He has only been offered the contract. But I get a feeling that Rooney will sign it.
 
If I'm not wrong,is Rossi the first Italian at Man United? Just picture that name, R O S S I, at the back of United's new home kit,classic,hes a looker too,should make them young girls forget about that bloke who went to Madrid.

Nah we had a fella called Carlo Setori (sp) back in the 60's, little ginger guy, my uncle told me he was shite lol.

Defo like the sound of a United shirt with Rossi on the back :)

So far we've got 4 players under 18 that are nearly ready for the big time.

Spector, Cooper, Rossi and Pique. Two strikers and two defenders.

along with all the other young players we've got I'd say we're in good shape, lol doesnt look like a club in decline to me, all we need is Rooney to finsih it off :D

My sister thinks Ronaldo is really good lookin'. So do all her friends. Ronaldo really has taken over Beckhams place.
 
van what are your contacts telling u about the rooney situation ?

imo i think its quite unrealistic tbh, but at least moriniho as said hes not in his plans at chelsea, so there is probably no better time to buy rooney, he might be expensive but theyve spent big before so they can spend big again ;)
 
You can find nearly all of what he says on manutd.com so its not all BS.

He's coming to United, its just unfourtunate he was injured or methinks it'd be done and dusted.

Rooney had let it be known that he had no intention of going to Chelsea so Mourhinos "comments" are pretty worthless.

Everton cannot hold onto him, he's only got 1.5 years left on his contract (which has no buy out clause) if Everton price us out of a move then he will wait, his heart is set on joining United, all the people close to him want him to join and we want him, personally I think it'll be done for Jan or at least a pre-agreement will be signed.
 
One of the reasons why he hasn't signed it cuz he's injured and probably won't pass the physio.

yeah and three of those four guys are american, looks like fergie is really hitting up on the talent here in the states, do you think this has anything to do with Malcom Glazer? Hopefully its a trend.....
potentially there could be 4 american born players in the starting 11, Spector, Cooper, Rossi , and howard.....

yeah I had noticed the "yank" factor ;)

Nah its nothing to do with Glazer our scouting system is huge, Fergie knows that there is talent in the U.S and isnt afraid to give it them a try and to be fair Cooper looks the part, as does Spector (watch out for this kid) ive heard good things about Rossi (and apparently Wenger was sniffing round him) and Howard has already shown his potential.

Apart from Vann's 60's player you have forgotten a 'keeper, well he said he was a 'keeper, but noone believed him!!!
 
Surely man u can'y buy another striker. I mean you've already bought saha and alan smith. If you add rooney you will have 4 top quality strikers, a decent one in ole gunner and a pathetic one in forlan. You'll probably be off loading forlan and ole gunner but still 4 top strikers.

Aswell usually its just van nistlerooy upfront. Next year its probably going to be two strikers but which ones if you get rooney.

yeah i watched spector at the u-18 world cup, and the olympic qualifying, he is a man among boys, he could be the first true sweeper the americans have ever had, great for United and great for us Yanks!! ;)

of course we can, and will, Ole is seen more of an attacking right midfielder/winger and FYI he's going nowhere!!

Forlans defo for the off, just hope. he has a decent tourney to speed up the process.

Suppose that could work but i doubt ole is going be to pleased at sitting on the bench or not at all. Ronaldo is gonna be there all next season and fletcher is up and coming so might replace him on one or two games. So where does that leave ole. He'll be lucky to get 3 games next season.
 
vann, dont you think if we cant sign rooney, then cooper might get to sit on the bench and come in every once in a while....

Well with Ronnie going to the Olympics he's gonna miss a few games, personally as much as I like Ronnie I'm looking forward to seeing Ole back and fully fit at that, he's cracking in that position, more effective than Ronnie IMO.

C, I think he's gonna give Cooper another year in the reserves and maybe a few appearences on the bench, he'll get his chance though.
 
Cooper reminds me of a younger and fitter Viduka. A big guy who can do great things with the ball on the ground.
 
I hope we don't pay too much for Rooney if we get him, anything over 30million is too much. I've heard Everton value him at 50mil!
