but the way you lot are going on!

Hello...?,no one invited you to see "the way WE go on" in OUR thread, its OUR team and its OUR victory and WE do what WE like...so buzz off...whatcu got to say about that apart from being nosy?

Great performance by United and a relief that we did end up with a trophy in an otherwise dissapointing season.

Ronaldo was outstanding. Now we need to shore up the defense in the offseason and take back what is ours from Arsenal.

i still think that millwall just could not match united. the game was totally onesided... poor millwall, chose the wrong day to watch the ronaldo show!

Its always in my mind that IF Sunderland were to go thru instead of Millwall,it would be a smashing game,Mick...too bad they arent cos Cahill knocked them out with that goal, and all that smack talking before the cup from his mouth didnt come any good did it?...he made no impact at all.

one thing how was the millenium stadium?

Way to go Timmy Howard, we all are proud of him back home!! I thought it was a class act to put carroll in, cause he did help them reach the final....
Ronaldo is just getting better and better, i think his heading stat needs to be improved in we8, :) :)

Some info on Heinze (and a picture):

http://www.psg.fr/fr/club/current_team_toplevel/0,,4110,00.html

Its in French though.

I used babelfish to translate, and changed a few...obvious mistakes

It says:

Of German origin by his/her father, from Italian mother and having a passport transalpin, Gabriel Omar Heinze was born in Argentina it there A 23 years. After beginnings in its country in Newell' S Old Servant boys, club where Mauricio Pochettino evolved/moved, he joined Real Club of Valladolid (Spain) at the summer 1997. Lent at the time of the season 1998-1999 to Sporting Lisbon (Portugal), it returns the following year and is essential like holder in the sixth defense of Liga. Being able to play either left back/left central defence, this powerful left-footed player quickly forged a good reputation. He is in particular known for his tonicity, his direction of the marking and his heading ability

About Carlos Queiroz, i think that if he doesn't go to Sporting Lisbon, he'll probably go back to england...

according to the bbc teletext (they never lie ;) )

alan smith will move to manchester united on wednesday in a 7 million pound move, same day he will be having his medical, the deal also means that danny pugh will be leaving old trafford to go to elland road

I cant say I think Smith is that great, however, he will have a MUCH better team around him, and the competiton for playing time is never a bad think, so I think its overall a good move for United. If Rio can stay out of touble and Heinz is better than silvestre and brown, then I think United will be set to win the premeirship again, i really think if Rio had not got suspended, United would have competed more then they did for the title.. It would have been closer in the end

Fantastic day on Saturday!!

It felt good to see some silverware for all the seasons efforts.

We started the season off with a win and a trophy at Cardiff and finished the season in the same way.

The two biggest talking points are Ronaldo and Keano's tribute to young Jimmy Davis.

I remember posting on here at the start of the season, I had just seen Ronaldo make one of the most dazzling debuts and I was very optimistic about the future. He fizzled out pretty much straight away and people started doubting The Kid, well the second half of the season he looked like he was coming to grips with our game and the past few games he's confirmed what I knew from the moment I saw him warm up, he's gonna be World Class, as for Saturday, well I've never seen a more blatant man of the match the match display from anyone (feckin Sven, feckin clueless!) just wait till he fills out abit and gets a major tournement under his belt.

Keano has gotta get a mention for his Tribute to Jimmy Davis, a young United Player killed at the start of this season. The press wont run with it (Beckham would have probley got an audience with the pope) and to be fair Keano isnt the type to look for the publicity anyway, still I hope it made Jimmy's family proud.

Thats the season done now, another year another trophy. Fergie really has got the midas touch 30 years as a manager and he's only finished 9
empty handed  .

So goons, till the charity shield!!!!

Yes ronaldo was class the last month, he will be an amazing asset, man imagine if United had gotten Ronaldhino! christ, only if,,,,

if we had gotten ronaldinho...wo wouldnt get ronaldo...now...imagine if we got them both...

......united weren't so arrogant in the transfer market.

Well the blame for that one lies solely at the feet of Peter Kenyon.

Personally, i don't think we need too many new players to get our crown back. Losing Rio was the big factor this season. We need more quality cover in that position, and somebody in the mould of Keano for midfield (maybe Steven Gerrard - though it'd take a while before i could stomach him playing for us!). We NEED to hold on to Ruud, and don't forget wee Liam Miller. I think he's gonna be a real star. I also have high hopes for Fletcher and (yes) even Djemba-Djemba (given time).

The future's bright......

The future's RED
