To be fair as with most of the youth players nowadays he got to much too quick wihout having to do anything and gave it the biggun, hopefully he gets his head right and fulfills the promise shown in his earlier days.

'FOOTBALL'S governing body FIFA has called on Nigerian youngster John Mikel Obi to explain his role in the controversial transfer dispute between Chelsea and United.

FIFA have asked him to present his position on July 4 in an effort to resolve the tug-of-war over the highly-rated 18 year old.

Obi signed a contract to join United from Lyn Oslo in April, but has since claimed he was forced to sign the contract against his will and that he wants to play for Chelsea instead.

Following a report to FIFA from United and Lyn Oslo, the governing body has asked the player for his response, which will come after his involvement in the World Youth Championship in Holland is over.

"We are waiting for the player's position on 4 July," FIFA spokesman Andreas Herren told BBC Sport.

"No decision is likely to come in the near future, at least as long as we do not have the player's statement on this matter."


This is gonna be interesting.....

Apparantly, the deal offered to Ronaldo is for 5 years so if he signs, he's with us until 2010.

If Bobby Charlton is happy then I'm happy. If the Glazers can convince him then it must be the right way to go.

Yeah. But he only had nice things to say about him.
I always thought it was best to support Glazer cuz its not like he's gonna lose control if we continue protesting. Its too late for that now. We might as well support him cuz the future is really in the hands of the fans now after all its the fans that Man Utd make their money from.

I was just watching MUTV and theres gonna be a exclusive interview with the Glazers tomorrow where they will reveal their plans to the fans of the club.
Should be very interest.

And I saw Bobby Charlton's interview long with the Glazer's tour of Old Trafford and they seem like their seriously interested in make Man Utd a much better club.
Majority of fans that phoned in, SMS or emailed the show say they support Glazer after all this and they've really convinced me too.
Charlton is this is "just another chapter" in Man Utd's history and he's sure its something we'll look back on in a few years and say, maybe it was for the best.
David Gill also explained how having one owner is better than being a PLC cuz in someways, it saves money plus its easier for Sir Alex to build a relationship with one owner like Mourinho/Abramovich instead of having loads of people in charge with different opinions and nothing being resolved.

I'm actually quite excited about next season now. Now that Glazer is getting a lot of backing from the fans, I cant really see anything going wrong. Hopefully, the Glazers can force Sir Alex to be more ruthless with the team and go all out to win everything cuz we lacked a bit of motivation at times last season.

We have a very tight fixture list for preseason. We're in Portugal at the moment but we're coming home soon for a few friendlies but then we fly off again to the far east tour where we have 4 GAMES IN A WEEK!!!!!
Then we have a CL qualifier on a wednesday and then Everton in the Premiership on the Saturday of that week.

I heard about that too. The full interview will be on MUTV which should shed some light on what they plan to do at United.

I saw a clip on SportsCenter where the Glazers are shopping at OT Megastore,one of em is seen holding what seems like our new away kit.Not quite sure about it but it was the new nike template like the new arsenal away and was dark blue and had black strips along below the shoulder.The one posted here before was more of a royal blue and had red strips instead..Can anyone confirm this?

Nope,i havent any but its what i definitely saw..even the reporter was sayin like.."...the Glazers here seen at United's MegaStore buyin the a replica blue away kit..." If i'm not wrong its that bloke in pink long sleeves in the pic that u posted Rune.
