From a Milan point of view, im very scared of Ruud and Scholes. But i think Sheva, kaka and Nesta can do the same harm back, hopefully more :)

Your forgot to mention Rooney.

Milan just better hope that Schev's appointment with the hair dresser doesn't clash with the big match.

I can equally say the same about Christiano Ronaldo

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Milan have one of the best defensive records in the CL this season while Ruud is the top scorer and we've scored the most goals in a game this year.

This should be a very interesting game. I watched the preseason friendly between the 2 teams and it went into penalties. But we had a much weaker side then while they were pretty strong so I'm sure we'll give Milan a good game.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

If Milan lose, id only hope that we lose after playing a good game. Kinda like United-Real Madrid a few years ago. Even though united were out, it was one amazing 2nd leg.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Any official word on Ruud's injury? Definitely missing his presence. Its good to see Smith get another goal, but need a striker constantly upfield. Smith and Rooney both like to come all the way back, and often giggs/ronaldos/fletchers balls into the middle are met by nothing but defenders. I'm surprised that Smith isn't molding more into RVN's role, with Rooney sitting off him. But still, solid performance today, Kiralyi (sorry if mispelt) was fantastic for palace, without him would have been embarassing.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

scholes was sensational once again, couldve easily been three for him, six in six for him, doesnt get better now does it. rio + silvestre was inpenetrable... at times. when they scored, we looked untidy and another blip was most definitely the missed spot kick. we miss ruud a little bit, but its good to see sparky get one.

giggsy was in superb form, like the commentators said, this was the giggs of old, as well as scholes and keano. fletcher looked hesitant at times soo that was a worry, but he hung on. heinze has joined ronaldo for some fun in the sun, soo sheasy got a run out and i felt he did just fine, and i was just about to say "just another mediocre match for the substitute" when i found mesself singing "when johnny goes marching down the wing, the stretford end will fuckin sing."

lastly, i have a comment about the substitutions. why only one?! i saw bellion warming up and i swear either rooney or smith needed a break. thought bellion and maybe miller couldve had a run out, unless fergie was pushing keano for his 50th goal. (i noticed scholes started to slip from attacking to more defending, allowing keano to go up. scholes was on a hattrick, keano on half a century, it was just a matter of choosing)

CMON UNITED! CANT WAIT TILL FEBRUARY!!!

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Van the man is out for up to six weeks with achilles injury which is a big blow but the good news is he will not need another operation which we can do without, i swear nearly our whole team has had to endure operations for injurys. Fergie needs to get on a proper strict diet or something im sure no other team gets as many injuries as us.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

I get worried about Ruud's future career. He seems to be constantly injured the last two years, he clearly needs to improve his fitness/training. Great goal scoring threat when he's around, but how many games has his missed? Its hard for the rest of the team to form a unit knowing he'll play if he's healthy, but that's not very often...

Hes only 28 (which isn't even the prime of his career in his position), so I don't think his career is on-the-line. Look at Shearer. He is 35 and still going strong.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

A striker like Ruud can still be playing well at the age of 34. He just has these natural predatory instincts.
Great game today though. Not worried about the 2 goals we conceded, against better opposition i know we defend better.

Great result for us.Its not how we won it,its how the 3 points matter.I would be happy if we won only by a goal, thats needed to keep our confidence high, after the 'blip' at fulham.Rooney should have smacked it in,Scholes should have got his hattrick,Giggs and Keano deserved a goal at least.Great game for the fans who came for goals.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Another precious 3 points for Manutd and damn with Chelsea also getting 3 points, now lets hope for Arsenal losing to Portsmouth

And I would agree with you 100 per cent. But United would do better with out Ronaldo, his too tempremental. Brillant on his good days, but fucking shithouse when his off his game. united need more consistent players, instead of over hyped divas like Ronaldo. They did the right thing fuckin beckham off he was shite.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

OH MY BLOODY GOD...cant believe what I just read.

You are saying Ronaldo is too "tempremental" but when your loved one Wayne Rooney does the same you believe that it shows commitment to England?..hahaha m8 you really are a comedian and a half.

I disagree, Ronaldo is a superb player, he is fast, can skin defenders and has a great cross off the ball.

I suppose trying to talk to you is like talking to a brick wall, in your crazy mind you seem to believe Rooney is above the rest in the world of football..

On to the main topic, I dont see Man UTD beating AC Milan, Rooney will have his work cut out playing against Nesta and Maldini..some real defenders for a change.

Where as Shevchenko and Crespo will do damage to the Man UTD defence apart from Rio, who will have to be on top form playing against Milan.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

You have a thing for hijacking topics of late don't you pug? Why are you posting your bullshit in here? If you have a problem with me, why don't you go and make a poll about what an idiot I am in the off topic discussion, instead of destroying the football forums with you boring brand of spam.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

How is it highjacking the thread when its a discussion about football?..

You cant even admit you are talking utter shit, so you change the subject to polls and spam..

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Your hijacking it too launch personal attacks on myself and Wayne. I'm sure most of the Man United fans and fans of football in general would be shocked and mortified by the way you have behaved in this thread. You have crossed the line of common decency, I think and apology is due to both myself and Wayne.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Jesus christ..how is an attack on you when I am questioning your opinions?..

They will be more shocked at you saying all the Man UTD team is shit and only Rooney is the good player..

Anyway I have waisted enough time with you, go see a doctor about that crazy obsession you have for Rooney, and have fun.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

I never labelled them shit, maybe mediocre springs to mind. I mean Scholes is past it, the little ginger kipper as been well off his game for some time. Roy Keane one of the best players of the last decade, is over the hill and this will be his final season. Ronaldo is a trick pony, and on a shit day like the game against Fulham he is a player that Man United would be best to not have, time and time again the trick pony ran into the centre of the park and attempted a shot at goal only for it to bounce of one of his team mates or a defender. If it was once it would have been fine but he seriously fucked up, he should have been sticking to the flanks and crossing it into the Roonstar or Smitty.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

So what does this mean:

"His worked miracles given the shit quality of players behind him."

Scholes is old but according to the EPL website he has been on top form the past few matches, which explains why he has been scoring goals..

Ronaldo is a trick pony so you say, so whats the problem?..if it gets the job done then why complain.

I shoulda watched Match of the day to see how pish Rooney played, bcause again, according to the EPL website he played terrible, even mising a penalty..

He shoulda crossed it to Rooney, for him to do what, do his 19 mph shots along the ground?..

And if Ronaldo would leave Man UTD, who they gonna put on the right wing?..he is fast, and can cross the ball..what else do you want?..for him to score over-head kicks from 70 yards out?..for him to cut in and score from outside the box?..

"Scholes (2) and Smith lead festive goal-feast. Read our report here..."

Scoring 2 goals really is a bad performance huh?..considering he is a midfielder..

How many did the "Roonstar" score?..

"Paul Scholes grabbed two of the goals with Alan Smith, John O’Shea"

Even Oshea can score, but Rooney cant?..

And here is what Ferguson says about Ronaldo: http://www.manutd.com/bio/bio.sps?iBiographyID=9737

Anyone who says Ronaldo isnt a good player needs to go to spec savers. He may not scor 3 goals pr game, but like every player in the world he has his off and on days, like Rooney..

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

EPL this EPL that. How about you make some decisions for yourself. Your read what other people write critics persay, are you really so shallow you can't form an opinion for yourself.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Well, maybe if I watched the game I could give my own point of view, but explain how I can do this when I didnt watch the game?..

All the stuff I write, and you cant even give a valid answer, is it because you know I am right?..

Ok..lets here your side of the story, did Rooney perform or didnt he, answer that.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Rooney didnt have the best of games but that doesnt mean based on one bad performance that he is shit. i mean grow up and watch some real football instead of reading websites/articles and othe peoples opinion.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

I see the real slim rooney is feared to admit Rooney had a shit match..

I never said because of one poor game hes a crap player, how many god damn times do I have to say ROONEY IS A GOOD PLAYER..

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

i agree with kingpug.

rooney has not been playing well of late. he has not been performing that well compared to the euro championships. (the only time i remember him playing really well for man utd was against fenerbache)

scholesy is a world class player and keane has been superb in the last few matches.

giggs on the left and ronaldo on the right, you telling me defenders would love to see that on the team sheets? pace and trickery on either flank, just what defenders hate.

ronaldo is only 19, and he can improve so much more. fergie is trying to mould him into a team player, but if he has the opportunity to go past players he has got the skill to do so.

slim how can you say scholes is past it? keane is over the hill?
what has rooney done apart from that amazing hat-trick in the CL?
you can't slate ronaldo for not performing well, when rooney is also under par as well.
