippled compared to pes 6 so there will be some big graphical changes I think..

For New Pes2008*

i run my own league with 2 other lads, we use microphones to speak whilst playing and currently have free sides, if your keen in playing in a fun league then join here:
