Manchester United Thread

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

i wont take sides, because no teenager or anyone at the age of 21-22 should be asked to give in perfect performances every match. this is the reason behind those vacations for ronaldo, im not sure about rooney getting the same treatment, but i would understand if he did. rooney had a nightmare of a match against palace, missing the penalty took his confidence. from there on in, you could see, his darting runs were halted, forcing him back because he could not find the right pass. given the opponent we may have gotten away with a little, but consistancy is the key.

Rooney bid left us skint – Fergie
Sir Alex Ferguson has confirmed Manchester United blew the whole of their transfer budget on Wayne Rooney. Fergie said: “I will not be doing any business in January. I rarely do business in January and I have no plans this time.”
Jeremy Butler, News of the World

There goes the news about the January Transfer rumours. No new players unless we offload a few faces.Expected really.

And If you thought Ronaldinho would eventually join us one day, think again.Bitch.

Barcelona star Ronaldinho admits he would like to play in England one day and has revealed the opportunity to join Chelsea would prove very attractive. "Any great player would want to be part of such a sensational team," he said of Chelsea. "My brother, who is also my agent, has spoken to me about Chelsea many times.I had a chance to move to them before I came to Barcelona but at that time, even though they offered more money, I was not interested. But I have seen since then that Chelsea have a great infrastructure. What they are doing is absolutely amazing and it is a place where great things are going to happen in the future. I respect them a lot and I can maybe see myself living in London one day.I am happy in Barcelona but I cannot rule out playing in another country in the future.I would love to play in England to prove that technical players can succeed there."

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

there's an article on sky sports that says that carroll is optimistic on signing in the new year. this means our slight goalkeeping problem has been solved and now we can concentrate on just winning games. i am still a little worried over giggsy's contract, but by the way he's been playing now, there's no way he won't resign.

i also read that, i think manutd.com or skysports.com, that fergie is not going to be buying over the january transfer window, but didnt mention anything about selling.

he said the same thing last year... then he bought saha

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

well i think this year is different, we didnt spend loads of money on a teenager last year. we spent next year's transfer money to get rooney, so just by induction i just dont think it would be sensible to dip in to the market this winter. im not saying anything about how rich united are, just saying it wouldnt be the smartest transfer to make

to be honest this is just bullshit to appease the united stockholders, United have the money to buy 3 or 4 rooneys in january, i mean christ there stock just rose 6%!!!!!!
I wouldnt be surprised if they bought somone in january..... what do you all think of spector geting loanend out to another prem club... i think this kid is going to be special...

Hes a great prospect. He played against Blackburn and Everton earlier in the season and looked very good. A loan spell to a struggling premiership side will make him better.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

i guess you re right CS, i hope someone consistant is going to brought into OT this winter

you can't slate ronaldo for not performing well, when rooney is also under par as well.

as i recall, he was the MAN who broke the goons unbeaten record. so there, 2 games he perforemed well.

i agree with kingpug.

rooney has not been playing well of late. he has not been performing that well compared to the euro championships. (the only time i remember him playing really well for man utd was against fenerbache)

scholesy is a world class player and keane has been superb in the last few matches.

giggs on the left and ronaldo on the right, you telling me defenders would love to see that on the team sheets? pace and trickery on either flank, just what defenders hate.

ronaldo is only 19, and he can improve so much more. fergie is trying to mould him into a team player, but if he has the opportunity to go past players he has got the skill to do so.

slim how can you say scholes is past it? keane is over the hill?

rooney under par, you must not watch the same matches i do, he doesnt score in droves, but his passing has been sublime, i mean he sees things on the pitch no one else can see, rooney will be a great player one day... so will ronaldo

spot on C, this kid is genuine class talent, I dont like the way "world class" is easily thrown around these days but if this kid keeps up he'll be the real deal.

If people are gonna judge him goals thinking he's gonna get Ruud numbers then ya wrong, Ruud is great at scoring goals, Ronney will score great goals and his all round contribution is top notch, his fitness has improved his touch is getting better he's already scored more this year than his last two with everton so its coming along just nice.

anyway we've got the kid till 2010 so theres plenty time yet.......

After spending £27 million on him you hope he turns world class!! In fact you would hope he already was!

bollox, you pay for potential, real paid £50mill for zidane cos he was ALREADY world class, big difference.

anyway we've only give everton £10mill up to now so IMO its a bargin! shit his hatrick, and the finishing goal when we dusted you's (50 and not out LMBO!!!!) has already raised his stock, he's probley paid back that in shirt sales lol.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Crikey, you lot are touchy!! Shame horse face is out for 2 months, means we won't be able to verbally abuse him when your bad smell comes down the home of football in Feb.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

alright, well you lot can continue the bickering later, but gabby heinze and ronaldo will be returning to action for our boxing day clash against bolton. hopefully the return of the argentinian can patch up the glimpses of nightmares the fullbacks witnessed against palace.

Thats a bit too soon innit?..how many days were they given off altogether? Heinze could have stopped Palace's second goal after the break as Oshea got sucked in.I always laugh in irony when the fans chant "Argentina,Argentina!!" with in mind that the english hates the argentinians in the footballing world, hahaha.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

yea i could remember ronaldo's break last year being longer than this by a mile. well i hope they dont get jaded and that their returns can benefit us (of course they will)

Let me put it a boring way.

I am so glad Ruud Van Nistlerooy is injured for the next few months.

But I would rather be a newbie than be a sad b**tard who searches around for silly pictures and put people down. If you are not gonna comment on on the fact that Ruud is injured, then hop it matey!

I don't think many people are afraid of him unless they have a phobia of Horses!

And yes I will call him anything I want, thank you very much.

And why would I masturbate over my post? don't think the postman would be very happy would he?
