I think heinze and cole are at the same level to be honest, both have potential to be much better players than they already are.

heinze has been the best LB in the country this year but he's even better at CB IMO...

what a muppet, did you fight, was it a just fight, do you even know why we went to war...

FFS!!

we sang it for Seba we sing it Heinze the fact that it winds people like you is a bonus....

Linkings today with Ballack, not really a replacement for Keano he's more of a scholsey type of player...

But so far this week, its De jong, who i'd like to see and of course Essien who I rate aswell...

Most fans I know, regardless of who they support think its bad you singing it, I am not in the minority. Anyway, for your information I am old enough to remember why we went to war.

It don't wind me up, I just don't get it.

BTW, Essien is coming to Highbury.

I always thought Ballack is similar to Scholes but stupid KONAMI always have him in the game as a DM which confuses most people.

I still think we should go for Vicente though. We still need a replacement for Giggs and he would do the job really well. Him and Essien or Van Bommel (he'll probably go to Barca) would be perfect for atleast 2 more years. I dont think we should worry about a creative midfielder cuz there are only a few around and they cost too much. If we have Essien, it would be better cuz he can pass and score too.

Last week, fans on MUTV were talking about how Fletcher reminds them of a young Lampard. Which got me thinking, maybe if Fletcher gets more first team football, maybe he could actually turn into the great player that we need.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Fergie seriously needs to take a look at DeRossi, he's an amazing talent.

of course your not in the minority, there's numpties like you everywhere...

and if it doesnt wind you, why yet another post about it..??

Looks like chelsea are after essien aswell, the player has voiced how much he wants to come to OT but Lyon will charge chelsea whatever they want and no one can compete with their money...

In all seriousness, your problem Vann is that you are so far up your own arse you can't see or hear anyone elses opinion but your own.

Good night!!!

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Whats up with you two. Chill out.
Cant believe this starting from a simple question about chanting "Argentina".
If anyone has a problem with it, cover your ears.

Looks like we've got a talent on our hands:

Berg backs Mike! to be a success

5/5/05 10:55 AIvI
Mikel Is Exciting Prospect, Says Henning Berg Former United defender Henning Berg claims new Reds signing John Obi Mikel is one of the most exciting young players he has ever seen.
Berg, now a coach with Mikel’s c!ub FC Lyn Oslo, describes the high!y-coveted 18-year-old defensive midfielder as “better than Steven Gerrard” at a similar age.“Mikel is an amazing p!ayer and the biggest ta!ent for his age that I have ever seen,” Berg to!d the Daily Express.
“He is better than both Steve Gerrard and Michael Owen were at that age and he can achieve great things.”

Chelsea were reportedly interested in the Nigerian youth international - who is still in Norway playing for Lyn - while Sir Alex New Reds S John Obi MikelMike! (right) recently visited Unit Carrington training base for a first-team training session.
Archive: Un ted Announce Mike! Signing Ferguson has promised a warm welcome when the player arrives at the club.Mike! is also quoted in the newspaper, saying: “Sir Alex called me to say he was very happy that I have joined United.“He said he would organise a party in my honour to celebrate the transfer. This is a huge opportunity for me and I am delighted.”

Last week United announced an agreement with Lyn, where Mikel has made just two league appearances so far. He scored his first goal for the club in their 6-1 league win over Molde recently and was voted Man of the Match.

Report by Ben Hibbs.

Sounds very promising....

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

I'm liking the sound of this guy. But the thing is, I look at all these younger players and think, why do I have to wait so long to see them peak?
We need some older players with experience.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

So what's the story with us being linked with Ballack? imagine a central midfield pairing of Ballack and Essien. It now seems the rent boys are sniffing around essien too, as if they need another midfielder.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Its been reported at Daily Star and teamtalk.com that Fergie wants Ballack to be our new midfield general for next season.Ballack is an excellent player but to be honest,I dont know what his real, natural position is,He's a drifter between defence and attack. The two other contenders are ofcourse Essien and Van Bommel, dont forget,we got John Obi Mikel too.Heard lots of good stuff about him.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Good news is United are in talks over extending C.Ronaldo's three year contract. I really hope Ronaldo stays coz he can only get better along with rooney.

I think we really need to secure this essian deal first coz alot of clubs seem interested and although i havnt seen him he sounds good and i dont want chelsea or real madrid or someone stealing him and then become another great player United missed out on. Van Bommel is another option i think Fergie should seriously consider coz he does his job really well and is a incredible set piece taker which i think our team could well do with.

De rossi is another very good young talent who could be stolen and in a few years he will be known and people will be raving about him, so i think United should get him NOW or regret it I dont really understand why many english teams dont go for itallain midfielders.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Apparently Van Bommel is already set for Barca. De Rossi will be hard to lure away as he will be the new captain after Totti, and is a pure Roman.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Yeah. Van Bommel is out of everyones reach now. We need Essien right now. Ballack would also cost a bit like Essien but would probably be worth it cuz he'll last another 3 years at least.
But where do we get the money from?

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

How CRAP is Kleberson?

Another shit result after crap defending by O'shea bloody pathetic!

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

oi... bloody hell. everyone is going to tell me to stop whining, so i won't whine. poor result. chelsea next, are you watching? they probably were, sitting in their couches while drinking champagne out of the cup

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Kleberson played so crap, disgusting, and ROnaldos finishing was shit.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Why does everyone pick on Kleberson? His shooting was crap but his passing was ok and I cant remember him doing anything else wrong.
The only thing people remember about Kleberson are his embarassing shots on goal.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

I agree, before last game he even gave Rooney that through ball which he scored from. Today he was doing most stuff right, but he should really be ashamed of how he missed that one attempt he had today, which gave me flashbacks of Scholes' miss againts AC Milan.
What I want to know is what do keepers have against us? Opponents' keepers give the most amazing performances and against us, meanwhile Howard and Carrol are comparing fuck ups.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

I was just about to say that too. All keepers seem to step up their performances against us. Its just annoying but nothing can be done about it.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

This better not haunt us next seaon. We would have easily won the title if that never happened against us. Some people might say that we lost out on the title by quite a margin. This is true but if you count all the draws we should normally have won like Blackburn, Everton, Fulham, etc, if we had won those, which we definately should have, we would be ahead of Chelsea now.
Sir Alex was telling MUTV after the game that he was very embaressed after the game and the players have embaressed the club. He must feel 2nd place is out of reach and this whole season is a let down. Most of our points dropped have been to teams at the end of the table which is also pretty embarassing. He then said that next season he'll never underestimate his opponents and try to field his best team whenever possible. Which is good to hear us his team selection has cost us points at times.
