Manchester United Thread

Tomasz Kuszczak kinda reminds me of a young Big Pete...has creditable Premiership experience and could be a good grab.I read on manutd.com that Ben Foster is doing very very well at Watford and could be our second choice next season.

The MORALITY of the team? I know it's immoral to pretend someone's dog is dead but when we were ever that worried about a team's morals? I leave that to the religious-types.

I'd be much more worried about team morale.

:lmao:
:oops::lmao:

I should really check what I'm saying on Google before posting.

Should we go after Huntelaar of Ajaz?

Reported they will accept 10 million euros minimum

Apparently Ruud's going Chelsea or Newcastle as SAF wants Gydjohnsen!

Hope thats crap!

One of the hottest young forward in Europe for 10 Mill?? You gotta be kidding me....I'd love to see Gudjohnsen at United..hes a classy centre forward and could link between the midfield and attack.

It would be dumb to sell to our closest rivals since RVN is still a very good player who will get you 20-30 goals a season. I doubt the story is true since NOTW makes up stories to sell and fill up their papers on sunday.

I said 10 Million MINIMUM!

If we sell ruud to chelsea it will be the single stupidest thing we've done. Ruud for eidur?! Hello!?!?!? NOTW is a crap paper anyway

I'm gonna try and not give a shit about these stories until after the World Cup. Its too early to jump to conclusions right now,

IF you believe what you read in the NOTW you need your head testing - try buying a 'real' newspaper like The Independant.

Gudjonsen is class. I really wish mourinho had given him more of a chance, ill follow him wherever he goes, even to you lot :(.

However good Gudjonhsen is, he is no out and out goalscorer who'll guarentee you 20-30 goals like someone like Ruud. Dont get me wrong Gudjohnsen is class, he reminds me of Berkgamp with the way he plays and both nicknamed the iceman. But United need a goal poacher, someone who'll get those cheap rebounds and hang out in the box but younger, fresher and more hungry. ideally Torres would be the man but SAF isnt straightforward with getting top drawer proven talent and he'll happily settle for some noname guy from serie A

Gudjohnsen was never the top striker at Chelski...Mourinho even say that they will listen to offers for the striker lately. Its not an impossible transfer,Chelsea were never our closest rivals anyway....Saw Ben Foster for the first time playing on the tube last night..He is awesome.Has a massive kick and a lengthy throw. He initiated numerous counter attacks from the back and that is one of his main strengths. He'd like to stay another season at Watford now that they are in the Premiership but I guess it all depends if Sir Alex buys another keeper as backup for VDS.Its a pity that Chris Eagles was not brought on for some action while Liam Miller only played for like 60 minutes.

i wouldn't say torres is proven just yet. He's not a 20-30 goal a season man

Not yet but he can become a 20-30 goal a season player in a better team, he has all the qualities and he can only get better as he is still very young.

But Ive been very impressed with David Villa from Valencia. He got a good free kick and scores goals from all over the place. But I dont think Valencia would be willing to do business since he is their star player.

I can't honestly see it happening, but if SAF/the board even consider selling Ruud to Chelsea, I'll begin to question if they're not receiving large, inexplicable donations from a certain Russian account. I'd love to see Eidur come to OT, but not in exchange for someone that has a) a real love for United, b) a great relationship with United fans and c) the ability to score 30 goals a season.

I'm 99.9% sure its crap, here's to hoping!

Also thinking this should be a big week for us transfer wise - at least i hope it will be. No one really wants to wait til after the WC as prices tend to inflate quite a bit. Lets get to it fegie and co!

If Ruud goes,I'm 99.9% sure that he will go abroad. He already said it before that he will not play for another English club after United.I hope that this week will spur some activity in the transfer market.Diarra for kit 16!!

Well the Ruud to Chelski is in mirror as well. Really need a young striker & feel Huntelaar or Kyut are the right guys. They will be alot less than Torres.

What about Andy Johnson?

*Sarcasm*

Van Nistelrooy puzzled by slump

Ruud van Nistelrooy has fallen out of favour at Manchester United
Ruud van Nistelrooy admits he cannot understand why his Manchester United career has gone into decline and his Old Trafford future is now in doubt.
Van Nistelrooy stormed away from United's final game against Charlton after being axed from the team by manager Sir Alex Ferguson.

He said: "I know a lot of people in Manchester don't understand it, well it is the same for me.

"I love Manchester United. That is why I don't really understand it."

Van Nistelrooy added: "What has happened has happened. I have a World Cup in front of me with Holland, so I need to try and forget about it and move on.

"But one thing I want to make clear is that I went (from the hotel before the Charlton game) because I had to go, not because I went myself."

Van Nistelrooy has not spoken to Ferguson since his row with the Scot, during which the forward was also told he would not be welcome at Roy Keane's testimonial, a match he was desperate to play in because of his friendship with the former captain.

Chelsea, Inter and AC Milan, Tottenham and Newcastle are among the clubs who have been linked with a player who has scored 47 Champions League goals.

"I have two years left on my contract and if things stay the way they are at the moment I will still be at the club next season," he said.

"But I am not naive and the fact I wasn't involved in the last Premiership game or Roy Keane's testimonial was not a good sign, but nothing is going to happen until after the World Cup."

As I posted a while ago I would not be suprised if Ruud is still with us, I was hoping carloz the jackal was gonna join benfica because alot of players really dislike him and his influence on the team (BRING BACK KIDDO) had that happenend I would have been certain that Ruud stayed.

Basically he's gonna have to eat humble pie, yeah he is a great player and will be in the OT hall of fame but SAF is the boss, end of, SAF fucked keano off for the same reason, possibly the greatest captain we've had, so why does Ruud think he can get away with it. Im not saying its right or wrong, just the way it is.

I feel the Keane situation was different as he personally attacked players in media. Whether warranted or not its still must of been hard for those players.

I think Ruud will be there next season also, he may just have to prove his love for the club. I would prefer the 25m transfer budget be spent on 2 midfielders.

and Ruud sided with Keano, hence the problems in the dressing room.

Ruud doesnt have to prove his loyalty, just gotta keep his head down.
