Manchester United Thread

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

This is pissing me off now. 2-1 to chelsea again this season. When is fergie going to realise it is not a good idea to have rooney play on the fucking left hand side of the pitch is he retarded!!

I admit we can hold up the ball well with 4-5-1 but we are much better going forward with 442 and you cant play the same game as chelsea coz they will just win. Looks like our respectable unbeaten record in premiership at old trafford is going thanks to this stupid shit. Also we cant keep blaming players!! its not their fault the manager cant get it right. Man this is making me sick to the stomach losing like this.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Whole team is shit!

No heart or organisation need more competition for places especially in midfield!

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Yeah, I didn't think there was that much between the teams. Tiago's strike vs. Fletcher's is kind of the story of the year, they get some fortune, we hit the post. Not many chances for either side, though Gudjohnsen's goal was class. Cole's was clearly offside, but as the commentator's said, when you're the champions things fallinto place. Game also highlighted our need for someone who can take a freekick. We had 3 on the edge of the are and didn't even hit the target.

All in all not too disheartening, dissapointing but next year hoepfully some of the fortune will come our way.

Not with this crap 4-5-1!

Yeah that's true, I am curious while SAF is still working on it. I expected to see Rooney more up front with V. Nistlerooy, who really needs a partner. He's great at getting up to high balls and holding things up, but usually there's no one around to pass to.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

There was this one chance Ron shitted on when he had Saha 100% unmared inside the area (just to Ronaldo's right) a short pass would've given us an instant goal...

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

The team is not shit. We have alot of exceptiona players in rooney, scholes, ronaldo,RVN,giggs and rio. We probably have better team then chelsea but our tactics our clearly wrong.

I tell you if this is a taste of things to come for next season then i would not be sad seeing the back of Ferguson and his stupid right hand man.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Ronaldo is NOT good for the team!

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

ahh well there is always next season to be honest the fa cup can help ease the pain of such a committed at one point in the season to total lack of commitment

I think he just needs to use his head a bit more than going for glory. He has great talent definately needs to stay IMO.

This is furst time ever that I've fell asleep during a united game. And it was whilst we were winning. I wake up and realised we lost 3-1. It was such a boring game. Chelsea are always motivated but our team werent. Probably cuz we werent really playing for anything and the result didnt matter.
Its results like this that get me worried about the future.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

John Obi Mikel will not join Manchester United until January, and says that he has received several threatening calls since signing for The Red Devils.
The young Nigerian was one of the most sort-after youngsters around Europe and looked to be leaving Lyn Oslo to join Chelsea.
However, the newly-crowned Premiership champions dragged their feet over the move and United nipped in to sign Mikel on a four-year deal.
Mikel seems set to play the rest of the Norwegian season, which has only just started, with Lyn before moving to Old Trafford in January.
The 18-year-old African says that he is delighted to be joining Sir Alex Ferguson's side.
Mikel added that the club have assured him getting a work permit will not be a problem despite him not yet playing a full international for Nigeria.
"I will join Man United in January," confirmed Mikel to Kick Off.
"It's a dream come true for me.
"Yes, I don't have 75 percent of international games and that could affect my chances of getting a work permit but the club officials have assured me they will sort that out when the time comes."
Meanwhile, Mikel's move to Manchester does not seem to have gone down well in some quarters, with the teenager admitting that receiving several threats has affected him.
"I have received messages and phone calls with threats from both Nigeria and England. I feel afraid." Mikel told Aftenposten.

Looks like it will be a loooooooooong time before we see this kid in action.

You might need Obi Wan Kenobi the way you lot played tonight! :D

Hope you play the same in the F.A. Cup... not likely!

I just knew someone would say something like that at some time.
But yeah, that was embarassing. I blame it all on Fergie.
I think the day when we finally pick ourselves up and become a great team again will be the day when we appoint a new manager.
I mean, (unless your name is Tim or Roy) how much can you blame the players for all the bad results? Sir Alex's tactics have been f'ed up for the past 2 years and its got us nowhere.
If we lose the FA Cup final, which BTW looks likely, our season would be worse than last year which I didnt think was possible for a team with standards as high as ours.
Out team is definately stronger than last season's but our form has been worse. We can clearly see our potential cuz there have been times when we played great football but we cant do it on a consistant basis.
Man Utd seriously needs to find a manger or coach that will go over to Carrington and give everyone a good kick up the arse and not let players get away with the type of performances that have been displayed this season.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

We were pathetic! Everytime i see Rooney starting on the left wing i have a bad feeling. Im getting tired of saying it now but Rooney has to play upfront with Ruud.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Whats annoying is that people say that on MUTV ALL the time and I'm sure Fergie watches it. But he's chosing to ignore the people.
The sad thing is that we can go and buy loads of new players and it probably wont fix the problem.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Also the style of play is lacking. We don't do quick short pass plays like we used to do these days.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Well im sure no one reads my posts or acknowlegdes them. I have said countless of times that the formation with rooney on the left dont work and also pointed out today that obi mikel isnt joining utd until january.

I may aswell not post if no bothers reading them. it is very annoying someone repeating exaclty same thing i say.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Fergie's comments on the formation:

Ferguson defended his use of the 4-5-1 formation in recent months.
"I accept that if you are not playing well and players are missing chances, the five in midfield can look as if you are lacking intent to win," he continued.
"But pushing two right up is not the answer if you are struggling.
"Our weakness has been much more basic. It boils down to missing too many chances and there you have a problem that defies explanation."

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Darn.We were not good enough to break down Chelsea last nite.I'm sure everyone is annoyed at our useless tons of non-constructive passes just outside our opponents area.Chelski just packed players around the box and we couldnt even get a promising move, goin on.We have fallen. Two more chances to pick ourselves up again, next week at Soton and the big one at Cardiff.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

What did everyone make about the end, the players sein a empty OT whn there saying thanks to the fans? It must give them something think about?

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Gutted that we lost last night, we started well but as with most of our season we just lost our way...

Props to Chelsea though, they played well, especially in the 2nd half.

Gotta fix up of we're gonna challenge next year...

So its down to the FA Cup, see if we can keEp the good run against the gooners...

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

The FA Cup final is the most important game of the season for Fergie now. He doesnt have to worry about resting anyone for a future game cuz its the last one. So basically its do or die.
It'll be interesting to see what the formation and the line up will be.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Shocking second half display last night, no commitment shown, the times come for a drastic overhaul of the side,There's too many second rate players now at the club, (Silvestre,Carrol,Howard,Fortune P. Neville ,Miller, Bellion, Saha,) sell the fucking lot of them, and if Rio still wants to piss about with his contract then fuck him off too, £120,000 p.w. after last nights marking your having a laugh mate !!

You cant really blame Saha. He's a great player once he gets going. Remember his great season with Fulham before joining us? And once he did sign for us, He continued to score in nearly every game until his injury and ever since, he's been getting injured again and again so clearly he's a good player.
If you cant give Saha a chance, why give one to Ruud?

And Phil Neville is a important player too. You cant forget his performances in midfield against the likes of Arsenal.

Bellion is still young and is playing for the reserves (where he's doing well) so he can develop into a good player without the expense of having to play him in the first team.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Honestly i dont really blame the players. We have some of the best players in Europe but if they arent used right(Rooney on wing) or not being given a decent run of games with all the chopping and changing they wont perform consistently.
Back in '99 we had virtually the same team playing every week in every major competition and the result is there for everyone to see.
