Master League Adventures and other ML stuff 2011!

I'm doing my editing on Xbox.
You can create Adelaide and stick them in a league of your choice. You can create a div 1 and div 2 with mixed teams.

That is what i'm doing i will have 3 mixed leagues.
I will start as Racing Genk in division 2 with team Belgian, German, Scandinavian, Swiss and Austrian teams. Division 1 (PES) will have teams from the same countries.
And then there will be a European division with all the other teams: Eastern European, Portugese, Greek and Turkish teams, with some created Russian and Portugese teams.

how have you guys experienced injuries in ML? in game, sim and practice? whats the longest period out for each?

i have only seen 1-2week injuries in game.

Sounds good! You have an xbox camera to import the pictures? And do you have football manager with the Australian League statistics? hint hint ;)

COPPA FINAL HEARTBREAK FOR GANZORACCIO

AS Ganzoraccio 2-3 Juventus

So i lost the Coppa Italia final to Juventus. Gutted, as it would have secured me a Europa League spot next season, as well as my first ML silverware of PES2011. We were never in it really. The bianconeri went 2-0 up pretty quickly and totally outplayed me. A forced own goal late in the first half gave me a glimmer of hope, but that was dashed when Juve netted their third in the second half. An 86th minute Sforzini strike gave me my second goal, but alas it came too late.
Now i have 5 games left to grab at least 8th place in the league, to get Europa League qualification.

Calcio Calabrese: i don't know if there are Australian teams in FM and frankly if there are, i haven't got the time to give you these stats...i've been editing for weeks now and i finally want to play the game. I have a rather busy professional life and two kids, so i don't have much spare time...hope you understand me.

I haven't got an Xbox camera..didn't even know there existed one...

Unlucky mate, I am in my 3rd season with SS Lazio just lost the CL final to juventus on penalties, Krasic tore me apart but the scudetto will be mine next season(hopefully).

Finally finished my ML and won the Championship/Div 2 with Leeds.

Pts 78 W 24 D 6 L 4 GF 68 GA 21 GD 47

15 points clear at the top with Hull and Leicester behind.

Paynter got player of the season as well as top scorer (19 goals).

Kallstrom got assist leader (11).

Schmeichel, Palmeiri, McCartney, Montelongo, Kallstrom and Paynter made the best eleven.

Undefeated at home all season.

Compare that to my season with edited formations.

I finished third and only just secured promotion on the last day thanks to a second half equalizer from Leicester to deny Palace the win they needed to go above me!

Only lost once at home i think to Reading 1-0 (i might be wrong but i don't remember being beaten at home by anyone apart from them).

Also beat Millwall 8-0 (there was a terrible bug with their formation :CONFUSE: )

Funny thing was i was really doing well, until January when i decided to have a fire sale!

I sold Paynter the following season, good but fucking slow (overrated on the option file) Preferred Becchio on his own battling and setting others up. Brought Jo, Trowkoski (dude at Hamburg) some left back dude for AC Avigon and El-Arabi.

Apart from getting destroyed by Man United, I'm doing well in the Preimerleague :)

Gerd - no problems mate. I understand :) Thanks for getting back to me though. Get into it and enjoy the game champ. Many good times to be had lol.
I would do all the editing myself if I can only find a way to bring in the emblems and logo's etc. Maybe I will have to make the strips without sponsors and just be happy with that :)
thanks for your help. p.s. what kind of editing are you doing? just stats and faces etc?

I edit the stats, some faces.
The kits mostly without the sponsors.
The emblems (but they are really bad, most people would not want them).

To me this is good enough, but i think most people would not like what i edited.
The stats are rather good i think, because i've been playing quite a lot of matches with the new teams and they are balanced compared to the teams that already were in the game.
I will start the ML with Racing Genk in division 2 and it will be hard because the Belgian teams are much weaker than the German ones (just like IRL).

Things aren't looking good with 2 games left in the league to claim a EL place. I'm just hoping Konami follow the Serie A rule that the runners up of the Coppa Italia, get a EL place, when the winners have qualified for the CL in the league (Juventus).

What's funny is i managed a shock 3-0 defeat of Juventus in the game right before the Coppa Italia final (against them).

cool. good stuff. i will get onto the offline Master League eventually. do you guys play on 0 game speed...i am thinking that -1 might be the way to go ;)

Prof, yesterday i discovered that in the editing section you can change some rules for leagues (go to edit name of league or something similar). I'm not saying this because you should change rules in order to qualify, but maybe you can see there what the rules are (or isn't there a section in the ML where you can see the rules...it's the section where you see all the other leaugues, their top scorers and top assisters...).

I play -1. 0 is a litle bit too fast for me.

Hmm, not sure gerd, i don't think he is.

Good news. I did qualify for the EL (as Coppa Italia runner up), as i finished the season and got a message saying i had qualified. I had a poor finish to the season. 11th is where i ended up. However, overall, not bad as we avoided going straight back down to Div2.

Glad to hear you qualified for the EL Prof.
This evening i can finallly begin my ML...with Racing Genk.
I remeber having played a ML With them in PES2 (the first game that was widely criticized).

Goodluck mate. I will have to start an offline one after the January transfer window closes!

Gerd,

I'm pretty sure that he is registered to Moscow, but I was sure he was loaned to a team in Brazil or something.

Don't believe he's in the game, but could be wrong.

FD

Thanks FD, i edited him over another player.

Yesterday i finally started my ML with Racing Genk.
I start in division two in a league with Belgian, German, Swiss, Austrian and Scandinavian teams.

First match was at home against Freiburg.
Racing Genk started well which resulted in a 1-0 win, by a single goal from Israelian striker Elyaniv Barda (who played out of position as AMF).
Genk were the better team the first hour, but suffered the last half hour. My young GK made a couple of great saves.
It became difficult for tactical reasons. I play something between 4-3-2-1 and 4-4-2 (a very assymetrical 4-4-2 that is). I always let the computer make the substitutes, usually i agree with the substitutions. What i don't like is that the CPU changes the formation. What do i have to do to avoid that (apart from the obvious, doing the subs myself)?
The CPU decided on a rather defensive formation and left the initiative to Freiburg.

Next match is once again at home against FC Zurich.

I think there is a setting in one touch settings screen where you can toggle substitutions on and off...not sure if it applies to formation or tactic changes. Can have a look I suppose.

After six matches Racing Genk are currently fifth in a competitive division 2, they are only two points behind leaders Kaiserslautern.

Genk won 3 matches against Zurich, Sion and Freiburg
They lost against Kaiserslautern.
They drew against Luzern and GBA. Those two away matches were rather infuriating, Genk took the lead and became very defensive, leaving the initiative to the other teams. In both matches the opponents scored the equaliser in injury time after a corner. The CPU is deadly on set pieces.

I also know what went wrong in those matches. You can give tactical instructions when drawing, winning or loosing. Genk's were set on "defensive possession play" if they took the lead...hence a very dominant side who left initiative to the other team when leading. I've been tinkering with that feature and all is like it should be now.

The last match i played was the best one, one of "those" (memorable) ML matches. In the first match of the domestic cup Genk faced Belgian rivals and first division teams. Anderlecht took the lead after a 3 or 4 minutes with a penalty (i'm not saying that the defender did nothing wrong, but in the replay i couldn't notice a foul...but maybe this was only the animation...and i kind of like it that refs now and then make mistakes). Genk equalised (Jelle Vossen) and took the lead with a (fortunate) own goal by Wasilewski. Striker Ogunjimi scored a third Genk goal and in first halve injury time Lukaku scored a second Anderlecht goal.
The second half was very tense, and Genk scored maybe the best goal i've ever scored in a PES game...but the goal was disallowed fot off-side (and rightly so).
Both teams had chances but didn't score and so Genk eliminated Anderlecht.

I'm alreadyt hooked by this ML. Great.

I havent even started one yet Dan, first time ever. I've started a BAL but havent touched it for a month or so. I play offline with mates or in a World Cup with Senegal or CL with Chievo. I play offline to warm-up before I go online. Most of my time is spent online though playing 15 minute friendlies with the PEEL lot, or sometimes MLO. I just dont have the time to play offline ML since I discovered PEEL. I do love the offline ML though, I hammered it last year, this new ML is amazing in my opinion.

Yeah playing against people you know gets the best out of PES really. Would only ever play against mates or in a respectable league in the older games, not done that since getting this one on the 360 mind. There's no leagues knocking about and my mates now hate it!

Anyway, back on topic, I lied about giving it a break. Couldn't resist after the Arsenal game and booted up a ML, gunna see if I can win the title with just the defaults on Top Player. Played 3 games and enjoyed it more than I thought really. As long as you play wide the game doesn't get bogged down and flows well, although the AI can be dirty bastards. Drew each of them; 0-0, 1-1 and 2-2. Didn't notice any obvious scripting so far, in fact Man City put a number of clear chances wide late on.

Shimizu is a lil beauty just off the striker. Dead tricky and slips in some proper deft through balls.

Danny - i'm in Australia but if you want some games every now and then you can add me on xbox live. Another guy and I have created a community but it's only us 2 for now lol. Timezones and lag might not weigh in our favour but give it a try if you like.

Ok I posted some of this on the MLO thread but here goes...

Can anyone tell me, if I overwrite the PES league with edited Australian teams and start with a team in that league, am I given an option somewhere where I can choose another league to be promoted to? I.e. can i make the PES league a division 2 to an existing league? Is this within the Master League itself or within edit league structure?

Also, has anyone "taken photo" for player faces or emblems. I understand you have delete background pixels or something. Gonna give it a try anyway!

I think I may already have mate. I know I added a few off here anyway then never bothered to contact them on Live. My GT is; SensiDub6. I found my connection quite decent on MLO so you never know, it's on a Uni network so the upload speed is absolutely colossal. I've had matches against people from Nigeria and Japan with minimal lag, yet I do often have problems with the Spanish for some reason.

As for your second post, I'm certain you can select the division you're promoted into. May have to switch all the Created Teams into the D2 League before hand, but that's easily done.

Record stands at 4 wins and 4 draws in my ML. Hammered Man Utd 3-0, Schwartz scores goals for fun. Had two incidents of blatant dives in the penalty area against me getting cards, which made me laugh. Youth players don't seem to be developing despite assigning training points to them for some reason though.
