Manchester United Thread

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

I feel sorry for smith. I think he deserves more games up front even if that means him being ahead of van nistelrooy or rooney, the guy works hard for the team and he cares.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

yea, you see, that's the decision i think fergie should've made. when ruud was out, smith - rooney on the top of the 442 would have been optimal. i totally agree with you, he totally pours his heart out when he plays, but when he plays he looks out of form (at times) and i believe that is due to the fact that he rarely gets a starting position, meaning he doesnt get the match fitness that everyone else gets. that in itself is a dip in form because one's form is displayed in the way he plays, and since sparky doesn't get a lot of starts, his football suffers

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Oh the excitment only na hour too kick off and I can feel an upset is on the cards.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

No way i can only see a Man Utd win to be honest. Our players are sure to be fired with something to prove.

When sir alex is coming out in newspapers and defending his tactics and players, you know united are going to mean business. It will still be entertaining coz newcastle like to attack which is good coz it will be exciting instead of third rate team defending with 4-5-1 formation.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

van the man is back!! haha see what happens when we play 442.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Yeah, Ronaldo...no comment.

Everything else was great, fun game to watch. See what United can do when teams don't defend the whole match and play for a win? Despite all of Chelsea's success, I still think the final will be the biggest match in England this year.

yea i'm hoping ruud and scholesy will get one too.

HAHA! yes! looks like the football gods have answered my prayers. 4-1 to united! on to cardiff (again), beating the arse three times in one season would be quite the feat in itself!

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Rooney, Ruud and Ronaldo were lethal when counter attacking. This is exactly the type of performance I've been wanting all season.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Yeah it was best performance all season besides the games against Arsenal. Good old 442 worked well for the midfield with keane sitting deep, scholes free to link with rooney while ronaldo rapes the wings and when giggs gets back to full fitness oh shit, with that formation teams are going to be in trouble again.

Nice to see the lads enjoying themselves again.

Feel sorry for newcastle, they need praying for now, they are a dead team. Arsenal better hit the gym and prepare for another physical battle in 5weeks.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

It was nice to see the smile back on Sir Alex too.
We have Everton next. Hopefully we can atleast catch Arsenal in the league.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

nah fortune was playing on the left wing but yes classic 442 and it worked a treat, everyone played sick.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Rooney and Scholes ruled the midfield area. Its good to see Rooney playing in the center where he can produce more instead of having him on the wing.
The counter attacking will be breath taking when we have Giggs in the team too.
The Rooney, Ronaldo and Ruud attack is starting to live up to expectations now.

Can you believe that a few weeks ago, we were saying we need new signings?

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Actually that was 1 game ago. I'd say this is the first step into the right direction. It was a good performance, but you gotta take into consideration that the Newcastle you played just got raped 4-1 and got out of the UEFA cup.

We actually thought we needed new players once Chelsea got a big lead over us and we failed to win a game once Chelsea had drawn.
You're right about Newcastle but the way we played was probably one of our best performances. The 6-2 Fenerbache game was the Rooney show. If it wasnt for Rooney, we probably would have lost that cuz he scored a hatrick and set up the last goal for Bellion. We won the Arsenal games because we beat them on a physical level. Arsenal had a lot of momentum and to be fair, they were playing some great football but they werent ready for a physical fight which is why we won.
But the performance against Newcastle was pure football. We won that because of great passing, possesion, etc. Which is why I regard it as possibly our best performance this season. Its the kind of performance that we should have shown versus Milan in the CL.

RKeane and Scholes are not going to last forever. and as I said age has already struck at Keane! :s
They can't play 50 games per season alone!

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

They both have 2 more years each atleast.

newcastle will also be back and fired since they just got raped 4-1.... they would want to redeem themselves.

They've learnt nothing and were raped again but another mediocre team.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Side news,Rio contract saga is worrying me more than Giggs's.It would be a debacle if we ever let him leave at the end of his contract. This Pini "muddafuking" Zahavi, should shut his pie hole and let the man make up his mind. Now he said that Chelsea were never on Rio's mind and he would like to stay on at United forever.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

If Rio left that would show there is no loyalty left in football. The dumbass forgot to take a drugs test and got rightly banned for it. His club not only stood by him they reinstated him in the strating XI straight away.

How does he repay this faith, by either moving to Chelsea or using them to bolster his already high wages as a contract negotiation chip!

The man is scum.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

The only reason they stood by him is because he cost them loads of money and if they got rid of him, he would have gone to another big club. Of course they stood by him he is one of the best defenders in the world. What use would it have been to them to let him go?

It's like with Birmingham and Pennant the only reason they stood by him is because they got a great player at a minimal price.

So all of this stuff about loyalty is Rubbish, but I still think rio is an arse, like Cole for going behind their clubs backs.

I don't think Rio would go to Chelsea anyway after all of this.
