Master League Adventures and other ML stuff 2011!

I think I may already have mate. I know I added a few off here anyway then never bothered to contact them on Live. My GT is; SensiDub6. I found my connection quite decent on MLO so you never know, it's on a Uni network so the upload speed is absolutely colossal. I've had matches against people from Nigeria and Japan with minimal lag, yet I do often have problems with the Spanish for some reason.

As for your second post, I'm certain you can select the division you're promoted into. May have to switch all the Created Teams into the D2 League before hand, but that's easily done.

Record stands at 4 wins and 4 draws in my ML. Hammered Man Utd 3-0, Schwartz scores goals for fun. Had two incidents of blatant dives in the penalty area against me getting cards, which made me laugh. Youth players don't seem to be developing despite assigning training points to them for some reason though.

Just checked and you are on my list. Hit me up for a game whenever you're on and free for a game. Thanks for the ML tips. I want to create all these teams first (a long slog!) but hopefully worth it.
And I can incorporate BAL into ML can't I ?

I'm pretty sure you can't use PES League as a second division Calcio Calabrese.
No matter what league you choose, your division two will always be..."Division Two".

So what you should do is create your Australian teams over the default division 2 teams, start with your team in division Two and choose and another league as division one.

I'm not sure about your second question (can you do that in ML or in edit). What you have to do by al means:
1 overwrite the default division 2 teams with Australian teams you have created.
2 go to ML and start one up. See if your leagues have the desired structure, if they have just continue, if they haven't return to the editing section and set up the league structure you prefer.
3 (if necessary) after setting up the league structure you prefer, then start a ML.

Good luck.

Thanks Gerd. How is your campaign going??

The 2nd question was through the edit teams option. I want to try giving some level of realism in the player faces provided it doesnt take me forever. I will try out your suggestions in due course and report back.

Have played a couple of other ML matches with Racing Genk and things are going pretty smooth.
First i had a match against Westerlo (at home): i took a very early lead with the first attack right after kick-off and from then on everything went smooth, i won 6-1 with an hattrick of my top scorer Ogunjimi.
The next match was much more satisfying. This match came after the return of some (tired) players from international football. I don't know of this is an happy coïncidence but the players who went on international duty are exactly the same players that are Genk's internationals irl (well not all, but mostly): Vanden Borre, Barda, Köteles, Buffel, Anele.
Genk had to play an away match against VFB Stuttgart. After roughly 30 minutes Ogunjimi once again scored (he now has scored in 6 consecutive matches) after a beautifull pass from Vossen. Genk was the better team the first hour, but (just like IRL) the German team became stronger at the end of the match and Genk had to hang on to the advantage. The match ended 0-1.
Genk are now first (by goal difference) together with Kaiserslautern and Kortrijk (which is a big surprise).
Until now this is the most realistic ML i've ever played. I'm playing on top player with a team where the best player (Barda) has an overall rating of 74 and i'm really enjoying it. on top of that, i'm playing in an exciting league where almost every team can win from the other teams... The matches i win are far from walk overs (except the 6-1, but sometimes you have matches where you play good but besides that you are a litle bit lucky: everything goes your way).

This game still has obvious flaws (the player switching hasn't progressed with the "360°"-passing), but i'm really enjoying it. In the 3 previous editions the game became unrealistically difficult after a while. I don't care loosing matches againt the CPU but this is the first next-gen PES were freak losses doesn't happen every weak. In the previous versions i kept on loosing match after match with 1-0 in matches that i completely dominated. The single shot on goal from the CPU always turned out to be the winner. This happens now and then IRL, but not match after match (i remember a ML with Getafe where i had this for approximately 15 or 20 matches in a row...that is not realistic).

Glad to see Genk is going smoothly gerd.

I've started my 4th season with AS Ganzoraccio (my 2nd season in Serie A) reasonably well. Three league games in unbeaten (2 wins and a draw), but i've just gone down 2-1 in a Coppa Italia 1st leg to a 2nd division side. (i have an away goal though)

Fixtures are back to back, at the moment, as i'm also in the Europa League :SMUG: I'm in a group with Porto, Dinamo Bucharest and some PES League team (Teglehoc?), who i play first. I'm looking forward to all the offical EL pomp and prestige (compared to the more familiar league and cup ties).

Here's my typical first XI. It's based on a 4-3-3

------------------------Sforzini(CF)

-------Pelaez(WG)

---------------------------------------P.Herrera(SMF)

---------Parolo-----------------------C.Borges

------------------------Biondini

---Brandan---------Rossi---------Magliochetti-------Faltone

----------------------------Leali

Subs:

Agazzi(GK)
Fabiano
Oscar
Ettori
Alisic
Matri
Gutierrez or Castolo

I still have Dodo, Baumann, Libermann, Valeny, Jaric, Ruskin, and El Moubarki, who also serve their purpose. All players get games in my squad, especially in this fixture-packed season.

I also bought Pelaez and Biondini in my short lived Pro Vercelli ML.
I especially liked Biondini a lot.

The name Alisic does wring a bell, where do i know him from or should i know him from.

I love the Europa nights, Konami have installed a real authentic feel to the proceedings. It feels just like a night in Europe should. :)

Guys, when do we normally get news about Master League in PES for the coming year? This is the first year I have played PES really so just wondering when to expect the news...

Hi Stringer, good to read you again...thought you disappeared with your nick from the Wire.
This year's PES is a good one...ML is superb, but the fake teams annoy me, that's why i am editing all: kits (rubbish compared to the real kit makers), players, team style, everything..i've been busy for almost two months now...

But all in all the ML is very good. You will like it.

Take care my friend. Hope we hear more from you, i always liked you a lot.

Thanks, that means a lot coming from you. :SMUG:

I've just been busy with University and work, so I had to sacrifice some of my free time to studying and working.

I'll be back in the fold hopefully soon (got one more year of Uni left).

Take care.

Manager set to be 'un-happy' with Poulsen's attitude towards being sat on the bench

At the grand old age of 31, many players would be very happy to even still be getting regular games for a club like Liverpool, obviously not the case for defensive midfielder Christian Poulsen, who has described the managers decision to use him as a 'super-sub' as "Completely ridiculous" With the Jan 2012 market just closed, Poulsen will have to make do with another 4/5 months on the bench at Liverpool but could well be on his way out of Anfield with Ajax and Bayern Munich apparently interested in the player. Regarding this topic we caught up with the manager to get his views; "I think he is being a little bit spoilt here, he needs to learn how to play in a team, and being 31 years old he only has a few more season left in him. We need to build for the future which is why Lucas is played in midfield ahead of him, but Poulsen still regularly plays as a sub anyway, so I don't get where he is coming from. If he wants to leave he can leave, but the club intertested in selling him better realise we would want somewhere in the region of £10m for him."

Torres could be gone after saying he is 'homesick' and wishes to return to Spain

"It is true, I love Liverpool to death, but I do miss Spain very much. I am pondering whether to hand in a transfer request and going back to Spain if a club will have me." said the troubled striker who, although apparently homesick, seems to be doing fine on the pitch being the leading scorer in the Premier League and Champions League. "He will be a big miss for us, he is what this team is built around, we get the ball, we pass it to one of our wingers and then send it up to Torres, he will be very much missed if he decides to leave, and we will do everything possible to get him to stay." "We would want somewhere in the region of £50m at a minimum before letting him go, but the fee would more likely be around £75m as he is the premier striker in the world at the moment and would no doubt attract the likes of Barcelona and Real Madrid should we decided to sell him" When asked who would replace Torres at Anfield should he leave, the manager responded "At the moment we may make a move to sign Carlos Tevez as a replacement, but we would have to look into it further, we will talk with Torres in the following weeks and should he decided that he definately wants to go, then we will look into opening discussions with Tevez, Milto, basically players in the same goal-hungry category as those two."

5-star Liverpool still strong favourties for the Treble

Liverpool are still bookies favourites to do the treble, ahead of Arsenal and Man Utd who are the only two English clubs that can still obtain the treble with the Merseyside team 12 points clear in the Premier League ahead of second place Chelsea (who are out of the FA cup), into the Semi-finals against Arsenal of the FA cup and into the round of 16 in the Champions League. Liverpool are 2/1 favourites to do the treble as a win in the semi-final over Arsenal would end Arsenals chances of the treble, and Man Utd way back in 6th place in the Premier League.

Racing Genk are eliminated for the Cup, which was secretly one of their targets.
They played Standard in an exciting Cup tie.
After 55 minutes Standard got a penalty (and once again i don't think it was a penalty, but i'm obviously biased). Genk started to play all offensive and this lead to an equaliser from Vossen round the 75th minute. For the rest of the 90 minutes Genk were the dominating team but did score.
In the first prolongation Standard was the better team, but Genk had the better chances in the second one. In the end Mangala scored the winner in the 117 th minute. Genk were eliminated.

Next match was away against Red Bull Salzburg: a comfortably 1-3 win and the best performance of the season.

In the away leg against Cercle Brugge Genk led 0-2 but still lost the two points after two late Cercle Brugge points.

Racing Genk are currently second in division 2, two points behind Kaiserslautern and one point before Kortrijk. Then there is a gap with fourth placed Wolfsburg which are Genk's next opponent. An important match.

Midway through the first season, Racing Genk are second in division two. They are 3 points behind leaders Kaiserslautern but number 3 and number 4 (Kortrijk and Freiburg) are respectively 4 and 6 points behind Genk.

Nothing happened in the mid-season transfer window. Although some bigger clubs were interested in players like Vanden Borre, Vossen, Barda, Buffel and De Bruyne they all stayed in Genk. All those players got considerable better contracts and that is the reason why no new players were bought.

Genk's board wants to hold this young and promising sqaud together, promotion is a must however...

Next weeks will be very important as Genk has to play against both Freiburg and Kaiserslautern.

Started another ML with Man United and wanted to get the season unbeaten trophy etc, playing on top player. I bought Wilshere and Hulk, so far Wilshere has been great, will be some player but I swear Hulk misses the easiest chances... took him 8 games to get his first goal for me then in the next game he vanished again haha.

First six games or so went fine but had a 5 goal thriller at Blackpool ( I was expecting a walkover) and luckily won that, only to go into my 2nd CL group stage game and lose 1-0 to Shaktar! :( drew the first game 2-2 against Valencia (Pablo scored a screamer in the 90th minute) and luckily beat FC Twente in the third game, might struggle to make the knockout phase at this stage!

I'm enjoying it a lot so far, was up till 8am this morning playing it and just couldn't seem to stop.

After finishing 2 seasons with blackpool, where i finished 4th in my secong season, i started with Cardiff city, thought would be easy to get promoted but bang!! reality check..
was leading 2-0 in my first game against portsmouth, playing casually, but 2nd half taugt me a harsh lesson, lost 3-2, could be blamed to ai cheating as they scored all from keepers parrying away:RANT: but still shabby defending from my side, have to say, and after that lost 4 on the trot without managing to score!!:CONFUSE:
tinkered with tactics, formations, players etc n somehow got my defense together, managed two 0-0 draws, and eventually started converting my chances now, have climbed to 7th place now, courtesy CHOPRA', he is a good striker, but i remember the dark days when i was battling relegation. i mean last night only i agin failed to score in 2 consecutive matches, which is worrying.1st place seems impossible now, finishing 3rd also seems a big ask, but will have to somehow,
and the worst is, i have become ugly, like scoring a goal and then trying to hang on to it, wasting time etc, dont fancy scoring a second goal cause i know i cant give AI any chances.now i value every point, every chance n thats the beauty of the championship.
Jay Emanuel Thomas on loan from Arsenal has been superb.
guys plz tell some players which can help me on wings (cheap players ofcourse)

Try Dries Mertens of Utrecht.
Jonathan Legaer of Anderlecht.
Nabil Dirar from Club Brugge.

They should all be reasonably cheap. I used Mertens in my first ML of PES2011 and he is good.

Matuidi of Saint-Etienne is also very good, but he is not really a cheap player IMO.

Racing Genk played a key match for promotion against 4th placed Freiburg.
The match started infuriating: Genk dominated but could not score.
Freiburg Yano scored with the first counter...the goal was caused by the ramshackle player switching..this is the most frustrating aspect of PES 2011. It can make the difference between winning and loosing a match.

The good thing is that this happened after less than 15 minutes, so Genk had plenty of time to put things right.

In the second half joint golden booth Ogunjimi scored an "ugly" equaliser, he literally walked the ball in the goal...but even ugly goals count.

Soon after the equaliser Buffel saw a shot on goal saved by Freiburg's GK, but it fell before the feet of Kevin De Bruyne who scored the winner. After that goal Genk had a couple of chances to increase the lead but they were all missed. Like always the last 15 minutes Genk were totally outplayed by Freiburg, but somehow held on to their lead.

Leaders Kaiserslautern only managed a draw against FC Zurich, so Genk had a good weekend since they now are only two points from the lead and have extende the margin with the teams behind them.

Well Hulk has came good since my earlier post, he got his first goal after coming on as a sub and since then he's been really really good, was drawing 0-0 against chelsea until the 70th minute (it was a must win, they were unbeaten) and I brought on Hulk, he scored one and set up two and I ended up winning 3-0.

Then I was losing to Aston Villa 2-0 and brought on Hulk in the second half, he scored two and saved me from another defeat... hes been scoring steadily since and seems to be lethal coming on from a sub, glad I bought him now.

I also signed Pastore after selling a few players, gave him the number 7 shirt and he's been good so far... got offered 62mil from Chelsea for Rooney which I actually see as a realistic number in todays game anyway, turned them down ;)

I managed to qualify from the CL group stage and made it past the knockout round, lost 1-0 to sampordia at there ground but beat them 2-0 at Old Trafford, Hulk again scoring one and setting up Rooney for the second, I have Tottenham next who when I last played I beat them 5-0, I'm expecting to win lol

Blackpool also beat me, 2-1 and have definitely been a shock this season in my game, first game I won 3-2 LUCKILY then they beat me at Old Trafford 2-1, haha.

2nd in Division 1 with my Defaults, just past the January Window, got Wilshere on loan to cover for Miranda. 5 points of top place Man United, and also through to the Knock-Out phase of the CL.

Got an offer from Liverpool for Shimizu, a week after he single handedly destroyed them in the league. £2m, turned that down straight away.

Strange thing is I have no trouble dismantling the better teams (3-0s vs both Man Utd and Liverpool), but I then get humped by Blackpool and Wolves. The opposition misses far to many chances for my liking on Top Player as well, they'll carve my defence apart then spanner it from 5 yards, get let off far too easy sometimes.

I have exactly the opposite: i'm dominating the AI completely (mostly) and miss quite a few chances, but the CPU team is clinical before goal.

I reckon that might be a case of 'scripting' tbh. When you're dominating I can see the AI punishing you by being clinical themselves, but when I'm being over-run they'll miss no end of chances. Replicates real football I suppose.

Haven't really been playing ML or PES much infact for the last month or so as I have been playing a lot of Madden NFL 11 however I will be resuming my ML as Liverpool, with my first task being to get rid of Torres. Just checked out WENB's suggestions for PES12 offline ML, and if Konami put some of those in then next years ML offline will even better than this years! Some of the stuff is player+cash trades, being able to be sacked and/or get job offers from other clubs at the end of the year (Like in FIFA) and having more involvment in contract negotiations. Should be good :)

Racing Genk is cruising now.

Since the Freiburg match, everything is going smooth.
Genk had an away match against Zurich and luck was 90 minutes on their side. They did not play very well but eventually won 1-5. The goals were a festival of deflected balls who ended up in goal. The final score was exagerated.

Next was another Swiss team away: Sion. This was a really good match. Genk dominated from the start till the end and a logical 0-2 win was the result.

Then came the crucial away match against (at that moment) co-leaders Kaiserslautern. A fantastic performance by Israeli forward Elyaniv Barda was the main factor in a 1-3 win. Barda had a score of 9 points...something i've never had in PES with a player who played the full 90 minutes.

3 crucial wins in as much away games was a serious boost for Genk. Since then they won all their matches while the opponents are loosing points. Genk won matches against GBA, Luzern, Westerlo and are now leaders with a bonus of 7 point on surprise package Kortrijk. Mainz, Freiburg, Wolfsburg and imploding Kaiserslautern are 10 points behind.

Marvin Ogunjimi is top scorer with 17 goals. And this without a single transfer in the mid-season transfer window.

Well my first season with Man Utd fell apart right at the finish, I got put out of CL in the Quarters by Spurs on pens (heartbroken), then in pretty much the crunch match of the season against Chelsea who were behind me by 2 points, they beat me 2-0... then I lost 2-0 to Blackburn, Chelsea were four points clear with 2 games left, I beat Fulham 6-0 then beat Birmingham 5-0 and they drew there last game 1-1, if I had beat Blackburn I'd have won the prem. :(

I won the FA cup though, which is good I guess, and Chelsea offered me £48mil for Hulk (who I bought for £17mil at the start of the season) and after an average season I thought that was too good to turn down, also Hernandez has just got 1-1 finisher and maurading so he'll come good, he scored 2 against Liverpool in the start of the new season so already (Y)

I spent all of the money I got for Hulk on Hamsik, who was a rush buy as I wanted Gourcuff more but Lyon wouldn't sell, so hopefully he comes well... £55mil on a 24 year old I wasn't even sure about is one hell of a gamble.

Vanderbuurd is a level 100! Him and Lionel Messi from Barcelona are the only players to have reached this landmark. And he is only something like 19 as well, so he is definitely a future club captain/ club legend. Unfortunately i'm half way through season 2, still top of the prem, into the semis of the FA cup and leading 5-1 in the first leg of the CL last 16, so all going good however Torres is starting to have an awful season, and I scouted young Sergio Aguero and Zlatan Ibrahimovic and they have both increased to 97 and 95 respectively and have really caught my eye, so I may put Torres and the transfer list now and get some offers for him before excepting the best one. Sadly Dani Pacheco's progress seems to have hit a brick wall as he has reached 71, and has stayed there for quite a while now, but he is only 18 so still has time. Next game is against Birmingham whilst Utd travel to Chelsea, with the loser of that game more-or-less being out the title race.

Racing Gen,k are division Two champions.
They won 23 matches, lost two and drew 9.
Wolfsburg was the only team in the division they could not beat, and were the strongest team, but finished only fourth.
Kevin De Bruyne was top assister and player of the season.

KV Kortrijk and Kaiserslautern are the two teams that accompany Genk to the first division.
Rapid Wien, Austria Wien and Young Boys Bern face relegation.

In the mid-season Anthony Vanden Borre left Genk for Bayern Munchen.
Genk bought the following players:
Argentinian forward Araujo
Serbian SMF Nikolic
Markos Cammozato from Club Brugge
And a CB from the Central African Republic who came from Lorient. I forgot his name.

First match in division one: Rosenborg - Genk 1-3 (Vossen, Barda, Barda scored the goals).

I am playing with a local club I support, CIVICS FC. The mind boggling thing is that I am top of the log on goal difference and in my first season in the Premier League. During my first two seasons I end up fourth from bottom in the very first season and then going on to win the Championship in the second season. With this in mind I thought I was going to have a hell of a battle just to stay in Premier but found it to not be the case. I bought 3 players at the end of the first season in the Championship season- a striker, a winger and defender. Is it possible that this three guys could make that big of difference? So much so that I stand a chance of winning the Premier League in my very first season in the top flight. Most players are in their sixties.
