It was the first one that done all the damage, you could see his eyes had already rolled back into his head after just that 1 punch.

I think Carwin has good chances of knocking Frank Mir.
Frank has had problems in the past with huge wrestlers, so this guy can take a punch, and he has good wrestling too.

I wouldn't be surprised if Frank Mir knocks him out, his boxing has been improving dramatically.

However, I think, Carwin has more chances of winning this fight, they are both really good fighters.
I can't wait for the fight!

Seems to me he is more of a fighter dodger with his weird contracts and 1 fight a year

he has a chance as he is stood in the same cage, but not a realistic chance

we may see an upset but i believe GSP will win.

I agree. You always have a 'chance' especially when you have knockout power and can take punishment like Hardy can! Then 1 good second can change everything!

But like yourself, a realistic chance, I don't know... they're from two different classes really and I suppose just like Burnley has an outside chance of upsetting Man Utd on their day, Hardy has a chance but not a particularly realistic one against the Montreal boy.

We'll find out soon enough...

I think its obvious to us all that GSP is by far a better mixed martial artist than Dan Hardy and probably the most complete MMA fighter to date so its all about Hardy's tactics and if GSP makes a mistake

The latter will probably be the only way Hardy wins tonight because GSP is better at everything except having a solid chin and knockout power but they are massive things Hardy has over him so GSP won't be looking to strike with him so he doesn't give him the "punchers chance" to take him out

But Hardy has a whole 25 minutes to capitalise on a mistake if he doesn't get overcome beforehand

I think GSP will just keep trying for, (and probably succeeding), in going for takedowns as he knows Hardy is most dangerous on his feet. I predict a win for GSP by unanimous decision sadly. Mir v Carwin should be good, I don't really know anything about Carwin but I like Frank Mir so want him to win!

mir actually looks in the best shape i have seen him since his motorcycle accident years ago. looks like he has put the effort in training, as he is normally carrying some extra uneeded weight. this time he has packed on muscle and has shredded the bit of fat he head.

i can't see GSP finishing Hardy, i can see it going to a decision with GSP comfortably winning

but you can never say never

looking forward to this

I can see GSP finishing Hardy. Don't necessarily see it go 5 rounds and a unanimous decision but yeah we'll find out soon I guess. Hope it's a good fight. :)

I wouldnt agree with that. He beat every top guy there was to beat in Pride. He will fight Josh Barnett and possibly Overeem this year sometime in Japan.

Fedor's the man!

As for GSP vs. Hardy fight, well it was complete one way traffic. Did Hardy even land 1 punch on him? Got absolutely dominated every round. Simply outclassed as we all expected.

BUT, What a tough f'n kid!! I have NO IDEA how he did not TAP out on those 2 submissions! :WORSHIP:
His arm was nearly coming off! Lol Extreme tenacity, determination and toughness shown by the Brit which is the only reason the fight went the whole way and GSP couldn't finish him because anyone else would've probably tapped. Nice prediction though.

UFC 111

What a shit main event, GSP showed he could take Hardy down at will yet he did nothing from it. Ok he got Hardy in 2 submission attempts but that's all he did in 25 minutes apart from takedown after takedown. He may go down as the best athlete but he certainly aint the best fighter

Carwin is a fucking monster, thats all i need to say about that fight

Pellegrino vs Camoes was a very enjoyable fight and its good to see a performance from Nate Diaz

UFC 111

We all knew what was gonna happen in the main event, just a shame it was so shit. Totally agree with Coopz about GSP being a top top athlete, but not sure about as a fighter...

Anyone else excited for UFC Fight Night tonight? I'm watching it live at 1am. Can't wait to see Ross Pearson who's on first. Hopefully we get to see Andre Winner's fight too at some point. I like KenFlo too. And I really hope Stefan Struve knocks Fat Cunt Nelson out.

I'll be watching it live as well, interesting fights and looking forward to the same as you. Tim. Apart from Florian, not fussed either way on him but looking forward to Gomi having heard him touted for a while.

Ultimate Fighter starts tonight as well :)

Takanori Gomi is finished! He has been average at best over the last 3 years, the guy struggled in Sengoku so him losing in UFC is no surprise.
