Nog looked really slow and I think Velasquez was quality in that he didn't overdo the celebration in respect to all Nogueira has achieved. Bisping, arrrggh, he always leans back on his feet too much, meaning no power in those punches. Whereas Wanderlei swings wildly hoping to catch you. Bisping looked suspect. Has something to prove now. Hey, how about the George Sotiropoulos Joe Stevenson fight- now that was quality, some great moves/counter moves.

I was REALLY impressed with the Stevenson v Sotiropolous fight, really good technical skills shown.

Hey guys
We were talking about how newbie the UFC webmaster is
I don't think it's the webmaster, the whole company needs a production crew

So, they did it again, the UFC 110 Post-fight press conference is as good as a MP3 with 22kbps audio
worst than AM

really, it's a big disaster.

I really want to see all the conference, so if anybody knows if there's a good version on it, please let me know

I can't believe the quality of a press conference, it's unbelievable.

Sometimes Dana White says UFC is going to be bigger than soccer, but man, when they do that, it really makes me wonder how on earth will people take that company seriously

I appreciate responses, I really want to see the press conference! :)

campeao!!!

FORCA WANDY!!!
CAMPEAO!!!
Deus e a minha forca

Eu caio como quase todos os grandes
Wandy caio!!!

Mas Deus e a minha forca!!!!

For a while
I thought I fell asleep
Lying motionless inside a dream

I felt my career was over
I felt naysayers say my name
Wandy is done, he's not the same
what a horrible dream

Then rising suddenly
I felt a chilling breath upon me
She softly whispered in my ear

Forsaken
I have come for you tonight
Awaken
Look into my eyes and take my hand

You will never be forsaken!!!

I waited painfully
For night to fall again
Trying to silence the fear within me

Now that Bisping is done
I wonder who will come

because I will never be Forsaken!!!

Spoiler? I finished watching it this morning, but there might be others still to catch up...

I agree that Bisping could have been better, his striking seemed to be lacking any snap. Wanderlei's flurries v Bisping's takedowns must have made it a close score though?
Had to laugh at Rampage calling for elbows after one of the takedowns. It was like watching him on TUF10 again...

That leg lock by Lytle was brutal!

The much-maligned rumor mill involving Fedor Emelianenko's next fight will continue on until some company decides to step out of the shadows and announce him for their next card. Head Kick Legend did receive confirmation the other day that Emelianenko's camp is in negotiations for an upcoming bout, but suspiciously enough, no promotion was named. Normally, not a big deal, right? He has a contract with Strikeforce, they have a CBS card upcoming and possibly a PPV. Easy. The non-exclusive nature of the contract as well as Fedor and M-1's take has led to questions and speculation. Instead of Strikeforce putting the fire out, they remain silent and Sasahara from DREAM hasn't done anything to help in that matter, either.

At the DREAM presser, he went out of his way telling the press that Andre Dida vs. KJ Noons will be one of two bouts on the DREAM.13 card with a theme of Strikeforce vs. DREAM. The other fight, still unannounced will be a heavyweight showdown, featuring a DREAM heavyweight and a Strikeforce heavyweight. Innocent enough, right? The level of fighter Sasahara mentioned was a "Fedor-level" heavyweight, quoted in some Japanese news sources as "super-heavyweight" (not meaning heavy, like Bob Sapp, but a superstar).

So while there will be something more solid next week, put together the situation with what facts we already have. First of all, Fedor Emelianenko has not been announced for a Strikeforce card yet. K-1 has offered him a giant money contract in the past (if you don't believe me, I have actually seen it), K-1 can put far more money on the table and has a national television deal as long as they can prove a card worthy, as well as big money backers and sponsors. Fighters like Alistair Overeem have been hesitant to leave Japan as the money is just too good to pass up for much less in the United States. So is Fedor a possiblity? Until we hear otherwise, yes.

Speaking of Alistair Overeem, the chances of him being the Strikeforce fighter are very low, as he is the only real DREAM heavyweight of value, Strikeforce Heavyweight Champion or not. That means what we are most likely looking at here, is who will fight Alistair Overeem for the vacant DREAM Heavyweight Title (Tanigawa confirmed this earlier in the year, Overeem vs. X for the DREAM Heavyweight belt). Another name that shouldn't be crossed out to fight would be Andrei Arlovski. Arlovski has been working on getting a new contract with Strikeforce together in between his boxing exploits, and was actually handed a contract from FEG to fight Overeem on New Year's Eve before Golden Glory manager Bas Boon refused to sign the fight. Andrei's camp was furious, but the door could very well still be open, as he has been rumored to fight in DREAM early this year.

Another big name heavyweight that is without an upcoming fight is Tim Sylvia. Sylvia has been trying to make his DREAM debut since October now, and his fight next month has fallen apart twice now. Other names to think of are Brett Rogers, who has expressed interest in fighting Overeem and hasn't been booked yet or Antonio Silva.

Strikeforce Challengers is on tomorrow night :)

awesome
I would like to see Wandy vs Robbie Lawler

I really like the way Gegard Mousasi fights, I would like to see him at UFC

About strikeforce tomorrow, man, they should promote their events somewhere, last Strikeforce in Miami was almost unheard of

good to see Fedor going down the mayweather route.

http://content.usatoday.com/communi...-overeem-test-clean-or-we-wont-fight/1?csp=34

Fedor Emelianenko's manager says his fighter will only face Strikeforce champion Alistair Overeem after Overeem proves he isn't taking performance enhancers commonly banned from competition.

Overeem has said he wants to face Emelianenko this year. But Overeem first has to pass drug tests adminstered by a third party, Emelianenko's manager, Apy Echtfeld, told mixfight.nl, a Dutch site about mixed martial arts.

Since winning the Strikeforce heavyweight belt in November 2007 as a 220-pounder, Overeem has put on dozens of pounds, mostly muscle. He has yet to defend that championship, and top-10 heavyweight Brett Rogers has lambasted Overeem of staying out of the U.S. fight scene for "medical issues" that require him to purge himself. From Rogers' November interview with Fighting Stances:

I'm sure I'm not the only one who's frustrated with that. We have to sit around and wait for somebody to basically cleanse their body out to fight in America, you know what I mean?

Overeem has credited a diet of horsemeat, rice and protein shakes for helping him to bulk up.

Emelianenko's main promoter, M-1 Global, said Thursday that their fighter will face Fabricio Werdum in May.

And it's in New York so the programme will start about Midnight for us in the UK :)). There's a load of us getting together to watch this one live!

Its not in New York, the UFC still dont have a licence to fight there

Even if it was NY it would still be a 10PM start as well which is 3AM for us

Strikeforce Challengers was a decent event, I enjoy the pre-fight interviews :)

Gutted that the Prangley - Amoussou fight was stopped early, shitty rules and they need changing because that was looking like it'd be a really good fight :(

I assume the UK guys will be excited for this one, that fighter Dan Hardy has REALLY good boxing

he trained with top trainer Freddie Roach, here in LA, and his hands are REALLY good

Let's not forget he caught the Irish Hand Grenade with a solid knee to the chin, and from there dominated the fight

I'm excited for this fight, but in all honesty, GSP stand up is really good

the first fight between GSP and BJ was a total domination by BJ Penn in the standup.

However, the second fight (I was there in Vegas), man, GSP standed there with BJ, and his stand up was perfect

It makes me laugh when Dana says there are 'holes' in GPS standup
hahaha

he is obviously doing his job, trying to sell a fight, and trying to make us think that Dan Hardy's chances are really good.

in all honesty, if Hardy connects, fight is over, but again, GSP stand up is world class, so it will be hard to do that

I'm excited for that fight, if Hardy connects, he might be the first UK champion! :BSCARF:

hope gsp skools hardy. hardy doesn't deserve a title shot

Hey Biter Rivals
I'm going to explain you what I've heard in the MMA world
if you don't agree, that's fine, but it's a concept, let me share it with you

it's the principle of STEALING THE SPOTLIGHT

Now, I know you think that Hardy doesn't deserves the title shot
but, in all honesty, Mike Quick Swick was 10-0 a few months ago

So when Dan Hardy defeated Quick Swick, then he stole his momentum.

You can't make Quick Swick fight for the title after coming out of a loss

and all the top guys already fought GSP

It is a little bit premature, but he deserves the title shot, because of that fact that he stole the momentum of Mike Swick

i know what you mean, but he has jumped in far to quick and it will hopefully show when he fights gsp

look at finch who went undefeated more than most, look at swick who like you said was 10-0 and he didn't get a title shot

i think hardy has got lucky

look at finch who went undefeated more than most, look at swick who like you said was 10-0 and he didn't get a title shot

yeah, Mike Swick deserved a title shot long time ago!
even before than BJ Penn, who went straight from 155lbs to 170lbs
that is just not fair

However, with that said, let's pretend I go to the street where you live.

then, I steal your car

and smile

because I DO NOT DESERVE YOUR CAR
and even though you fought so hard to have your own car
I would be the new owner of it :)

So, since I STOLE IT
EVEN THOUGH I don't deserve it
it would be my car :)

I would be driving your car, I would be the new owner

It's a crappy concept, it's unfair, it sucks, but it's a valid concept.

I am 99% sure, GPS will have a total domination in that fight

I think GPS will take him down as often as he wants to, and he will ground and pound him

So, I think, when a fight is not competitive (not to take anything away from Hardy), then, it shouldn't be a main event

GPS vs Hardy shouldn't be a main event
Anderson Silva vs Damian Maia shouldn't be a main event

Main events should be reserved for 2 fighters with similar chances of winning the fight. Example, Frank Mir vs Shane Carwin.

That's a fight that nobody knows what will happen

GPS vs Dan Hardy, it's a fight that's 99% predictable

The same goes to Randy Couture vs Mark the Hammer Coleman
haha

so, with that said, I hope UFC really starts to understand the CONCEPT of Main Event

Even if it's not for the title, you can't put an un-even fight as the main event

Specially now a days with Anderson, Georges, and BJ being so dominant

205 is the only division now that is really exciting in the UFC

Josh Barnett finally in Dream. This is good for him and I guess Dream will still allow him to do his Pro-Wrestling bookings. Well done Josh!

MMA Weekly reports that Josh Barnett has signed a contract with DREAM.

For weeks there have been rumors that Barnett would be apart of DREAM's March 22nd show, though the Japanese promotion has struggled to find an opponent for Josh. The fight was reportedly offered to Antonio Silva and Tim Sylvia who both turned it down. Antonio passed in hopes of a fight in Strikeforce this May (it was just announced that Silva will fight Andrei Arlovski) while Sylvia's status is up in the air as he is connected to two other fights in late March.

Barnett has been in limbo since failing a pre-fight steroid test in August of 2009. That positive test caused the Affliction: Trilogy fight card to fall apart and the promotion to close shop. Josh announced that he planned to appeal the test though the hearing has been delayed four times.

No word on a possible opponent for Barnett thought Pedro Rizzo, Jeff Monson and Aleksander Emelianenko are available while DREAM has Sergei Kharitonov under contract.
