Microsoft Xbox 360

youre talking about nba home courts(EA BIG game) right?
cause NBA 2k7 has been realised for months now.
if so, i didnt like it neither...way too arcadish for my taste.

on another subject, i cant wait for MLB2k7!
from what ive seen theyve reworked the game almost 100% , specially witht the addition of EA MVP series producer. way too go 2k! (well ive got to hope this game plays good, cause thats gonna be the only opition ball game in 360, while ps3 will still have SCEA MLB the show, which is already proven a great game in past gen. yet to bee seen a screen of the next gen version)

yeah i was talking about homecourt

Is there nothing wrong with GRAW other than the boringness? I'm thinking of getting it before GRAW2

GRAW is a great game really mate, I just got piss bored with it. I completed it and took it back. Online it's really good but I'm a FPS man so I am probably not the best person to ask. I found it got really frustrating at times, too. Some parts of the game seem IMPOSSIBLE and you will get stuck for hours.

I'd give it an 8/10.

I have 2 pads for the X360, one with a charge kit and one that still uses normal AA batteries. Now if I bought some rechargable AA batteries, could I use the charge kit cable to charge them whilst in the pad or can I only use proper adaptor plug that came with it?

Nope, the the contacts for charging are not on the battery terminals, you would need a battery charger too.

Ive seen them in sets, 4 chargeble batteries with a plugcharger, they didnt cost much either. The GF uses them for the wireless mouse, works well.

Yeah there £10 in Asda got one for me Wii. May as well get the charger kit fot the 360 plus you get another battery pack with it.

I currently have one of those but the problem is, if your batteries ran out during a game, you'd have to take the batteries out and charge them before using it again. But with the charge kit, you just plug the pad into the USB port and it charges as you play. I was kinda hoping you could charge AA batteries in this way but sadly you cant.

Has anybody tried the XBOX 360 Official Wireless Force Feedback Wheel yet?

Having read the new snippets about Forza Motorsport 2, it's really tempting me to splash out (£80!!) and have a play with PGR3 in the meantime. From the sound of the way the feedback works, the wheel doesn't just shake if you go over something bumpy and shake if you're going too slow/fast - it rumbles at different parts, in different ways, meaning you know when you're going to oversteer before you oversteer by how limp the wheel goes etc...

It sounds brilliant. Why can't I win the lottery? Just a small win, just £1,000, even £100... :(

I had it for approx 3 days. It was fine but I decided to give it back as I had a feeling that I wouldn't play it all the time and although it added to the experience, it does give you a slight disadvantage with lap times compared to the pad. I dunno whether, in the long run, it's worth it or not

Actually JB, you had advised me regarding force feedback wheels a couple of posts back. I'm just regurgitating everything you said ;)

Oh yeah!! Haha, I officially have the worst memory in my family (including two 60-year-olds and a 70-year-old - I walk into a room and forget what I went in there for more often than they do).

I know from past experience that the wheels are fun but more difficult than using a pad - but hearing how you get subtle hints from the force feedback in different areas really got my motor running (har har, get it?). Don't know if it's worth £80 but... It would be fun.

I didn't really get into PGR3. But really like Burnout and Test Drive Unlimited, prefer more arcadey games. I think there is no point of getting the MS Wheel for this right?

Right - it's designed for realism, so I doubt it would work well. You might as well stick to the pad.

that's pretty strange to be honest, PGR3 is arcadey isn't it? amd still the best racing game on the 360

purely my opinion of course, but I think Burnout: Revenge is utter garbage, and TDU isn't particularly good either

Yeah it is arcade, but just not "fun" for me. I just prefer Burnout (apart from the "most money from crashes" you can make which is boring). Each to their own :)

Burnout for me is just crash.... then crash.... then crash....

There are only so many times and so many ways you can crash before it all starts to get rather tedious!

Burnout is still an awesome arcade racer without the crashes. The crashes are what makes the game different from the rest. The last game apparently had 80 parts on the car that could be damaged and now they've upgraded that to 300 parts.

So I doubt you'd get bored so quickly.

How long have you been playing Pro Evo?
Pass, run, score...tackle, pass, run, score... etc

The key word is 'was' an awesome arcade racer

they ruined it with Revenge, Burnout 3 had some of the best designed tracks I've ever come across, whereas Revenge's track are almost boring and dull in comparison. It also had nicer cars than number four, especially the Assassin Super.

the most dissapointing part of B4 was the takedowns though, in B3 they were perfect, me and my mate spent 8 months trying to beat each other in Road Rage mode because theyre so perfect (as is the game really), but in B4 (especially on 360), theyre just random, I got the demo off Live and instead of actually putting thought into when you moved to take the down, you didnt even have to drive near them, they just crashed (not even a psych out), and what the fuck is traffic checking really, thats the worst part in the whole game, traffic made out of balloons that you can magically hit and they have shite physics, ruins the challenge of the game, and even when it's not meant to be realistic, its like kicking a flyaway.

sorry for the rant, I just hate EA/Criterion for wrecking B3

lol :) yes Pro Evo might be pass, run, pass, pass shoot but every game is different.... On burnout most crashes end up the same way.
