Agree with Dags, that the whole event was a bit "meh". The main event was a great fight though. JJ is so unpredictable, Joe Rogan nailed it at the start when he said Jones just makes it up as he goes along! So true, and so great to watch. The spinning back elbow against the cage was quality. Great fighter, should breeze past Rashad.
 
I thought Fight Night was better than UFC 128 or whatever it was.

The twister was insanely good! :SHOCK: Got to love The Korean Zombie though, easily one of my favourite MMA fighters.

Hardy is a bit of a joke really, he's never impressed me in any of his fights. Same as Bisping has never impressed. Paul Daley is the only Brit with any "wow" factor from what I've seen in the UFC.
 
Agreed, not a Bisping or Hardy fan. I like to see Dan do well though, Mike just irritates me, even though he is our best and most well-rounded fighter. I really like Brad Pickett as well, he fly's under the radar for the most part as he operates at Bantamweight in the WEC. He won his first couple of fights in style before losing to Scotty Jorgensen by decision in a very close fight. Jorgensen then fought Cruz for the title.

The UFC have signed Pickett so keep an eye out for him, he is very talented, and has excellent wrestling for a Brit. He is right in the mix at 135lbs, and is due to fight former champ Miguel Torres at UFC 130. This is will be his UFC debut and it doesnt come any harder than Torres.

Also, John Hathaway was on a great run until he met Pyle, his performance against Diego Sanchez was superb. He edged McCray on undercard of the FN card, decent fight as well.
 
Another cracking Strikeforce card on Saturday night, they do seem to either provide amazing fights, or great knockouts and submissions. Diaz v Daley was an incredible shoot-out, loved the Jardine fight to.

Melendez looked superb again, Dana needs to get Melendez over the UFC, he is Top 5 without question. Great return for Aoki as well, very slick.
 
The fact that Wanderlei is facing Chris F'n Leben just shows how the mighty have fallen...
 
Got to watch Strikeforce last night and again it was a quality event, just constant entertainment and excitement.

Loved the final fight, and the Jardine and Melendez fights were both great watching for different reasons.

I think in a way I'd love to see Strikeforce v UFC but then is it the Strikeforce matchmaking that has Strikeforce so exciting? I might be a bit worried that Joe Silva might ruin it a bit.

GSP v Shields? :YAWN:
 
He is only in with Shields because there is no-one left for GSP. He has cleaned out the division twice over. After he beats Shields that's it, he has to move to 185.

KO's, Flying triangle, slams and suplexes and some extra heads to boot

Been watching Ultimate Fighter this season though. Something I skipped out on last couple years.

I quite liked Leroy at the start, began to really grind on me not long into the show though.
 
Had a bet with a mate on Kongo vs Barry whilst we were watching it last night

Here's me cheering on Barry thinking its almost over twice, then in the blink of an eye he's on his back snoring

couple of fights worth watching: cruz-faber, leben-silva, ortiz-bader, condit-kim, guillard-roller and dos anjos-sotiropolous...

quite a good card then

I was going to have a bet as well for the first time in ages but forgot in the end, its sods law that the bet would have won
