Saw this on the BBC site so thought i'd post it. There has been a lot of Gooners a little bit upset after our treble dream died so I thought I would try and cheer everyone up. These stats rock:
Require a maximum nine more points (three wins, or two wins and three draws) from their six remaining games to be assured of a 13th English League Championship title.
Can afford to drop half of their 18 remaining available points and still lift the silverware.
With six to go, already amassed 78 points - the tally accumulated in total last season and in three of the eight campaigns since there's been a 20-club Premier League.
Won 23 and drawn nine in the Premiership this season.
Won 25 and drawn nine in the Premiership since going down 2-3 at home to Leeds on 4 May.
Lost just twice in 53 Premiership matches, winning 35 of them.
Dropped only 18 points so far. The least a title winning side has dropped in a 20-club Premiership is 23, the most 39.
The only remaining unbeaten club in the English League.
The Premiership's most winning team (23 matches - 13 of them at home), with the strongest attack (62 goals in 32 games), and the meanest defence (22 goals conceded).
Already 'doubled' Middlesbrough, Aston Villa, Manchester City, Wolves, Southampton, Chelsea, Blackburn and Liverpool.
Undefeated in 17 home League games (16 this season).
Won 14 and drawn three (13 wins, three draws this season) at Highbury since losing to Leeds almost a year ago.
Failed to score in only three Premiership games this term - fewer than any other club.
Failed to find the net in a League game at Highbury only once - the goalless draw with Fulham on 30 November.
Scored in 104 of the last 109 Premiership matches.
Achieved the longest winning run by any club in the top division this season (nine matches).
Won nine of 32 League games this season by a 2-1 margin.
