Hopefully this gets added to other regions too. I'm sure the German amazon was the first to have the killzone bundle and then it was added elsewhere so hopefully this does too.



It seems though that it's only for certain titles and the free game is one of either killzone, knack or drive club (which I assume will be changed now it's delayed)

Sony had better patch in MP3 playback, its a basic function and a silly decision to not include it as default. The last two years of NBA 2K I had over 2000 mp3 tracks for in game sounds, getting rid of this feature is stupid.

Sports games and racing games aren't the same without the option of replacing all the garbage licensed music.

The lack of DLNA doesn't affect me but that's another weird feature to leave out.

No it isn't, and one will look very good, one will look great.

Why anyone would choose an inferior console when we have free choice now is beyond me. it also doesn't bode well. The difference in price is an irrelevance.

Destiny looks interesting if we really can play the campain in online co-op, like borderlands. Don´t care about online PVP but co-op games are great.
 
I'm massively annoyed by the lack of CD and DLNA playback. The latter in particular is what I use my PS3 for, along with Netflix, almost as much as games.

My stereo in my room can wirelessly stream from my phone or any laptop. My phone can control my stereo. I can currently choose a Youtube video on my phone and get my PS3 to play it back. Why is the PS4 going back in time??

Hmm didn't know about this, that would interest me, especially if we're talking split screen couch coop? Would gladly play through it with my wife :)
 
As mentioned above: Sony have confirmed the PS4 will not be able to play music CD's, won't be able to play mp3's and will not have media server support. For those that stream content from a network drive this a huge deal.

Currently no external hard drive support either.

So it currently looks like you can't play any of your downloaded movies or music on it at all in any way.

This, I can't believe that when its one of the best elements of a PS3 being able to stream content, MP3 use isn't as important but the fact is it should definitely be a feature.

Huge letdown that.

It's a very poor move that I can only imagine has something to do with Music Unlimited.

It's causing real upset around the globe, especially the lack of MP3 functionality. Absolutely bizarre omission - a lot of folks include custom sound tracks/chants etc. etc. for many games. It's now not an option and the PS4 apparently doesn't have the hardware to cater for it in the future.

What the hell.
 
Well I'm not that desperate.

This is all stuff that should be easily patched in to be fair - it's software limitations, not hardware. I would however say it's a dealbreaker for me until it does get patched in. It would take a hell of a lot for me to want to get an Xbone given the cost of it vs its notably poorer performance, as well as the formulaic and brainless nature of its exclusives. But streaming locally as well as via the internet should be a given by now, and I won't sacrifice 60% of my console's weekly usage for the sake of prettier graphics during the other 40%.

This can't be a genuine Q&A from Sony? Surely. Not.

You can expand it using a larger internal HDD, and I assume they'll patch it in - given that the console can't even play DVDs until the day one patch, it's clear they decided to put a lot of focus elsewhere to begin with.
 
I think we all have to blame Microsoft for these PS4 restrictions, if they are intentional. If Xone was not such a poor console it could be a competition to PS4 and they would be forced to not make these kind of things, but with no competition we can expect even more restrictions by Sony in the future.

Of course, if these things are only a matter of hardware it may be patched in the future, but if it´s to force people to use the music and video unlimited it´s a complete bullshit by Sony!!!
