Redondo joined injured for 2 other years.

that was really some bad luck... awesome player that cause of a injury completely disappeared. Did he retire?

On the Man Utd issue:
Well fergie said 2 years ago when CQ went to RM, that he was his probable successor. What do you think? Does it scary you? It should, cause I don't really consider him a world class manager! good as second man but no more!

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Yeah, given what Carlos did with Madrid, not to mention whats happened since his return, I'm not eagerly awaiting the end of the SAF era. What about the idea of Keano playing one more season, then moving into a manager role? Maybe even a player-manager as a back up option. Stranger things have happened...

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

I think Keano needs some manegerial training before managing a club like Man U.
Imagine what someone like Mourinho would have done with our team by now.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Personally,I agree to the reports in recent days stating that Sir Alex wont be sacked. Its been 19 years at the helm and I believe that he will give himself one more chance, next season to prove that he still got it.If we won back the premiership next season plus other trophies, probably he will stay on but if we are where we are now,he will walk.As for the assistant manager job,I really dont have a vision on this.I dont know if Carlos Queiroz has the balls to do it,I'd personally have an ex player holding the job, someone like Brian McClair or even Roy Keane.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Brian McClair is actually our current Reserve team coach.
I personnally want Keano to stay as coach but have someone like Sparky or Steve McClaren as boss.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

I wouldnt mind someone such as sam allaydice(sp) or David Moyes to take over, these guys are serious managers.

Oh yeah news today of Barthez getting six month ban for spitting at referee, man I miss this guy.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

What has happen to this place? Where have all the true Mancs gone? We're facing Newcastle at home in an hours time and there is no team talk?

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Just bloody hope Rooneys playing upfront with Ruud, just bloody hope!

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Man UTD are down already, anyone know the lineup from both teams?

Classy finish there by Rooney. Looks like a stroll now.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

What do you guys think of us maybe getting Shay Given?

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

A well deserved win i think, we never was outplayed or anything we was just unlucky from tim howards mistake. Love to hear what saunders has to say about his lover.

442 worked well again, we played flowing football again and our counter attacks looked deadly at times. Kleberson played ok, should have smacked that volley in though.

I hope heinze is alright i missed the challenge but must of been bad.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

I'd love to have a vid of that goal on my PC.
It was f*cking brilliant. I heard Sir Alex was just about to sub Rooney and then he scored to goal which let him play the rest of the match.
He whacked that as if he was saying "Pick that muthaf*cka out"

What game were you watching? Great goal by Rooney do you think it was better than his one agaist Boro in the cup?

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

It was not our usual flowing football I must admit. We had a few real threats at our goal and were lucky not to concede them.Kleberson should have been introduced earlier in the game as Fletcher was off,the whole game. That goal from Rooney was his 10th goal, his highest ever goal count in a season. It came out of nowhere, literally, long ball from Keane for Smith, only to be headed away by O'Brien and the next thing you saw was this fat boy, smashing it into the back of the net, smashing being the operative word here. That volley separates this 19 year old from the rest, enuff said.
