Are you his Agent?

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

If rio said/demanded this ,then I think United should stand their ground and sell him. Send out a message that the club aint goign to tolerate any player trying to hold club ransom for more wages.

The guy has two years left so we can sell him for good price if he is goign to carry on like this.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

I'm sure the Agent gets his share from deals so he's probably trying to get Rio some money so that he'll get more too.
Rio wont leave. I'm sure of it. If he does go, I can only see him going somewhere like Real Madrid but that wont happen in the near future. Stories like this pop up all the time.
Lets end this here and go to the Arsenal thread to talk about the Ashley Cole story.

I think you are better off going to the Chelsea thread and talk about how they are trying to poach the best English players in the Prem illegally . Once it gets in the papers they then come out and say they are not interested in them, it was just a "chance meeting". What a load of bollacks!!! Its happened not once, but twice!!

Whos gonna be next??? Rooney, Sol, Gerrard???

Thats the thing with Chelsea, all this money and they have no class.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

For once,I have to agree with this Gooner.Couldnt have put it in better words,Butatista."Thats the thing with Chelsea, all this money and they have no class.",exactly what they are.To make Mourinho the highest paid manager ever is such a farce, the man will make 31million in one year! This action will cause a chain of inflation of wages,I tell you.Not good for football, not good at all.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Fergurson has said he expects him to sign within the next few days, If he doesnt sign by say Monday, Teh id start to worry!

Not only are Chelsea destroying the level of competition in the country, they are ruining football for everyone with their cash. You're right Phase about the inflation of wages cuz if everyone at Chelsea receive big pay checks, players and managers all over the world are gonna demand them. If players like Rio dont recieve them, they know that they could just join a club like Real Madrid or Chelsea and get all the money they want.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Let chelsea do as they please and abuse their power. We cant keep looking out for them, United is far more important and better team.

If i was a chelsea fan i would not feel satisfied knowing my team won everything in first season after spending millions of pounds. Its sad really that a team has to get success that way.

Rather win it through hard work and grit, not through sell out businessmen.

Funny thing is, 3 seasons ago when we beat them in the FA CUP replay at Stamford Bridge (3-1 i think), they were at their apex considering their team. If Ambramo-bitch didn't come in, i could say they would have gone the way of Leeds. They were like £30-40mil (not sure exact amount) in debt, which the Ru$$ki cleared when buying out Father Christmas (Bates). They weren't exactly setting the world alight, and now they are even trying to buy themselves in the G14... Money seems to buy all things - but not class and etiquette.

P.s., Sorry Mancs for kinda adding a North London perspective in this discussion :)

That's the point. I'm a big fan of Borussia Dortmund and we got very very much debts. But I'd never welcome someone like the russian arsehole to rescue us and get us plenty of world-class players.

sounds like sour grapes to me, yeah they have a rich benefactor, inter are backed by the owners of pirelli, milan have the Italian President FFS, madrid have had debts wiped out in dodgy circumstances. In the past it was the foreign teams that could lure our players with big wages, now its chelseas turn.

They have been the better team this year, end of, they have impressed me more than the goons title win last year in that they have sustained runs in all comps and have blown teams away in european games.

I welcome the competiton, we've dominated for nearly a decade and a half, arsenal have managed a few sporadic wins here and there but nothing to match their boasts of "power shifts" when they win the title.

as for class and eituquette, i'd like to remind of arsenals behaviour on the last two league visits to OT, people in glass houses...

yeah they're too good. That's how they are goona destroy the level of competition! Mourinho get's paid that cause, chelsea want's to pay him that. It's over the line, sure, but fergie gets a much as him, or more if not mistaken. If you say he earned, true, he did, but did mourinho by utterly dominating european footie with a team with no stars, also earned it! He made them become stars! (well 1 one of them:))

A few years back teams used to pay alot more for players, especially wages. people seem to forget that. they spend millions after millions, but u won't see them spend has half, well less, next season, simply cause they already have a great team.
Strange is that their best players are Lampard, Terry, players that, guess what, where already there. Of course there are other players that got this year and are among the best. (Robben)

They also spent millions on Veron, and that came from... Man Utd, and Crespo, and both these players failed at the club, so they needed new ones.
Oh and Rooney came for free for Man Utd, ohhh and since we are talking about Rio, he sure wasn't the most expensive defender ever in the EPL! :|

You see, they can, they will and they must! (where did that came from)

I'm sorry if this was a little harsh, but c'mon, they are 11 points clears, and they are currently the best team in the EPL. Buying players is required to do that.
I still remember a season when Milan spend about as much as chelsea in one season, quite some time ago. the difference is that Milan failed completely, and chelsea is succeding.

Peace! :)

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Chelsea have deserved it this year.......simple as,
and as a Utd fan , i aint gonna moan about how much they spent, cause we've done the same.

Berlusconi wasnt Italian Prime Minister till last year...... He stepped down at the end of 2004 as president of Milan.

Err this has been discussed plenty of times now and its boring! Utd earned their money through the years of success, One man came and changed chelsea in two seasons, it could of been any team like charlton or southampton with mourinho in charge and all the millions same outcome.

Also i dont recall Milan spending 220million in two seasons on players i think chelsea are the only team in the world to do that.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Just to re-iterate = Chelsea have the best team this season. But having spent £230 million in last 2 seasons and then hiring the manager of the current european champions, then they should have the best team.

Well we've spent bugger all and are still above you. At least Chelsea have something to show for it!

Milan spent aproximately in one season what chelsea also spent in one season. It's wasn't the same value, chelsea went a couple millions higher.
Just to show that a team needs more than simply money to win. :)

I suppose the money shows when the two teams meet!

And that might be the case in your match tonight also

Yes money is required for success there is no doubting that but spending 220million to buy players and one of best coaches is going to gurentee any team success.

BTW when exactly did milan spend all this money? Coz i think you are chatting shit. A few years bk all the top italian sides were spending alot of money on players until they got into debt but it wasnt near 220million

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Half time and we are looking shit. Once again Ferguson has decdided to chop and change for the sake of it. WTF is rooney doing on the leftand why fucking change the formation. 4-5-1 is sooo shit for us. We are playing some defensive formation against Everton.

We play soo predictable its boring to watch and pisses me off. Man im angry we deserver to be losing.

I just hope Carlos quieroz doesnt take over from Fergie when he retires or more of this defensive shit will be on the cards.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Well when you fmake unnesassry changes the team are not gonna go on a run you have to keep whats working, Im sure if we played the same team and 442 we would not be losing. Did you not read what i said at half time.

Man dont talk shit
