Well mate i'll be honest I love banter and piss taking but it doesnt always come across the right way in this format, and I think people just think im a twat.

Scousers and city fans i'll ripp alllllllll day cos I do know quite alot about both clubs.

But speaking to some of you I realised how much I base my opinions on other supporters/clubs on everything but the actual supporters/clubs. And tbh most of you know fuck all about United aswell.

So i'll admitt that my general knowledge on footy has improved 10 fold since coming on here, so I hope I can give something back.

I actually spend 98% of my time on these forums in this section, I think I should be a mod in this MOFO!!!

Dont know much tbh apart from the deal wil be done in a few days and it'll be for about £2mill.

Not that I have to explain myself to ANYONE on this site, I will. I lived in Salford until I was 11, my parents got divorced, I left with my mother, as my father was an asshole. I was going to Old Trafford with my uncle when I was a kiddie, as he is a hardcore Manc. My mother moved to Swansea, so I have been here since I was 11, although I do stay with my uncle once a month. So my point being I can, and will support Manchester United forever, whether I live in Swansea, Manchester or Barbados.

You living at Dagenham, then? Familiar with the bowling/pool place? With a McDonalds, Pizza Hut etc by it? I used to go there with my dad (he lives in Aveley, Essex) its West Ham capital down there - strange you are an Arsenal supporter!? You gotta be in North London to support them. Its ABU's in general mate, never mind that we've always had great support (even in div2) or that the vast majority of supporters live within the boundries of the city, the only things they can throw at us are usually non-football related, that says more about them than us mate so dont sweat it.

Wow chill those boots Ninja fella. My turn to explain. Technically I really shouldn't be a gooner but I am second generation. My Dad was the youngest of 3 brothers the eldest of whom was forced to go to West Ham as a youngster. He decided when 18 to get his dad back by supporting Arsenal ( Ithink this coincides with the 71 double making him a glory hunter). His brothers ie my dad followed with the Arsenal thing and have been ever since. Few, glad thats cleared up, had to explain this to a new bloke in wok the other day and he was all for rebelling against the hmmers and he's an addick.

As for the the Goresbrook leisure complex you refer to, I have been there but you may have noticed the pub (Spoofers) has no windows mainly cause they kept replacing them when people got put through them. That is the main reason I stay away from there.

Well the Dong deal is far from done:

'United officials are sceptical over the claims of Lin Lefeng, general manager at Dong's club side Dalian Shide, that a deal in the region of £3.5million will be completed within the next couple days, as there is a mass of paperwork still to sort out. The major problem for Old Trafford chief executive David Gill is that the 18-year-old is not eligible for a work permit because he does not fulfil the criteria of appearing in 75% of his country's international matches over the past two seasons. It means Dong is almost certain to be loaned out to one of United's worldwide network of 'feeder' clubs, possibly Belgian league side Royal Antwerp.'

Lou did admit surprise at the move, though, saying: "I'm a little bit surprised that he's coming because it's one department where we've got plenty of cover, in that midfield area.

Of course Celtic fans are annoyed, when a player says "I want to stay" then does the dirty by leaving the club, it leaves a sour taste in the mouth of fans.

And the kid is hardly making it better for himself when he says he's proud to have played for Celtic for 6 years, he's made 16-odd appearances in half a season, he has a real cheek to say that. He doesn't know the meaning of the word fan, that's already evident when he says he supported two clubs.

I`m sorry, but I watched C5 last night, with the highlights of the 2003, and I felt sick when L`pool played Celtic - the "You`ll never walk alone" anthem before the game, I just can`t stand Scottish football, I don`t care about any United-Celtic connections. As for Celtic doing well in the SPL - YOUR OPPOSITION IS SHITE!!!!! Even Rangers look like a Division 1 team over here. I`m sorry to put this in the United thread, but I`m just pointing something out. I`m not having a dig at you, ClassicD because you have to stick by your team, whatever division they are in, wherever they play.
But as Vann pointed out, there will always be a bigger club waiting to snap up your players, whether you`re a Oldham supporter, Celtic supporter or United - there is always a bigger club with bright prospects waiting to get a bit of your better, gifted players.

On the United/Irish/Celtic connection, anyone who actually supports more than one team is a glory-hunter, they are not a true fan. Fair enough if one is your 'second team' in that someone you like best from a country, etc (for example I like Newcastle, and I've always liked Barcelona), but you should only support one team. Any 'fan' who doesn't is a fan I don't want associated with the club.

Maybe you're more used to glory hunters, I dunno .

I`m sorry, I disagree. The Premiership is very competitive - c`mon when Celtic play week-in, week-out you know 3 points are in the bag, BEFORE the game. Doesn`t this bore you? At least with the Premiership there are FAR more upsets - like when the Saints beat us this season, when Bolton put on a show against Arsenal - thats the beauty of our league. When does the opposition ever beat you? They don`t (in the league)

Oh no, i dont buy this connection thing with celtic either but I do understand why people in Ireland follow more than one club, and when someone is prepared to travel along way to watch, Utd, Celtic ot lfc play then its unfair to put them in the same brackett as someone like zico. Especially if they dont have top class (or at least spl) footy in their country.


But anyway thats enough of celtic talk we've signed the lad, everyone but the club he's leaving are happy (which is a good sign IMO)
