Master League Adventures and other ML stuff 2011!

hello guys
i experience some odd behaviors in my master league
i started my master league with sunderlan by original players

and after the mid season , every drawn match in the league i find myself directed to penalties
and if i win i take the 3 points and i i lose i take no points despite in the results table the match result is displayed as 1-1 or 0-0

why does this happen ? every drawn match in the premiere league directly goes into penalties

AS GANZORACCIO NEWS

Tigrotti Seal Promotion
AS Ganzoraccio last night, sealed promotion to Serie A, with two games left, despite defeat. Division 2 leaders Parma, defeated fourth placed Bari, meaning they're now unable to make up the points. Lecce join Ganzoraccio and Parma as they had back to the top flight.
The division 2 title is still undecided, however, Parma look almost certain to claim the honours.

Have you fiddled with the league settings at all? (in edit mode i think). It sounds almost like the J League format, although teams there take 2 points after a win on penalties i think.

Never came across that too, as Prof says possibly a settings change.

Anyways, onto my Rodos team.

Is there any way to disable the tutorial every time i start a new ML. It's so idiotic that I have to do that every single time!

thanks for response guys
very much appreciate this
i've sovlved the issue since i'm using the p version and this was obviously a bug in the pes timer 1.2.1
and after i removed the patch every thing back to normal now
cheers

This game still is a bugfest Prof...
I have stopped my Pro Vercelli ML...it was too easy.
I'm doing loads of editing...putting all Jupiler Leaugue teams in the game with the stats of FM as a sort of bench mark.
Meanwhile i'm playing a league with both Sunderland and Valenciennes and enjoying it while still thinking this game is only the first step up...
I do think Konami are awfully sloppy. One example: i can understand the licensing issue, but boy the outfits of the English teams are attrocious.

Came across loads of good players: Bangoura, Danic, Cohade, Bisevac, Samassa (Valenciennes) and lots of fantastic Sunderland players (Onuha, but that's a bad memory for you Prof...).

How high up is ML on PES's list? Is there a chance of them ever getting rid of it? I only just found it, and would be bummed if they got rid of it!

How much work is this? I'm also losing interest with my D2 League ML because it's a tad easy.

I remember hitting this wall shortly after switching to FIFA but at least with FIFA i had full manual controls to make it more challenging. But I cant stand fifa atm, so...

Also, didn't i read somewhere about a secret higher level of difficulty? Maybe that was just WE?

I gave up on editing. I'll do minimal stuff, like team names and kits at the start. The rest i will add as time goes by, but i don't let it bother me so much on the xbox. I'd rather be playing or doing something else. Plus, it's not like this is an amazing edition of PES - too many problems/bugs.

RE my D2, it was always quite hard fought. It took me two seasons to gain promotion. Even the second season was tight, all the way, particulalrly with the Serie A clubs all wanting to go back up again.

I noticed that the game is much more difficult after the recent update/patch.
Now i clearly see a difference between arrows up and down. When playing away matches, it really is difficult, but until now there was only one "suspicious" match.
I played with Valenciennes against Lyon and they totally dominated me. Jimmy will say that this happens in real football too...but this was not normal...the Lyon players were superhuman and my players could scarcely do anything good in attack. I had one shot on goal in the entire match. In the end, i somehow managed a 0-0 draw and it was one of my most memorable matches, but not for the right reasons. Strange game (PS: try NBA 2K11...best sports game ever, by far...fantastic).

:)

Yes I will.

I got battered by Marseille 5-1 in the CL. They had 6 shots on target, scored 5. I couldnt do shit. It happens. No complaints from me, the last thing I felt was cheated. But thats me. Rough with the smooth. It was just one of those days.

I was using your name as a metaphor...
You should have seen the match (hardly an argument, i know). In the end i got some strange satisfaction out of the 0-0 draw, but this was not realistic. I have played football enough to know that this hardly ever happens (if ever) between clubs of the same division.

I read a reaction from you about the difference between away form and home form. Somebody complained about that (in ML) and your reply was asking about the coach and the training of the team. This was a logical response. But what about me? I'm not playing ML. In a league there are no coaches or training...

Please don't feel targeted because although IMO you are not critical enough, you are a very postive guy who helps other people constantly.

Cheers Gerd, I dont feel targeted bud, it's water off a ducks back. :)

I know only too well how some games can make you feel, I kind of resign myself to the fact, in those games, I'm never going to score in a month of sundays. To be honest, it's those type of games that I can relate to more than any other, as football in general can be a highly frustrating experience for the most part. To be fair, Lyon are twice the team Valenciennes are, and if they are on form, they are more than capable of handing out a good old fashioned whooping. Player for player, all over the park, the are superior, bar Bobo.

This years Form Arrows have been tweaked so they represent Home and Away Confidence. I personally think they have overdone it, although I appreciate the theory behind it. Great idea, less then perfect execution. In my opinion.

Daymos Option File v2 with the Championship has been released for Xbox 360, and Coventry are on it, so when I get round to applying it I'll be starting a ML :).

I always used to start ML with Castolo et al years ago, but I think Coventry are a weak enough side to make it a challenge on Top Player :P.

If the players are there Rob, you have to go with Coventry. I use Boro every year for my sins, and there is nothing more satisfying. I still havent started my ML yet, but I will very shortly. After starting my BAL last night, and getting an offer from my beloved Chievo, I'm really looking forward to getting stuck into that. It's great because I know every Chievo player like the back of my hand, and I already feel at home. For me BAL is about as close to real football as you can get. You control yourself, and rely on your team-mates and managers judgement for everything else. Perfect.

Couldn't agree more.
the form arrows have been completely over cooked.
If you beat the top of the league side 2-0 on their own ground then your next match is also away, your players, especially the goal scorers should have much better form, and confidence. Not all be on downward blue/purple arrows.

Id Love for 2012 to see a form/condition system that is alot more intelligent, whereby the game keeps track of results against other teams and whether it was home or away, who scored, posession levels etc, then the arrows are based on a scoring system. IE: as PES utd you beat Man utd at home, 3-0 with Gutierrez as example getting 2. next fixture away to Man utd, this is taken into context and the game knows that you have an advantage over utd already and that Gutierrez likes scoring against them, therefore the form arrows are reflected accordingly.

something along those lines would make much more realistic sense and open up the game more.
Imagine being on a great run, 8 wins out of 9 matches then you come up against a bogey team that you always struggle against, your players aren't as confident, therefore the form arrows take a notch down, except maybe your in form striker who feels he has a point to prove and wants to win fans over by scoring against the bogey team.

Completely agree, this could be great.
A former player of a club should also have a red arrow up, this could gradually diminish...after 3 or 4 seasons the effect would be zero...
An out of form team could have a moral boost by a cup win...etc, etc...

Great idea Gerd!
Probably more for the PES 2012 feedback threads but still another example of how much potential PES can have going forward if only they'd iron out all the little niggles.

On a curent ML note.... any of you guys know if i change my Div 2 name and logo in the edit section, will that take effect in my current ML, or ould I have to start a new one?

Cheers

Any change of your team name and emblem will show up in your existing Master league. After failing to get promotion in my first season ,I changed both names and emblems of the bottom 3 clubs in my division to simulate promotion and relegation.

Thanks fella, just wanted to import a branded Div2 Logo and add a name to make it a bit more interesting.
Am now playing in the Budweiser Div 2 Championship. :)

Managed to get promotion in early April.

4 points ahead at the top, still quite a few games to go. Meet Galatasarty in the final of the cup.

I'm doing surprisingly well in my first season in Serie A. I'm currently second! I guess after two seasons, my players have developed and the flow/play is getting better. However, i'm sure it can all go wrong at some point. A solid start though, after about 6-7 matches.

I bagged a rarity (for me) recently - a lovely powered header by my CB (Baumann), from 6 yards, meeting a lovely cross from the left, in open play.
So if i keep it up, past these early days, i may get some European football next season. Here's hoping. I do like the official CL/Europa League stuff.
