You beat me posting the Primetime things :)

Hardy seems to have got into GSP's head already judging by the stuff he is saying. But what he does say and what his coaches say makes it sound like Hardy has no chance against the "biggest, fastest and strongest GSP" according to them

Gotta love Hardy's quotes though, he's gonna beat the fake tan off him

Looking forward to UFC tonight :)). Apparantly it starts at 1am too instead of 3am? Is that because it's not a PPV in America?

It starts in 01h:30mm

It's not a PPV here in America

next week GSP vs Dan Hardy is a PPV
and on March 31 it's UFC Fight Night: Kenflo is going to fight again!

So we have 3 UFC Events in the next 10 days

All in all I think the fans and the UFC will be happy with this free show.

Light Heavyweight bout: Brandon Vera vs. Jon Jones
The rocket has lifted off. I couldn't be more of a fan of Jon Jones. A friend of mine said that he hasn't seen such a "blue chip" prospect in this sport outside of Brock.

Heavyweight bout: Junior dos Santos vs. Gabriel Gonzaga
The UFC would have gained nothing if Gonzaga wins. But with Dos Santos winning in the fashion he did, now you have created a superstar.

I think with these 2 matches you have just taken 2 guys who headlined a free show, to 2 guys who can easily be 2nd or 3rd on a PPV. This alone was a reason this show was a great success for the UFC.

Heavyweight bout: Cheick Kongo vs. Paul Buentello
I don't know what happened to Buentello's finger but that freaked me out. I thought he was trying to rip it off so he could continued to fight  Kongo keeps he role as the gatekeeper of the heavyweight division.

Middleweight bout: Alessio Sakara vs. James Irvin
This fight had a bizarre finish. As Irvin wasn't poked in the eye, just punched in the eye. I'm glad it was stopped anyway, because it should have been over initially

Welterweight bout: John Howard vs. Daniel Roberts(replaced Anthony Johnson)
After watching Howard I would love to see him vs Johnson. Fun fight with "Ninja" Roberts trying so things, and then Howard with a great slam and a wicked finish. I thought it actually killed him. He was down for a long time. I would be surprised if he isn't high up on the main card of another free show.

All of these fights weren't aired:
Light Heavyweight bout: Eric Schafer vs. Jason Brilz
Welterweight bout: Mike Pierce vs. Julio Paulino
Heavyweight bout: Brendan Schaub vs. Chase Gormley
Lightweight bout Duane Ludwig vs. Darren Elkins
Light Heavyweight bout: Eliot Marshall vs. Vladimir Matyushenko
Lightweight bout: Clay Guida vs. Shannon Gugerty

So I can't really comment. I can't believe they wouldn't show a Guida fight. His fights are almost always fight of the night.

UFC on Versus

Really good event overall I thought :)). Jonny Bones Jones is awesome. He impressed against Hammill even though he lost by DQ, and impressed again tonight. That elbow must have hurt so much for Vera to react the way he did

Dos Santos was good to watch too, I like him.

Cheick Kongo really stuck to his gameplan knowing that Buentello has no ground game, and Kongo was strong enough to keep taking him down at will. I can appreciate this sort of performance just as much as the Jon Jones one for example. I really like Kongo's TapouT t shirt too! Tempted to buy it, but then it's got French colours on the front .

And the Howard punch that KO'd Roberts :CONFUSE: He was literally unconscious for about 2 minutes and was still only just coming round when they made the official winner announcement! That was some punch.

You mean punches ;)

He was out after the first but the last one especially must have knocked him into next week
