Good win for us, our Kenny Cooper looks the bizz, reminds me of Joe Jordan.

To be fair city was the better team in the 2nd half but never looked like scoring.

Tiatto looked shite, but he's off anyway so its no thing I s'pose...

Everyone keeps saying its to promote the cup but nobody from the club has ACTUALLY come out and said that that is the kit for the tournament, and it hasnt been ruled out as the kit for the new season. Dont dismiss it until the official kit is annouced.

vann quite impressed with your boys last night that the best ive seen them against us this season and yes v.impressed with cooper hes got to be given run out in the first team next season, i though the first goal had a touch of ofside about it! but it was a good laugh as always what do you think of BW Phillips?

As for you boro i dont deny im a millionare doesnt mean iam? ;)

I'd bet large sums of money that isn't the new Man Utd shirt! It's clearly made of cotton for a start (look at the creasing), whereas footy shirts are made of polyester for weight reasons. I mean if they wore those shirts and it started to rain, they'd weigh a fecking ton!

These are obviously just promotional polos that you'll probably be able to buy in the club shop, or maybe even just for the players to wear on promotional days. Would also explain why they've got two sponsers logos.

I would say SWP little brother but theres nowt little about him, he's a handful, do you see him breaking thru.

I wanna see Cooper alot more next year, he's a big lad and has a good touch so he could handle some 1st team action.

What did you think of Specter, everyone at the club is raving about him, not sure if he's a natural defender or more of a midfielder but the kid has quality, his little Zidane turn was cheeky.

It wasnt a bad turnout by the looks of it, I only watched it on TV but me and our kid really enjoyed it.
 
swp rates his brother says he is faster than him stronger than him hes a better finisher and a better dribbler! we will see. cant see specter playing defense as you said! his touch and awareness would be wasted, defensive midfielder in the making! whats happened to mads timm i was told he was something special ive seen him play a few times and he looked quite good but he seems to of disapeared this season?

Timms is over in Belgium playing for our feeder club, Royal Antwerp he is a cracking player but was gettign a wee big for his boots and fancied himself as a superstar, not sure how he's done over there, it did Sheasy the world of good, lets hope it does the trick.

BWP looked ahead of the rest of the team, he had a few good touches and was the biggest threat on City's team, he scored a good goal although I think Caroll should have got it....

Apart from Shauny's "BIG" little bro who do you fancy to make the grade from city??
 
we have a good bunch of irish lads in steven Elliot, paddy mcarthy, willo flood ect who all got great reviews at the world youth championship elliot finished top goalscorer a beileve, i like the look of lee croft although he seems to have been around for ages hes got records for england caps at youth level full of tricks but im stiil not sure runs down blind allys alot like richardson for you! our under 17s went unbeaton last season so to do that the futre must be looking up!

i dont think young kasper is going to make the grade though!

yeah I thought I'd seen croft before, he's played at nearly every level for England youth but like you say he's been around for a while now.

Keegan aint the best at bringing youth thru but compared to some of the 1st team I dont see why he didnt give any of them a shot this year, he'd defo get more heart out of them than the likes macca.
 
think thats one of keegan's problems though,
he'd rather sign relatively big name players than bring though. he needs to start looking a players and seeing what they can give in the future not what they once did in the past.

to be fair Keegan aint the only one, Wenger as not brought much thru in his 7 years at Highbury but as he's successful no-one questions him, GH at LFC aswell.

Since the FA (in all their wisdom) changed the rules in signing young players alot of clubs cant attract top talent, plus it probley costs more to develop a promising player than it is to buy some half decent european player.

true, but wenger go's for the younger players that haven't made their name yet, they might not be all english but kids none the same.
where as keegan seams to like the older player

oh defo, he' s made players into superstars but there are alot of young english players that he's not really had any confidence in,, Upson is the name that springs to mind.

But you cant fault his record, Henry, Viera, Pires Ljunberg even Bergkamp to a certain extent have all become household names thanks to Wenger.

yeah upson was a bad one to let go, he's done really well at the brummies.

nah Henry was seen as failure at Juve, Viera didnt do well in Italy think he played a couple of games at best, same with Bergkamp and tbh I dont know much about Pires pre Arsenal.

So yeah they we're all good players but you would have never thought they'd turn out like this, especially Henry, even the gooners didnt think he was all that when he first arrived...

now he's like :shock:

This is why I rate Wenger as a similar sort of manager to Fergie, dont get me wrong polar opposites in many ways but they seem to have a habit of making diamonds out the rough, like you say, Toure, I really thought'd he'd be a laughing stock but this season he's been a rock and I think Clichy is a better defender than Cole.

HOLY SHIT boys, your talking about my two fellow americans right? cooper and spector, Im so glad they are doing well, I dont get to hear much about them in the states, please tell me more about how they played last night.....
 
spector is supposed to be a sweeper, center back type player, at least that is where he played for the us U-17 in the U-17 world cup...

yeah that sounds about right, I was impressed with him last night, he's good on the ball and does a solid job at defending, he did a lovely little Zidane turn, me and my bro looked at each like :shock:

Like I said everyone at the club is impressed with this kid, specially for his age, I'll be keeping an eye out in the future.

As for Cooper well he's a goal machine, took both his goals well, his first was down a peach of a ball by young Richardson, his second was more oF an individual goal, he put it on his left and beat the keeper, he was on for his hatrick but he tired near the end and Choccy took him off to bring on young Blake and add a bit of energy.

Again, he's highly rated by everyone at the club, wanna see more of him next season.

Well when he first arrived there was some UNJUST speculation, but you know what its like any sort of paedo rumours stick.

Plus he looks like a character called The Kiddy Catcher out of an old disney film.....
