I'm nearly sure Vicente has been playing as the first choice left winger in most of Spain's latest matches. I'll try and find the squads for Spain's previous games.

Vicente also played a big part in Valencia's title win.

Firstly,I would like to apologies if my signature created lots of argument but its a fact in its own right.Keep the old "yeah we are unbeaten champions" crap out of our thread,as I said before and I'd say it again, old freakin news, you goons go loathe in your own thread while we lick our wounds.(Rhymes innit?)

Anyways Jamie Mack, you said "Vicente is nothing special he's good but thats all id say!" Vicente?,nothing special?? I guess you have been missing a lot of spanish football mate, first XI for champions Valencia, regular goal scorer(15 goals this season)for a winger and at 23yrs old,one of spain's most hottest prospects.I think the Vicente you are talking about is not from Valencia and THIS Vicente wont even look at a team thats been dubbed,"Ex Pool Players Retirement Centre".

You have to remember that a Man Utd fan's definition of history is:

"Any period of time which occured before Manchester United were a dominant force in English football"

Hence you'll see things such as:

"8 times out of 12.STILL fantastic isn't it?"

Of course if Utd didn't win the Premiership for the next 5 years, they'd still be talking about 1999, or how many goals they scored in 2000 etc etc. History seems to be a very relative term!

I personally think that if Arsenal avoid defeat on Sunday then they will be the best English League team of all time. Better than any Utd side, or any Liverpool side, or any team ever. No one has ever gone the whole season unbeaten before, so if they manage it, that'll be enough evidence for me.

wow you must dislocate ya shoulder with all that reacing

The sad thing about people like you is that you pick and choose and yet down on people for doing the same thing.

Aslong as we still have players in our team from our most succesful period, its still relative. 5 years ago aint that long, I'm sure Blackburn fans are still proud of their Prem Title, I'm sue Arsenal are proud of their only Prem title in the 90's so why shouldnt we be proud of something no team has EVER done??

And I'm very proud of our History, 1st English Team to win The European Cup, Won the most FA Cups and 7 league titles, a Cup winners Cup and tons of charity shields. Not to mention The Busby Babes...

If I did go on about it I'd be seen as being stuck in the past...

put your handbag away phrase go ahead you can have him if you feel vicente is good enough for united then so be it! but if im a city fan and i dont think hes is there must be something in it! so get back on your high horse and just have a think before spouting off again i just made apoint that i dint think he was good enough for u? unless you really have given up on the leagure for the next few years! where do you watch all these valencia matches anyway sky usually show madrid or barca?

Fergie's £17m Chase For 'Unhappy' Lampard
Manchester United are set to launch an audacious £17million bid to prise Frank Lampard away from Chelsea this summer. United boss Sir Alex Ferguson has made Lampard his top summer target and is convinced he can bring the England midfielder to Old Trafford. And United are hoping they can take advantage of Lampard's stalled contract talks with Chelsea to land the 25-year-old midfielder on an £80,000-a-week deal. Lampard, who currently earns around £40,000-a-week, wants parity with Chelsea's top earners but negotiations over an improved deal have broken down four times.

To be completely honest with you, I don't have a problem with anything that anyone says, I'm just having a bit of a laugh and you Man Utd fans seem to bite more than anyone else

Oh and just as a side note, I've never gone on about Liverpool's past on these forums, and have freely admitted the current gulf between Liverpool and Utd/ Arsenal/ Chelsea. So please don't go on about "People like you".

People should be proud of their clubs history, and it's quite right that when things aren't going so well for your side that you look back at better times. The only reason that I mentioned anything is that you posted about how the current Arsenal side didn't compare to the Man Utd side of 1999- 2000 (??) that set the points scoring and goal scoring records, and what I assume you consider to be the 'best' Utd side?

Now, if a Liverpool fan would have then said "But what about our team that won 3 European cups in 5 years" they'd have been put down for 'banging on about the past' which is true, but that's exactly what you were doing, comparing one great side to a great side from the past. Now admittedly your side is from the recent past, but it's still the past!

The only thing that we can truely say is that Arsenal are the best team in the country at the moment by a mile. You can't compare them to the Utd side of 5 years ago any more than you can compare them to the Liverpool side of 16 years ago.

not suprisingly you completley missed the point

Arsenal have players still playing from 99 so how can it be in the past.

But in your eyes as soon as a season finishes its in the past, thats just stu-pid, obviously because this isnt relative to you you cant be expected to understand.

But as I said in my earlier post trying to say that me talking about players from five years ago is the same as talking about the 70/80's is silly, I can see what your trying to do but you it aint working cos the holes in your "argument" (for want of a better word) are big enough to fit my arse thru.

But keep up the good work lad, thanks for your input, see yourself out, dont let the door hit ya where the Lord split ya...

Smith makes a pitch...

Alan Smith has admitted that he would consider moving to United.

Speculation that the 'lifelong Leeds fan' would refuse to move to Old Trafford appears misplaced.

Smith told Radio Five Live: "At this stage you can't rule out anything. People always say that Leeds United and Man United are big rivals but next year we are not even going to be in the same division so it's not even a rivalry. I'm not saying I want to walk out of here and go to Man United, but they're a massive club. If you said the same thing to me about Valencia or Juventus, I'd tell you the same answer.

"At this stage of my career, if I want to win trophies and I want to do well, then I've got to move on. If I were 32 I'd stay here, it's as simple as that. But I'm not, I'm 23, I've got a lot of football in me and I'm an ambitious person.''

heres another one...

11 May 2004

Deportivo La Coruna defender Jorge Andrade has shown his loyalty to his current club by making a desperate come and get me plea to United.

"I have come from a small club in Portugal to Depor and I am always interested in furthering my career if the opportunity arises,'' he said.

"My agent (Jorge Mendez) is the same as (Cristiano) Ronaldo's and he has told me a lot of good things about Manchester United. But I have a contract here with Depor at the moment so it will be a case of Manchester agreeing a deal with them. I have enjoyed playing for Depor and improving the team.''

lol we can see thru it...

from a fanzine..

Arsene Wenger thinks Arsenal are just one game away from 'Immortality' - something they've achieved by going through the whole season unbeaten.

Would be true apart from the fact they've lost six games. Six games that has seen them fail to win the Champions league, FA Cup and Carling Cup. In fact, for a team so brilliant they won't even have the record number of points for a Premiership season. They've talked up their season so as to not face the truth - they're a pale shadow of our '99 side.

now i thought they'd lost 5 games this season...

Inter, Boro (2), United and Chelsea unless they are counting the charity shield aswell...

if they are then thats abit unfair cos I dont really count that although it was good to beat them...

The daily mirror are full of shit, take the fake army pics.

Also who would you choose:

(1) Trendy west London and 2nd best team in premiership
(2) The 3rd best team in England in the dreary north.

HMMMMMMMM, it's tricky :D

Completely missing the point (again)...unbeaten in the league mate. Its never been done in the modern era or at all since 1889.

If United did it then we would be hearing about it for years...just like the treble.

lol what do you expect when the chief editor is a self confessed arsenal nut.

But it makes sense though, Ranners is the one who bought him and played him more than any other player, if he does get the push and another coach comes in it could unsettle him, hence him stalling on contract talks, also young Frank was most vocal when talking about all the new players in last summer.

I for one would'nt mind him coming to help lessen the blow of Keano's fading out of the team.

PLEASE DONT TAKE OUR SOLSKAER AWAY!!!

Reports in the press are that the Cup Final will be Ole's last game for United and he'll move across the border and play for Celtic.

It'll be a sad day when Ole leaves, whether he finished his career at United or moved to another club.

The guy is a legend, simple as that, one of the deadliest finishers I've EVER seen. He's a model pro, there hasnt been a murmour from the guy in all his time at the club, even when he was a regular sub.

So hopefully he'll still be wearing his number for us next season but tbh if I had my way he'd be at United till he was old and grey so....

Aslong as he doesnt go to another english team its not too bad and he'll score a bagful for celtic.

Heres to Ole !!!!

As much as Leeds fans particularly, dont want to see Alan Smith going to United,I think it would be a smart move to improve his international credentials. As we have seen the reports goin on about how Ole Solskjaer is gonna quit OT and with the impending release of Diego Forlan...that leaves United with only 2 real forwards in RVN and Saha...So,Alan Sminth would be gladly welcomed by us...follow Cantona,Smithy.
