Rune do you think uniteds players prefer you cos you buy bedspreads, united wallpaper, and mutv, or someone who goes to games and actually supports the team who they know will always be there for them? Someone who is loyal, turns up, and is there year after year. You'll probably support Chelsea in a year.

And i would rather a mate who is loyal and one i can trust. I bet you would love Abramovich at United. Would you?

Yuo are the type of fan that is spoonfed via the media, and uniteds own marketing campaign, to believe their own importance. They say and do what they want and know all the idiot "fans" who have bought into the united brand, will give them free money

Manchester United has always been an institution in Manchester. As Sir Matt said, United wasnt for anyone else but the fans. Those who worked all week in factories, had their one bit of joy each saturday, by cheering on United, and United were duty bound to entertain them. Football was for them. United are there for the fans. The proper fans. Not the muppets who support United cos Beckham was there.

Because United marketing is unbelieveably good you think United care about you and its so amusing. All they want to do is make money from you lot. They basically whore overseas fans. And you think loyalty is via buying United products. Its not.

Maybe you will understand when you grow up.

:lmao: Man United bedspreds what is the world coming too.

A hamstring injury is a kick in the teeth for any footballer.Ryan should know this already. It cant be rushed back and needs plenty of theraphy and rest.IMO Fortune has always given us 100% whenever he plays, plus he can defend too.He should get the nod I think.Ruud badly needs a goal,if its a good time to get it,it would be this sunday. We have beaten them before at St James',we can beat them again.Have faith.C'mon United.

OK. I admit that was kinda funny but he still talks crap. Lets put it in the past.

Anyway, Giggs does have a chance of playing but the big question is should be do it? We saw what happened with Ruud against Milan.
I think we'll just have to use Fortune on the left. Or we could use Ronaldo on the left and someone else opn the right.
Lets just hope Fergie doesnt go back to 4-3-3 and put Rooney on the wing again.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Giggs will play, its in fuckin Wales the man would give his left testicle to play in front of his inbred cousins.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

'Rio wants to play abroad' - Agent
Rio Ferdinand's agent has admitted the Manchester United has a long-standing ambition to play abroad.

Pini Zahavi ridiculed reports he and his client held a meeting with Chelsea chief executive Peter Kenyon as 'the mother of all jokes' but revealed that Ferdinand will go to the continent if he does not get the contract he wants at Old Trafford.

Zahavi told the Guardian: 'He wants to stay at United and the idea is to extend his present deal by another three years.

'If he doesn't sign a new deal he will leave in two years to play abroad, which has always been one of his ambitions.

'But I think he will stay providing the conditions are right.'

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Fergie needs to give kleberson a realistic chance to prove himself, like a proper run in the first team in his proper position which is on the right of midfield. I just dont get why fergie buysd these players and says they have potential and all that shit and gives em only 2-3 games then gives up on them, He then shows them the odd chance of bringing them on in the odd game or playing them in a second team like we put out against norwich and when they dont perform they get blamed.

Now we are linked with some spanish defender youngster named Sergio Ramos who i never heard of. Suppose to be another one of Fergie's starlet players who he thinks holds potential, but I think same thing will happen to him like what happend to Forlan, smith, bellion, miller, djemba(although djemba was just plain shit), kleberson, saha etc,imo its just wasting talent and wasting their careers not giving them proper chance and the manager never puts faith any of these players i mentioned.Anyone else agree?

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Sergio Ramos aint anything special imo. Watched some Athetico Bilbao games ( i think its Bilbao)... and hes nothing special. United have better defenders.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

errmm..milanista,hes from Sevilla.Hes quite impressive actually, has bags of energy, already a full spanish international at 18 years old.Plus,G.Nev isnt getting any younger.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

I wonder if Milan would want Rio. Given that he's pretty impressive, and their defense is getting a bit up there ;) Also, where would he go bigger than Unitd? Only really Milan or Real, maybe Barca...

Imo he would fit in. Hes quite agile, Nesta-like.
there simliar but i still havent seen a CB in the world with the skills of rio, he is silky smoooooooth...... but in the air he is weak... unlike nesta

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

I dont think I've ever seen Rio under pressure. He's always cool and confident.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Talkin bout mah man Rio.He aint that bad in the air,he could be better though.Rio always has time on the ball, like all great players do,plus he is technically gifted too, superb first touch for a defender. No other english defender reads the game so well like he does,in my opinion.Thats why you rarely see Rio on the ground doin a last ditch tackle on his opponents,he just GETS the ball.Future captain of United if he stays forever,no doubt.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Doesnt look good now Glazier gone to 300p per share! What do you lot think of the stories saying there is alot of player unrest with Carlos Q being given extra team responsibilitys?

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

I personally dont like Carlos Queiroz. I dont have anything against him. I just think we could have had a much better assistant for Sir Alex.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Good news is that graham poll is injured so Mike Riley is taking charge at cardiff saturday. Excellent ref i think, one of the best around.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

about the ref, yea riley is a quality ref compared to the likes of poll.

anyway, about CQ, i think he fits in well because he's been here before. he's a fitness nut so he likes to whip up the players in tip top fashion.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

I didnt know CQ was a fitness nut. thats good to hear coz i dont like when players get constantly injured coz they dont bother to take care of their body. I do know that CQ helped United alot sort out the defense coz before he first came to us, our defense was a shambles at times.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

I'm not to sure of what to think of Queiroz. His record speaks volumes though as far as I can remember.Hes pretty much the technical type rather than a fitness nut, thats for sure.We got that fitness guru from Real didnt we,Walter Di Savo or sumthin like that, some italian dude, correct me on this.As with Carlos and the way United plays now,I think all United fans prefer the way we play under Brian Kidd.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

hm, i had the impression it was either one of di salvo or queiroz, something tells me it was queiroz. oh well

like your sig there phrase mate, it's a good line. but i hope next year we'll be celebrating the success of a fruitful season

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

The Sun newspaper today read that Ruud would be thinking about quitting if we dont get our act together.
I know its probably BS buts its worrying. I hope none of our players get any ideas from these kind of stories.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Yeah i read that too, the sun come out with such bs sometimes and the sun didnt even print it like it was a big story, just at side of back page. The papers like to stir up all kind of trouble when team aint doing well just to make it seem worst. I mean in paper today saying beckham blamed Carlo queiroz for his fitness and how he wasnt getting proper training in preparation for euro2004 and how united players are unhappy with his coaching. BS

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Its just annoying when people and the press actually go to the players to ask if any of the stories are true and then the player starts to reconsider his decision.
The stories earlier about Ronaldo rejecting a contract extension scared the hell out of me.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Im only starting to worry now coz we aint really won any major silverware for past two years and would now understand players frustrations such as ronaldo or rio who would want a better chance at champions league at milan or chelsea or even real madrid.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

i saw this situation arise from miles away. it was clear that players like rio and ronaldo only came to OT because they were expecting success. we have had everything but success (obviously we can argue about our definitions of success) and it would not surprise me if the players looked elsewhere; though i would be truly gutted.

however, some up tempo news. as we gear up for sunday's clash in the welsh capital, soccernet claims that rio is looking for a new contract to stay a devil and also to become skipper at man united.

story number two: according to sir alex, via SkySports, the irreplaceable ryan giggs is looking to renew his contract with the red devils in a bid to stay at united. the scotsman was on the topic over how shocked he was to see the 31 wales-international return to Carrington for training prior to the team's departure to Cardiff. Says Fergie "Absolutely, I'm shocked. All of a sudden, he came in and said he felt a bit better."

lastly: alan smith believes that captain Roy Keane's blast towards several players on the squad will lift the spirit of the side that travels out of the country to play newcastle united on sunday. says smith "Sometimes you need a reminder about just which club you are playing for and the standards that are expected at Manchester United."

oh how true he is...

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

So it looks like we'll have to face Arsenal in the final if we win.Newcastle have players missing so we shouldnt find it too hard to win. Hopefully we can hammer 'em and send a message across to all of england.
