There isnt a link but trust me Rooney is OT bound, might not be till Jan but he's defo coming.
lumlum said:I personally don't that Rooney is really neccesary. But by January we'll definitely be able to tell if we need him or not.
Gazz22 said:He sounds like just the type of defender we need. A hard man whos not afraid to put a foot in and jump for a 50-50 aerial challenge (in the mould of Campbell, Terry, Ayala and Samuel).
Our defence now has a very good blend. We've got Neville; A highly experienced defender who is consistant at defending and attacking. Rio; Very fast, decent in the air, fantastic tackler of the ball and can play the ball on the ground well. Heinze; For reasons mentioned above. Silvestre; Very fast, good at going forward and defending and great recovery stamina. We've also got O'Shea and Brown as back up.
Not bad for the new season.

So,Smith is ace and Ruud is just good? I dont think a player who is just "good" would attract the attentions of Real Madrid. Get rid of Saha? what, are u on crack or sumthing? He is the only hard-working and robust forward we have currently and Smith does add another player to that category.I'd keep all of them and ditch only Forlan.

Spot on Phrase, Smith is decent but Ruud and Saha are top notch, as for getting rid of Ole, never!!! He could sit on the bench till he reached 55 as far as im concerned, the guys a legend and I never want him to leave.
RuneEdge said:When Ole is on fire, he's brilliant. But he can't do that anymore. He needs more first team football if he wants to reach that level again. But with Ruud, Saha and Smith, he isn't gonna get much chance. Which is why it's best for him to leave.
