yeah the last three years havent been our greatest, but in the same breath you've only won 2 in five and thats not great.

See you can twist those numbers how ever you like but when it comes to winning titles we've set the standard for The Prem.

no you once set the standard for the prem, we've moved the standard higher , thanks for the help turn the lights off on your way out cheers

lol you goons, hold ya horses, I heard all this a couple of seasons ago.

Being that you's are known for having no bottle I for one aint convinced about this "shift of power" we've heard it all before and its NEVER been backed up.

As far as standards, well we still hold plenty record, I havent seen you's score more goals or get more points..

you aint reached shit, just got ya name on the trophy a couple more times than Blackburn.

Ok then

2 out of 3 - Fantastic isn't it?

lol the fact you only choose to look at the last three years says it all...

cos tbh 3 out of 12 aint that great :)

The reality is though mate its 4 out of 7 for you and 3 out of 7 for us, which we can equalise next season (hopefully ;))

Anyway enough of all these goons, they are worthy Champs and to be fair the football they play is reason enough to be crowned Champions.

But its on to next year for us now, we know we've played bad so at least we can improve, one of the players I think will benefit from this season is young Fletch, Fergie rates this kid and he could be a star....

Fletcher

"I certainly didn't expect to play so many games at the start of the season. It may have been a disappointing season for the club but it has been one massive learning curve for me. It should stand me in good stead for the rest of my career. I have just tried to perform to a level where the manager feels he can trust me and not be scared to play me in the big games.

"I don't mind playing on the right but I have been in the centre all my life, so that is probably my best position. But wherever the manager wants to play me, I will try to do a job. I just want to build on what I have achieved this season and hopefully become an even more important player in the future."

Although he hasnt caught the eye and has had some stick the kid has done okay IMHO.

what angle are you looking at it from ?

man utd 8/12
arsenal 3/12

where do u get the 7's from ?

yeah and why seven, the prem league was created 12 years ago.

We've won 8

Arsenal 3

Blackburn 1

Thats 12

lol at the goons trying to pick and choose.

go on then spell it out for me :cyclops:

I was doing something that every Utd fan does from time to time, disregarding history before a certain time.

We won our 1st Premiership in 1998, 7 seasons ago. Therefore our stats look better if you start from then. Its called the "1993 syndrome" and affects all fans of ManUre at some stage.

yeah but ours coencides with the start of a New and Improved English League, New Trophy etc.

or have you not noticed that all aspects of the media now refer to eveything from the start of The Prem

What utter bs! The prem is referred to more often because its the current trophy doofus! How convenient that you choose to forget your titles before 1993.

Is that in anyway because in 1992, we had won 10 whilst you had only won 7?

lol you dont get it do you.

its all about perspective cos you could say you wanna focus on pre prem cos your record since it started aint all that...

just give it up goon.

You have to remember that a Man Utd fan's definition of history is:

"Any period of time which occured before Manchester United were a dominant force in English football"

Hence you'll see things such as:

"8 times out of 12.STILL fantastic isn't it?"

Of course if Utd didn't win the Premiership for the next 5 years, they'd still be talking about 1999, or how many goals they scored in 2000 etc etc. History seems to be a very relative term!

I personally think that if Arsenal avoid defeat on Sunday then they will be the best English League team of all time. Better than any Utd side, or any Liverpool side, or any team ever. No one has ever gone the whole season unbeaten before, so if they manage it, that'll be enough evidence for me.

can't really argue with that can you .
the UNBEATEN champions , got a nice ring to it ain't it ;)

Arsenal go unbeaten and they have done something no other team have done or probably will do in the next 20 years.
its a bigger achievment than winning any cup imo
manyoo fans can go on saying whatever they want about Arsenal saying they 'arent all that' but when it comes down to it, they simply are

i accept arsenal have been terrific this season no question and their feat of going through the whole season is an awesome achievement but what is pissing me off is the way in which alot of people are calling this side the greatest ever. You are a very, very good side but tbh you are not a truly great one.

Full credit to Arsenal but going unbeaten all season and winning the same trophy united have won so many times. The real test is winning the European Cup. Until then they are a very good or even excellent team but not 'great'!

sorry mate you cant say that the holland team of the 70s total football and all that! they never won anything but yet were stiil a "great" side!

Don't mean to sound picky but IIRC Preston NE went unbeaten all season in the 19th Century ;)

I've been watching Valencia's Vicente and he looks a very good player. Would be perfect for the Premiership. We've been linked with him in the past. I think he would be a very useful addition to our squad. He would cost about 16-18 million though, but I say he'd be worth it.
