Manchester United Thread

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

That was the most one-sided match I've seen this season. Well played United, but Charlton - were you even trying? RuneEdge, I tend to agree with you about the future. Chelsea do appear to be an accident waiting to happen.

Lovely goal by Fletcher imo.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

^ Yeah, Fletcher took it very nicely.

Nope, crayon, they wern't fucking trying. Everyone (all the fans) is really pissed off with Charlton and Curbishly at the moment.

I don't mind losing, Man U are a good side and I didn't expect to win. But it was the way we lost that pisses me off. Like you say, they didn't even try.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

What pisses me off is United putting these sort of performances in when in true reality it doesnt really matter. This is what we needed against Norwich and Palace otherwise we wouldnt be chasing Arsenal. Was a great performance though. Also noticed that Rooney seemed to have free role and was superb.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

i guess these matches aren't as trivial as they seem... all these performances will reflect our overall morale and this needs to be on a high as we approach united - arsenal Part III...

i think this was an excellent result, let's keep them coming!

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

You're right knh4 but these performances show how well we could be if we're at our best. And could help raise the morale and confidence like how Footieballa said.
I was happy so see Smith core cuz I think he really needed that. If Ruud isnt 100% fit, we now know that Smith would be ready to take the place.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

What is the story with Ruud now? How serious is his injury cos hes been missing for the past 2 games.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

I dont think its anything serious. He was probably rested long with Ronaldo for the FA Cup final.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

is physioroom.com correct? says only heinze (expected back for Cup final), saha (returns 7th of may), solskjaer and ebanks blake (both healthy by june 05) are injured.

hopefully they're on the mark because that would mean ruud and ronaldo were just rested.

anyway, on a lighter note, this gave me a laugh: Schools snub bad 'role model' Rooney

heheheh

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

I didnt say we'll guarantee a win. I said we'll IF we can keep up our level of performance. You lot have players missing too and if it wasnt for Van Persie, you might have drawn a few games.
I think its fair to say that a in form and very strong Man Utd side can definately beat a weak Arsenal side.
We already beat your stronger side twice.
And people seem to forget that we beat you in the Carling Cup while you beat us in the Charity Shield at the start of the season.
So technically this is our 5th encounter with us winning 3 of the previous 4.

You have definately had the upper hand over this season, but the Cup Final is a one-off. Previous form\results goes out of the window. The fact you have beaten us 3 times out of 4 is immaterial. We know that on our day we can beat anyone, if we play well its gonna be very difficult for you to beat us IMO. Here's to a good game though with the best team in red winning!!

 I just said the exact same thing in the Liverpool thread.
And why do you get to wear red and we can't?
We all know what happened the last time we played against you in black at the Millennium Stadium.

If both teams colours clash in the final, they both wear away kit. However as in this case both home and away colours clash. It must have been done on the toss of a coin.

Yeah it was. We also got the lucky North dressing room too on the toss of a coin.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

But I heard Arsenal are gonna wear red. When was that decided?

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

So where do you all stand on the Rio saga is it Chelsea rent boy? or Rio sign the deal? To be honest how he can even ask for a pay rise half a season out on full pay and the loyalty shown by the club and now hes holding out!

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

If I was Sir Alex, I'd hold a gun to Rio's head. He owes Man Utd and this is how he pays them?

A couple of weeks back, on the toss of a coin.
WTF!?!?! Are you serious? Who tossed the coin? Wenger?

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Whats the 411 on our new boy from Nigeria? I havent got any news about him from manutd.com.I heard we signed him from this norwegian club?

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Probably more potential that fails to materialise. Im just looking forward to when Pique and Rossi start to stake a claim into the first team.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Pique is ok. People say he's a future captain of Spain.
But you guys have got to see Rossi. MUTV show reserve games and Rossi is in a league of his own. Cant wait until he plays with the big boys.
Not sure if many of you know this but our Reserve team just won the reserve league title. I think they only lost one game. We also won 2 other trophies and we're in the final for 2 more. The only disappointment was the FA Youth Cup but other than that, we're about to make it 5 out of 6 trophies!

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Which people said Pique is going to be the futre captain of Spain? ;) wow things have got bad if your talking up winning the reserves and the manchester senior cup! ;) probably due to the fact you have two reserve teams to pick from where everyone else has one! Rosi does look the buisness though from what ive seen lacks abit of pace but is good with both feet and 19 goals isnt bad! N'galula definitly one to watch! what are the other two finals you are in?

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

In the reserves you have 2 leagues, The North Premier League and a South one. We won the North one and we're playing Charlton who won the south league for the Cup.
I cant remember the name of the last one but I think we're playing Man City in the final so it could be the Manchester Senior Cup.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Looks like Heinze is gonna miss the Cup Final. Thank fuck for that, at least we will be spared those disgraceful "Argentina" chants.

I hear what you say, yeah maybe I went too far. But I just can't understand the logic of singing it thats all. Hardcore Utd fans say that they are unconcerned by the England team, so if international football is an irrelevance, why sing about one of England's biggest rivals? Its unpatriotic. BTW, its just my opinion.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

back to football talk, who do you guys think is better, heinze or cole? i think coles skill is remarkable, but havent seen him play great defense since Portgual vs England, when he made ronaldo look like a 14 year old. Heinze is always solid in defense but his crosses are something to work on... discuss

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Rumours of Ballack on manutd.com today...now there's a signing I'd love see. I'd like to see how he deals iwth the prem, I think he'd be great.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Ballack would be sick as he is proven with bags of experience. At the moment United are being linked with every spanish player under the sun. I really have no clue on who Alex feguson plans to buy but I do know Fergie cant afford anymore flops so it will be interesting. I wouldnt mind United going for turkish international emre or De rossi from Roma.

I think heinze and cole are at the same level to be honest, both have potential to be much better players than they already are.

What does everyone think about the United v Chelsea game next week? should be really good battle although no one is playing for anything. I hope its smith and rooney up front again both are in good form although i would mind ruud being fit i suppose.

what a muppet, did you fight, was it a just fight, do you even know why we went to war...

FFS!!

we sang it for Seba we sing it Heinze the fact that it winds people like you is a bonus....

Linkings today with Ballack, not really a replacement for Keano he's more of a scholsey type of player...

But so far this week, its De jong, who i'd like to see and of course Essien who I rate aswell...
