Would a North XL fit a Secret Labs PC mount though? :D

Not entirely sure.
I have a Secret Labs desk and sit mine on top of the desk.

Apparently you can - Just checked dimensions.
However the Secret Labs website says ATX only and the North XL is EATX.

God have the secret labs desks and chairs gone up a lot in price since I ordered.

I plan to buy one in the future. Not now but when I moved to a new flat. Therefore I want to build a PC which would be able to be mounted. I simply hate putting a Desktop PC on the desk, I can't do that, I need that space :D

I will never know why people always opt for the Intel / Nvidia combo. Im just looking at your specs and thinking, "why the hell is it so expensive?!". Then I realise that the CPU/GPU combo is prob 2k+ on its own lol

Edit: as an FYI, i build my own PCs, so i have no right to give out advice on pre builds. ignore me! <3

Would this be a good build, any suggestions @bsmaff ? It's German but I think you can get the parts.

CPU: You must be one of the last guys who wants tu buy an intel cpu 😅
AMD is the king, espacially the X3D cpus. The 14th generation of intel is pretty bad and power hungry. Wouldnt recommend it at all.
Get a 9800 X3D. It has a much lower Power consumption and is the best gaming cpu on the market. The only downside: Its hard to get for a normal price. Its sold out almost everywhere after it launched.

Mainboard for the 9800X3D:
The ASUS ROG Strix B650E-F Gaming WIFIis still the best bang for the buck. A good alternative is the ASUS ROG Strix B650E-E Gaming WIFI. If you want the newest chipset you can try the GIGABYTE X870E AORUS Elite WIFI7.

Ram for AMD Mainboard:
Corsair Vengeance RGB grau DIMM Kit 32GB, DDR5-6000, CL30-36-36-76 (CMH32GX5M2B6000Z30K). Solid Ram for a good Price. This kit is for AMD Mainboards and supports AMD Expo.

SSD:
The Solidigm P44 Pro is a completely overpriced product and a money waster. Go for the Western Digital WD_BLACK SN850X. This is a awesome SSD and the price is very good. I got 2 of them myself.

PSU:
The Corsair RMx Series is known to be noisy. I personally have very bad experience with Corsair PSUs. Almost all i saw had bad coil whine. I would go for the MSI MPG A850G PCIE5 850W. Its "only" ATX 3.0, but its cheaper and it has higher quality parts.

CPU cooler:
Thats easy, because there is only one answer: Arctic Liquid Freezer III 360. The best AIO cooler on the whole market and one of the cheapest too. I got it myself and its stunning. After some tuning with the curves of the fan and the pump this cooler is pretty much noiseless.

Dont forget to buy a case fan for the rear. Get the Arctic P14 PWM (140 mm) or the Arctic P12 PWM (120 mm). The 120 mm is the same fan as the 3 fans on the Arctic Liquid Freezer III 360.

Hope this helps a bit.

Edit:
Fun Fact:
If you would build your PC on your own you would pay about 2690€. You would save about 494€.

If you would build the PC on your own with my recommendations, you would pay about 2680€ (GIGABYTE X870E AORUS Elite WIFI7 Mainboard and 9800 X3D for 530€), but you would have a much better performance and much better cooling/quality.

Thanks for your suggestions.

Well, I'm a complete noob when it comes to PC building. I just had a look on PC Specialist Website and what looked the best to me.
Pretty much all the stuff you mention is not available if you build a PC via PC Specialist.

Before you ask, no I won't build a PC by myself, I can't and won't do that.

These sites who offer pre builds will recommend you a Intel cpu of the 14th or 15th generation. They are selling not at all and these sites are looking for some "noobs" to get rid of their stock. The only thing which is worse than the 14th generation is the 15th one which was released not long ago. The 15th generation was dead on arrival.

Honestly don't know what to do then. Thought the specs I picked are the best I can get but now pretty much everything I picked is apparently not worth it.

I can't build a PC on my own, I have never done something like that and I will probably never.

Listen to Bogo, that's a splendid build recommendation. Upgraded my rig only last week, 9800X3D, AsRock B650 Steel Legend, 32GB Kingston Fury and paired it with my exisiting RTX 4090, some drives and a Noctua NH-D15 cooler from my previous rig. Also went for the NZXT H9 Flow case which made setting stuff up a breeze with plenty of space. Probably the best case I ever owned, and I've been a Fractal fanboy all my life. Anyway, whatever it is you're deciding to buy and let others build for you, go for AMD's new baby. Intel blew this gen.

NZXT H9 Flow case
I was really interested in that case until I saw some random YouTuber claiming that the airflow coming from angled front fans is just going to hit the opposite wall and not be pulled towards the motherboard/GPU - absolutely no idea if there's any truth to it, but I really wish I hadn't bought the case I did (Fractal Design Pop Air)... It's absolutely ginormous. Around 40% longer than my previous case, and I've had to dismantle my TV unit (and rip out shelves) in order to fit it somewhere. Literally anywhere. Why the fuck I didn't look at the measurements before I bought it I don't know...

Is the Corsair 850 W RMx really noisy? Anyone has it and can really tell something? I'm reading mixed Reviews over the net. Some say it is very good and silent, why other say something different. Some say RMe is bad but RMx is fine?

Man, I already hate searching for a new PC pre-build.

If it helps, that's what I have and I can't hear it at all over the case fans (which are really quiet as well, partially thanks to the liquid cooling / radiator doing the hard work). Actually, if I turn the case fans off, I still can't hear it (and I'm fairly sensitive to annoying noises).

Here you go:
https://www.mindfactory.de/shopping...2217ef1b75015ddefb7dd0f3f45efab1ad0e39285fd84

I picked your components and the pre build service, so they will build it for you. Mindfactory is the best hardware shop in germany. They dont have the "MSI MPG A850G PCIE5 850W ATX 3.0", but i picked the "be quiet! Pure Power 12 M 850W ATX 3.1" which is also a good PSU.
In the comments before you buy you should write:
"Den einzelnen P12 Lüfter bitte hinten am Gehäuse montieren. Den Arctic Liquid Freezer III bitte mit dem beigelegten Splitter anschließen."

If i forgot something, please let me know.

There are only 2 things to know: You have to wait until all components are in stock. You also have to buy a Windows key. You could get one on mindfactory, but the price is absurd. Just get one from ebay for 10€. I hope installing windows is not a problem for you 😅

PSUs are a religious thing to some :D Personally, I've never had any issues with beQuiet! and Seasonic, for example. Currently sporting a beQuiet! Pure Power 12M 850W since last year and it's great.

The air gets sucked in by the CPU fan anyway and my temps are great, so I'm pretty sure some elevated thoughts went into it when someone at NZXT came up with the initial idea :D

They are building a complete PC but don't offer to sell/install Windows? :D

Edit: sorry, missread, they do but it's pricey

Thanks for your help btw. Will look more into it on the weekend.

Coincidentally I opened my PC today to examine its fans because I feel its been making a lot of noise

I have a Corsair RM850x, I do not know if this is whats making the big noise, but now I'm thinking it might be. Ive always used the 2 stock fans my case came with (corsair case as well) but today I ordered an artic one to get in the front panel (will end up with 2 in the front/1 in the back for exhaust).

I hope this improves the loud sound (MSFS2024 sounds like , well, a jet).

I do not know if I need more fans. today I used a program to check CPU temp and after closing down MSFS it was at 79C . ( I have a AMD 7600 with a 6750xt). How can I know my temps are OK? or if I need more fans or ventilation?

Under heavy load, 79 is nothing to worry about, imo. My 5800x3d ran high 80s in the summer. It’s in the 70s now.
Sure, with proper cooling and good air flow you can can better values. When I open my side panel of the case, CPU temps drop around 10-12. I know I don’t have the best airflow…. Will fix that next year.

Basically I would of written the same as Bogo, except I can't recommend Gigabyte boards everyone I have ever used has had issues and their BIOS is shit - MSI have the best BIOS these days.
Also there is too many conflicting reports on the Artic Freezer III, some say it is a top cooler and some say it barely outperforms an air cooler.
But at the price of it - You surely can't go wrong.

PSU get something which is Top Tier for component quality - But normally anything Gold or above is fine.
https://cultists.network/140/psu-tier-list/
Personally I find that cheaper PSU's are fine for 6 months to a year then they start making noise.
Depending on how much upgrading you plan to do in the future but 850W is probably going to be needed somewhere down the line - For future GPU upgrade.

But main thing to take away is AMD all the way - Not sure about Germany but there is a mass backlog in UK for the 9800X3D.

Personally would stick with AIO cooling especially at the amount he is willing to spend on his machine.
Plus if building himself AIO are easier to install.

Building a PC is like Lego everything can only go in one place.
The difficult part is BIOS configuration and installing Windows but there is plenty of YouTube guides to help do this.

If you build yourself it gives more money to spend on other components.
You can get an X870 board instead of a budget board - More fancy AIO cooler.
More capacity SSD's.

But some companies charge a fortune to build PC's - I normally charge £50 - £100 on top of components with my builds, depending on how difficult the build is likely to be.

So you would suggest replacing the Gigabyte Motherboard @Bogo suggested with that one? Will it fit all other components?

Btw. in Germany it says "End of December" for the Ryzen CPU.

The MSI Tomahawk boards are always considered the best boards (bang for buck).

It is normally personal preference but for me personally I would never touch a Gigabyte board as they are full of problems.

End of December is pretty good some stores in UK are stating 2025 now for the 9800X3D.

I went with a B450 Tomahawk II and I am a very satisfied user. 😊

So looks like that could be it. Don't hate me but I possibly take the pricey Windows aswell.

You can go for this if you like it. If you got the PC dont forget to tune the curve for the fans and the pump for the liquid freezerIII in the bios. Otherwise the pump could be a little bit noisy. If you need help for this you can ask in this thread. I have some experience with this cooler. Its easy and its 100% worth it.
