 what about the fact you were playing shite football!

sulphhhurix the thing with ronaldo is last season and most of this he gets into a great postion to cross, so ruud makes his run only for ronaldo to do a couple of step overs and delaying the cross thus ruud is left in no mans land! that what the problem is but hey the kids only 19 he will learn when is the right time and place to do his stuff!

i agree with your assessment of ronaldo but he is definitely the future of man u, however Ruud has issues. he seems to run his mouth to the media. wrong timing for the remarks, he comes off as being selfish and self centered. i could understand if ronaldo had a bad match against millwall. i don't think you can build a team around ruud.

I really have grown to like Fletcher in the centre of midfield. He seems so composed and comfortable on the ball.
Davids? Probably not. The only person i think can replace Keane is Gerrard!

but jamie mack, United were winning games, they were in first place, teams could not score against them, once Rio was bannend there defense turnend to shite, i mean utter shite.... You have to look at there record before and after Rio was bannend the statistics dont lie, playing crappy football doesnt not always equate to losing

What remarks have led you to belive he is selfish? Self centered is not a bad quality for a world class striker, which Ruud certainly is... A striker has to want the ball in the 18 yard box, he has to be self centered, that is jsut the nature of the position, he is not there to make pretty passes, he is not there to make fancy moves, he is there to score goals, period... Rudd has shown he can do that on a regular basis, you can certainly build a team around a proven goal scorer.....

We need more quality cover in that position, and somebody in the mould of Keano for midfield (maybe Steven Gerrard - though it'd take a while before i could stomach him playing for us!).

The future's bright......

The future's RED
Ferguson and scholes rate him as the best player in england. Don't fool yourself into thinking gerrard will sign for manu he hates you guys with a passion!!

"maybe Steven Gerrard - though it'd take a while before i could stomach him playing for us!)." <----This comment is fucking astonishing

Stevie g will never play for Manu.

it's like saying manu fans would have to reluctantly accept gerrard!!!!LOLOLOLOLOLOL

Ruud slams Ronaldo
RUUD van Nistelrooy has launched an astonishing attack on United team-mate Ronaldo, claiming that the youngster is not an effective player, tries too many tricks and needs to work on his crossing.

Van Nistelrooy was a lucky recipient of the FA Cup Final man-of-the-match award, with almost all observers feeling that 19-year-old Ronaldo was clearly the best player on the pitch
.

This was taken from a man u website. I disagree sanders, great strikers are selfish but when was the last time you heard shearer, andrei s., henry, vieri etc... blast a younger player in a public forum. the timing was horrible i've read numerous reviews on the match and everyone said the same thing, ronaldo deserved the man of the match award. then out of the blue rvn publicly blasts ronaldo, smells like jealousy not a sensitive striker who wants better service.

whoa now if he did actually say all that, i agree, that is wrong, but I really doubt ruud said any of that, i mean that sounds right from a tabloid..(was that from an official publication?) Henry got into a shoving match with Toure when Toure failed to pass to hiim in the box, i saw henry yelling at him until they entered the tunnel then the reports came out that they got into it, so.......
also that was not a direct quote, it could have been out of context....
Ronaldo does need to work on those things... IMO

Yeah but don't count your chickens mate...nothing is certain in this life...

I actually feel bad for the Leeds fans, they worshipped this guy. I think they could have stomached him going anywhere but to Man Utd.

yeah it is kinda weird isnt, when leeds got relegated and it was certain that Smith was going to leave leeds i didnt think man utd would have been his club that he wanted to move to

the Alan Smith saga is kinda funny really. i mean, the guy was totally worshipped at Leeds. now he's gonna probably be the most hated man in their history! Talk about hero to zero......
Anyway, I think he could turn out to be a real quality purchase. We need fighters at the club now, and Smith is certainly that. He seems like Ferguson's type of player, and if anybody can ge the best out of him, it's our very own beetroot-faced genius!

Mark my words - manchester united will win the premiership next year. all this talk of it being the end of an era is total crap. second best will never be accepted at united, certainly not as long as Ferguson is there. losing out this year (and in the manner we did so) has brought the hunger back. anytime we have lost the league we have come back and won it the next year. arsenal had a fantastic season - but let's face it, it was a freak season. we'll never see the like of it again. losing Rio hurt us big time this year. he's without a doubt one of the best central defenders in the game today. anybody who can't see that (or just refuses to see it) doesn't know their arse from their elbow.
i think as long as we can get off to a good start next season until he's back from his (ridiculously draconian) ban, then our chances of regaining the title will soar.

bring on Ayala and Drogba i say.

then there'll be no doubt!

peace

I guess in Alan Smith's case, its 'if you cant beat the enemy, join them instead." :)
