Manchester United Thread

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

rune your an absolute tool and everything that is wrong with uniteds so called "support" in every corner of the globe. you have said yourself the plc use you to make money. You dont feel bad about that? United are using you and exploiting you, and your too stupid to realise.
You know why I dont feel bad about it? Its because I support the f*cking team. I'm actually helping the club unlike you. Man Utd dont give a shit about people like you. If people like you (I hope there arent many in the world) stopped supporting Man Utd tomorrow, how big of a loss would it be? Not much. But if people like me werent supporting the team, guys like Rooney, Ruud, Rio, Ronaldo, Heinze, etc wont be at the club right now.
I dont have a problem with Man Utd exploiting me cuz I love my team. The fact that you have a problem with it proves that you're just a glory supporter and that you arent willing to help your own team out.

Dangerous Dave said:
But hey you have MUTV so your opinion counts alot! The fact you think if it wasnt for "guys like you" United would be in a lower division just shows for how long you have actually been a fan, how little you know about the team I love, and how you will never truly understand what it is to be a proper fan.
How does that show anything? Please explain.

Dangerous Dave said:
You support the team where you are from, or if there is a family connection, the team that say a prominent member of your family supports.
I just told everyone that I have a family connection. Are you blind?

Dangerous Dave said:
Beckham was on the bench for the Madrid game because Solskjaer was playnig amazingly as a right sided attacking midfielder, hence Beckham being out of the starting eleven for the last three months of his final season. He was on the bench because Ole was better than him.
Beckham was on the friggin bench because Sir Alex was ready to sell him. And why was he gonna sell him? Its because he had personal problems with him. NOT because he's a bad player.

Dangerous Dave said:
No Giggs isnt a liar and a traitor. Why would he be, He's loyal and puts United first. Great player. A legend.
But you just said that Beckham didnt sign a new contract and that makes him a traitor. So why do you feel differently about Giggs? He hasnt signed a new contract.

You're REALLY starting to piss me off now. You're talking bollocks.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

HAHAHA. A glory supporter? Me? from manchester? supporting the team i have since i was a kid, or th one who lives miles away, whos only contact with united is via the net and MUTV

Right so if people like me stopped supporting the team, are you going to go to Old Trafford? Helping the team is singing your lungs out. Not stumping up for a Beckham duvet set.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

how could that possibly be?

If you move homes, do you change your team too?

asking this rhetorical question means that he is for loyalty. what makes you think he used to support another club? ffs, just leave if you think he's an idiot! nobody else seems to have this problem bar you and jamie_mack. it's absolutely infuriating to see people who keep returning to take part in things in which they think lowly of the other people who participate for the same cause, to post in a football/gaming forum

*edit*

that is just preposterous! how would it be possible for you to say that? how are the majority of man united's world wide support base supposed to start supporting man united if people like me dont start joining the red army?! what a pile of shite

You dumb f*ck. I said I have family there. And I go to watch games so what makes you a "better" fan than me?
I've supported the team since I was 5 years old, and I choose to let Man Utd "exploit" me as you say so doesnt that make me a proper fan? Not like you who dont want to help the team because you think that makes you stupid. I cant believe how much of a fake you are.
What makes you a proper fan? Because you sing your lungs out? thats it? I contributed to Man Utd's success like all the other real fans so we can consider this club as our own. Not like you.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Allright RuneEdge and D.Dave...get back to your grounds, the longer you go on,the more you guys will make a fool of yourselves. This is a Man United Thread, not an Argument On Man United Thread.Peeps from other team like jamie "why-support-a-team-if-you-are-not-from-or-associated-with-the-area-they-are-from" mack might come in here and laugh at your asses. The both of you made lots of good, valid points about united.People like FB and myself are getting confused, keep it within the team aiight or contact each other on MSN maybe and then have a grudge,I'm serious.Settle your arguments elsewhere, please.

yeah cos im stupid as im the only fan who actually goes to matches, who would bleed for united, who has supported them for 15 years and is from Manchester, not Oslo, Kuala Lumpa or wherever else you lot (who watch MUTV and therefore think you're a Manchester United supporter) live. How exactly do you lot support United?

NB. Respect to phase if he is from the republic of mancunia

Some people have short memories. Beckham was dropped for Solskjaer for the last three months of the season two years ago when we won the league.

Ronaldo was not bought as Beckhams replacement. He was signed as Ronaldinhos replacement. Fergie even said we signed him a year too soon (we had an agreement with Sporting Lisbon) solely cos of the lack of signing Ronaldinho. Its was solskjaers injury in the forst month of the season that was the problem. Im well aware Ole is or was a striker, but he was playing excellently on the right, and better than Beckham had for a while.

And Beckham obviously did want to leave if he didnt sign a new contract and his management team were negotiating with Madrid hence them knowing about the fact he was not starting the 2nd leg of the quarter final.

And as for you lot slating van Nistelrooy earlier, words fail me. The best striker the club has ever had, and just cos after three months out he isnt on form you all jump on him.

You lot havent a clue. You probably all want Glazer to buy the club.

Dangerous Dave you are an absolute knob. No one on here cares that you break into houses for a living and too boot you live in Manchester and funnily enough support United.

No one except you has a clue, you are a fuckin retard. How was Ronaldo, Ronaldinhos replacement? For memory Ronaldinho never played for united so how was it that he was replace by Ronaldo? wait....fuck im not from Manchester so what would I know.

For the record no one on here cares that you live in Manchester. And no one want to here your whining about others that support Man u but don't live in manchester. Enough is enough ya muppet.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

He was a replacement signing. Pretty simple to understand.

Fergie said he was the cheaper alternative 2 Duff as 17m was 2 much for Duff!

Also teams were bidding for Ronaldo so he had 2 act!

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

I dont belong here? Says the fuckwit who adores Beckham, and whos only link with United is snippets from MUTV

tut tut

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Ok the argument is getting silly and childish now. Just forget about it, let dangerous dave keep his ignorant beliefs that you can only be a true supporter by living in manchester and screaming your lungs out for your team.lol

People like Dave, think people own them something for being such a loyal devote hardcore fan, but in truth, the club couldnt give a shit how much you support them, just as long as they get their money everytime you pay to go see a match.

So in a way Utd are using you dave, how does that feel?

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Okay, this is pissing me off,it stops now.RuneEdge, cool it,no one has the right to shoo anyone off this forums except the mods.Cool it you two.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Arguing against my opinions is one thing but then going on to question my loyalty to a club is just crossing the line.
The fact is, I mean more to Man Utd than you do cuz I spent more money on them, which you think is stupid.
Who would you like more as a friend? A guy that gave you money or a prick that stands by your front door and "sings his lungs out"?

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

This kind of argument will always crop up, Happens between season ticket holders and occasional matchday fans, and between home game fans and the travelling hardcore who go away to southampton on a wet weekday night."I'm a bigger fan than you" At the end of the day its irrelevent, the only thing that matters is that you support your team through thick and thin. Lets knock this in-fighting on the head lads, we're bigger and better than that.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Rune do you think uniteds players prefer you cos you buy bedspreads, united wallpaper, and mutv, or someone who goes to games and actually supports the team who they know will always be there for them? Someone who is loyal, turns up, and is there year after year. You'll probably support Chelsea in a year.

And i would rather a mate who is loyal and one i can trust. I bet you would love Abramovich at United. Would you?

Yuo are the type of fan that is spoonfed via the media, and uniteds own marketing campaign, to believe their own importance. They say and do what they want and know all the idiot "fans" who have bought into the united brand, will give them free money

Manchester United has always been an institution in Manchester. As Sir Matt said, United wasnt for anyone else but the fans. Those who worked all week in factories, had their one bit of joy each saturday, by cheering on United, and United were duty bound to entertain them. Football was for them. United are there for the fans. The proper fans. Not the muppets who support United cos Beckham was there.

Because United marketing is unbelieveably good you think United care about you and its so amusing. All they want to do is make money from you lot. They basically whore overseas fans. And you think loyalty is via buying United products. Its not.

Maybe you will understand when you grow up.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

of course we do. we attend games, fight off takeovers (if you are aware at all of what proper united fans have done over the years to fight takeovers you would be surprised. We stopped the club being sold in 99, and fingers crossed this year too), and are naturally loyal.

Real fans contribute more than anyone else can imagine. We're the heart of the club.

And how do you fight takeovers? By "singing your lungs out"? (I find that quote more stupid everytime I read it).
Everytime I and fans like me spend money on Man Utd, we are increasing their profit. Which means we are increasing the share price. Which then makes it much harder for people like Glazer to take over the Club because the team is more expensive now.
So now tell me. Who's fighting the take over? Me with my spending or you with your singing?
Face it, you mean nothing to the club.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

So, what do you guys think about the alledged Rio Ferdinand meeting (with people from Chelsea)?

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

It was a coincidence. Seriously, it doesn't make any sense that Chelsea would want a CB. They already have 4 excelent CB's! And Mourinho always said he wanted 2 players for each position. CB's are the exception or course, it makes 4! 2 in the eleven 2 in the bench!

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Enough of this crap with Dave. Lets talk about the FA Cup. We just saw our rivals Liverpool beat off Juventus which was pretty impressive. While us on the other hand seem to be experiencing a drop in form.
Does anyone here think we can do it? I'm having doubts. It seems like every team is playing better than us right now.
Correct me if I'm wrong but Sir Alex has never retained the FA Cup has he?

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Other than Milan I've been pretty impressed with United in 'big game' situations this year. Should really have taken Chelsea to OT in the carling cup, certainly we played as well as they did. Beat Arsenal...twice. Beat Liverpool, beat Newcastle already...I'm not pessimistic.

That said, I also expect Ruud to get a damn goal. It's getting ridiculous. I know its not all his fault, but he's got to get in there, prove the doubters wrong on a big stage. I can hope for the headlines Monday morning...

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

yea i'm hoping ruud and scholesy will get one too. as a matter of fact, i think anyone who scores a goal would be nice, two consecutive matches without bagging one is just terrible. for me, i would start our strongest 4-4-2 lineup, that being howard, gary, ferdy, mikael, heinze, ronnie, keano, scholesy, giggsy (who will sparkle),rooney, ruud. this must start and this must get a goal!

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Wait, I thought giggsy was out? If he's back that's good, though he limped off last time he tried to come back, maybe needs more time :(
