The effects we're decent but they skimmed over the best bits about the story, and Pitt as Achillies (sp) was bobbins, the guy was supposed to be a feckin hard nut not some pretty boy with barely a scratch on him.

But overall it was okay....

Saw 50 First dates yest. very, very funny film. Typical Adam Sandler, and its always good to see drew barrymore dolled up ;) :)
 
Yeah saw that a couple of weeks ago, very good. It was good to see Rob Schneider doing more than the traditional cameo that both do in each other's films.

Saw Shaun of the Dead last night, thought it was very funny.

I dunnoe bout you guys but I love seeing trailers of upcoming movies.The trailers I saw today are The Village,White Chicks,I,Robot,Mean Girls and Alien VS Predator.I especially know I will like The Village,I,Robot and AVP....check it out guys.. www.apple.com/trailers
 
Saw Almost Famous last night on ITV, about some young dude that follows an up and coming band around. . . thought it was very good.
 
i saw troy last night fully expected to be let down based on it hype and was pleasently suprised! good film and i thought brad piit did well for his first action hero roll!
 
Just saw Troy and it was fecking awful. I bloody hated it. The acting in it was way below par. Brad Pitt just doesn't fit that role IMO. Orlando Bloom was average too. I'm so pissed off cos I wanted it to be great and I feel let down. It was WAY too long.. me and my mate were just cracking up near the end because it was so unrealistic and shite. Jesus. We actually considered walking out at one part but thought we'd wait until the end.. and that was shite too. It took about 10 arrows to kill him.

suprised by your opinion! its weird how people have different opinions of films like, i thought it was great and you hated it he he
 
I'll watch "The day after tomorrow" on wednesday. Cant wait .
 
I saw the new Jet Li film 'Hero' tonight, absolutely stunning, just think Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, but with more fights and you'll be about there!!

It revolves around a Nameless Warrior (Jet Li) who has killed loads of Assassins across China and goes to the King to reap his rewards...........it doesn't quite run as simple as that tho!!

It has to be one of the most beautiful films I've ever seen (I ain't including Porn in that!! ;) ) ................Check it out................... :shock:

It was quite stupid how the soldiers somehow knew about Achilles' poisoned ankle which led to his easy death. They assumed the whole audience knew about his ankle.

Just saw The day After Tomorrow.

Not bad at all. The storyline is all real according to the science department of europe. But the movie itself was quite cheesy.

Tomorrow im off to see Coffee and Cigarettes. Antonio Begnini is in, so is Iggy Pop and many others.
 
Just saw Day After Tomorrow as well SFX were excellent. Also thought storyline was cheesy. Did anyone think the bit in the library where everyting is rapidly icing in seconds and a small fire still stays a light was a bit stupid.
 
I watched 28 days later last night and thought it was good. I've watched 3 Zombie movies in the last month or so- The 2 Dawn of the Deads and Shaun of the Dead.
This one was pretty high up. I enjoyed it far more than the original Dawn of the Dead. It was on a par with the re-make of the new Dawn of the Dead I suppose. The ending was the only thing I didn't like. I know it was made to leave it open, but it just pissed me off. The alternative ending was even worse as well. I loved the whole "London is empty" scenario though, some cracking scenes there. Fleetwood got a mention on a signpost too, that was one of my highlights of the film. :mrgreen:
 
I have to agree with you Hutch i loved that film,only thing is i thought shaun o t d was shite.

Went to see Clint Eastwoods new flick "Mystic River" on Sunday night. This movie is absolutely BRILLIANT. SEAN PENN WILL GET BEST ACTOR. Tim Robbins and Kevin Bacon will split Best Supporting Actor in half and Clint Eastwood will get Best Director. The acting was unbelievable. I don't know when it's out in Europe but you all have to see it. Lawrence Fishburn from the matrix is in it too, and Laura Linney. Great Film. top 10 material.

Finally saw this tonight, didn't think it was anywhere near as good as it has been made out to be. I thought the eventual killer(s) and the reason for the murder was very weak, and led to a total anti-climax (before Jimmy kills Dave, it was a really good film).

I'd give it 7/10. Anyone else seen it, apart from Gunner who's unlikely to reply?

There's no English Dub available anyway yet, but I got the Region 3 version (which has subtitles, which is the best way to watch it anyway) from CD-WOW for £10.99...........an absolute bargin!!!

Purchase NOW!!!! ;)
