PC Gaming

First of all don't think the Japanese outrage will matter too much to Ubisoft, they always targeted a western market with their games.

Second they will not sell but go private with their stock which is different and something that would calm a lot of their investors at the moment.

With that news their stock also recovered a bit.

And last but not least don't think the new Assassin's Creed will fail, it is a cool setting and I think it will do well.

So yeah Ubisoft will still exist next year just not maybe as a publicly traded company.

It's not the first crisis they had and won't be the last. But seeing how long they exists together with the other big companies, I wouldn't expect any change there.

EA, Microsoft/Activision, Ubisoft etc are all too well established for something big happening there and the name value alone keeps them pretty safe.

Whenever I read: this will be the downfall of big company x, I know it won't be. Because those companies have stayed big so long for a reason

The Japanese outrage won't hurt them that much but it still isn't great PA, where they basically completely ignored any historical accuracy in the next game.

Their stock is has recovered slightly but is still half what it was before Star Wars was released.

TBH I am not that bothered what happens to Ubisoft haven't enjoyed any of their games for a very long time.

If people are willing to pay it, then the prices will never change.

This is what will happen. The prices will never go back to normal for pc gpus because most people are fine with the price-performance ratio of current gpus.

I think I'm starting to come in terms of quitting pc gaming or modern gaming in general. My last gpu was 980 ti, and now I'm only playing x360 gen games with intel hd 530 and I think I will stick with this for next 5-10 years. My last console is x360 and I will most likely get a ps4 over time to play some of the games that got old gen port and that will be it.

Hey everyone! I get that GPU prices are insane, and the new gen might not be worth it. Maybe consider older models or consoles? Sometimes less is more, and classic games can still be ablast. Don't let the hype get to you :CONF: !

A used 2nd hand Geforce 1660 super can do wonders. Capable of playing 99% of all current pc games, at low. Some older games, even cyberpunk at medium settings. About 100 bugs on ebay. Also very low power usage, for additional money saving.

With demanding 11mio pixels whooping (7680x1440 triples) in my sim rig, I could use some more power for my sim racing needs.
For single screen living room games (1-3 a year) in 4K it’s ok and I also set my games up to run 100fps with triples… but a bit more performance is needed.
If the 5000 series will be as expensive as expected, I’ll have a look at the new RDNA4’s.
If that don’t suit my needs, I’ll probably try to get a cheap 7900xtx or similar.

The pricing for the 5000 series could be a little off but expect the 5090 to be £2000.
Nvidia have the market in the extreme performance and AMD can't match it - Swear I read somewhere that AMD aren't even going to make high end cards anymore as they just can't compete with Nvidia.

I will wait for CES and wait for the announcement there is little to zero chance I will upgrade as my 4090 gets 100FPS 4K native in every game.
There is pretty much zero need to upgrade either as games are always made for the lowest system which is consoles and there won't be any new ones for about 3/4 years.

Yeah, but my 6800 XT is like three years on the market so I’m craving for something new.
Also, when I bought my 1440p triples, I had on GPU upgrade in mind already, well knowing the 6800 XT won’t last me forever.
I’m good with a 100 FPS set up on the triples (sure I have to make sacrifices in details) but I wish I could get like super flawless 140 FPS.

Possibly wait for the new 5000 series and the 4000 series cards will flood the 2nd hand market.
Probably be able to pick up a 4080 pretty cheap.
