Next Gen Consoles

so low spec pcs when showing ps4 version. But then what for this Xbox version? Ive not seen any reports of the game looking bad like ps4 so either they fixed all of that in the past few weeks or they're using the high end pc version.

Not too sure, but I am guessing Microsoft were using high spec PC's.
As the PS4 is meant to be slightly more powerful than the XBOX I would assume the XBOX would have the same problems as the PS4.

I wouldn't worry too much about the graphics tbh, just as long as you get the same game the PC players are getting.

Pre-ordered my PS4 with FIFA and Watchdogs for the same price as an XBONE, plus i will get Drive club for free.

Plus...

Warframe
Planet side 2
DC universe
War Thunder
Backlight retribution

Then also announced as free on ps+ (but we no set date yet)

Don't starve
Secret ponchos
Outlast

It is a shame that you can't install games on to the HD, because if you could I would really look into getting an SSD for the PS4.

I do think consoles should have the option to install, as playing FIFA on the PS3 is really painful to watch load.

You can install PS4 disc based games to the internal HDD, but the disc still needs to be inside the PS4 for verification purposes. PS4 disc based games cannot be installed to an external HDD though.

Specs baby!

More Tflops and better RAM.

Also apparently easy to develop for and very indie friendly.

Plus PS+ offering enough free games per month.

Think there's more but cannot remember.

We're just havin' a laugh. Both consoles will be great--even more so as time goes by.

Ah ok, i thought there was some technical diference that was giving the ps4 the upperhand... im going xbox one(dont really have an option as I have all my friends at Xbox Live and i also prefer the controller)

Ill eventually buy the ps4 too for MLB the Show.. but so far as FIFA it looks better/shaper on Xbox 360 than PS3, wonder if that will be the case in next gent too.... (PES ill go PC)

There is a technical difference..

New news then....

PlayStation 4 racing game DriveClub's PlayStation Plus Edition is the full game minus a few cars and tracks, developer Evolution Studios has said.

Design director Paul Rustchynsky took to NeoGAF to clarify a few things about the free version of the game that will be made available to PlayStation Plus subscribers on the launch of the PlayStation 4.

You can earn the Platinum Trophy from the PS Plus Edition, Rustchynsky said. When you upgrade from the PS Plus Edition you get the full edition, which doesn't require a PS Plus subscription.

"There will be a discount to upgrade to the full digital edition from the PS+ edition, but prices won't be announced for a few more weeks yet," he added.

Rustchynsky confirmed the PS Plus Edition of DriveClub will be available "well into the new year", so you won't have to rush to set up your PSN account.

Some other tidbits:

"We are working on a photo mode, but that's all I can say about it right now."

And: "No Split-Screen I'm afraid."

Driveclub is part of the PS4's launch lineup of games, and goes on sale as a Blu-ray disc and download alongside the console on 29th November in Europe.

Interesting, explains why an exclusive like MLB the show looked so incredible on the ps3...

Do u guys think EA will continue to program FIFa for the xbox and port to ps4 like this generation? (wich makes it better on the 360)

I think most games will essentially end up looking and acting the same though on both systems. Personally, I've always favored PS because of the controller. Loved the DS1-DS3, and I expect to feel the same way about the DS4. All reports about it have been very positive so far. On the other hand, I've never felt comfortable the Xbox controllers, especially in regards to their bulk.

On the PS3 you could swap HDDs but you couldn't for the 360 (you could but not an easy process). If that's the case next-gen then that's a plus too.

I think most devs really develop on high end PCs (even for games not coming to PC), so whichever is the easiest to port from PC will be the best looking, last gen definitely the 360 but not the case now, apparently a AAA PC game will only take around 6-8 weeks to port to PS4, that's staggering for developers.

You can change the PS4 HDD they confirmed that, but I believe the Xbone HDD cannot be changed?
