Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.
Well done, you completely missed my point.
The attitude that "he's only human, so let him do what he wants and still chant his name if he scores" is pathetic.
I didn't say he was different from other humans you dolt, i think anyone who does what he has done is a piece of shit and should be abhorred rather than praised. Sports people shouldn't be role-models, but as they have millions of young fans they should act responsibly whilst in the public eye, and there's no defence at all for what he's done.
It's the same in all forms of celebrity, if a pop singer does the same then they should also be held responsible for their actions, rather than having it swept under the carpet with the age old excuse "he's only human".
so let him cheat and sleep with prostitutes, why care so much about his personal life? what counts is his performance on the field and if he plays well after this new contract then it's alright. he is not the first one to request high salary or to cheat on his wife with prostitutes, there are other people who did this before and will do in future, what makes a football player different from other humans? you people simply want to hate on someone as soon as there's a reason. and, if you made rooney to your personal idol and now you are hating him cuz you are disapponted, well then it's your own fault, don't be so naive, don't look for rolemodels.
