Carroll has got that commanding presence,he shouts a lot and barks at his defenders for not doing well,and yeah,just like Schmikes used to do...I hope he dosent play hard to get and dont sign the contract.

A midfielder is definitely top priority but what type of midfielder? Left mid, def mid or att mid?
Im very happy with Carroll. Always thought he should have been given a good run and hes really been shining for us latley. Very assured, composed and give his defenders a right good rollickin when they need one.

i agree with saunders. its fletcher and miller to replace keano and scholes in the future i believe. soo to answer knh4, i believe we need another superstar winger who can allow ronaldo to switch wings like giggsy did. dont know if you fellas noticed, but whenever giggs and ronnie were on together, they gave each other the best width possible, they were perfect compliments of each other.

Fletcher will always remind me of Beckham,before his blonde days.He wears the same number as Becks,24, and his passes are superb and accurate.He needs to work on his workrate and technique to reach anywhere along Becks's standards.I'm not too sure of comparing Fletcher and Keano though....for instance,Flecther tackles like a sissy,hahaha.

Its just that some of his crosses remind me of the way Man Utd used to play like the one Rooney scored from against Newcastle and van Nistelrooys goal against Fenerbahce.

Anyway, who are we playing next and when?

We're playin Charlton at home on the weekend.I'd like to say it should be an easy game for us but,Charlton aint no pushovers this season.

yea i get those every friday, that one being the most recent. i especially love the one they created after rooney's trick against fener

anyhow, charlton thrashed norwich on the weekend 4-0, and we only managed a measley 2-1 win soo hopefully we can perform as we did against the toon

yeah he is a little bitch, he gets thrown aroound the park everytime, i dont think he is cut out for english football in the long run....

Nah, Reyes is a great player. He just complains too much. For example, when Ronaldo was getting kicked about in his first season he didn't complain half as much as Reyes.

Anyone read the interview with Reyes in FourFourTwo? He is actually a really nice lad - very down-to-Earth, he lives with his parents who he loves, and he loves the English game because "you don`t have as much time to think as you do in Spain, which makes the football more exciting".

he probably is a nice guy, but after the whining he displayed in the MAN U game and the whining I saw in the hotspurs game, he is going to get a reputation as a whiner, which will probably just motivate his oppoents even more, cause after all no one likes a whiner :)

Maybe it's because manyoo always plays like wimbledon when playing against Arsenal. Ohh and talking about whiners The Fake Ronaldo anyone? Went down against Newcastle a whole yard away from his marker screaming in agony. Moan about that you glory hunting twat.

you sound like a whiner as well, just like your whole team... what about when reyes played hotspurs? Where they playing like wimbledon, no, not at all, reyes is a pussy and cant take a foul....... Ronaldo dives too much, but i dont see him whining to the ref on every play he gets fouled on, and he does get fouled just like reyes, the difference is, he doesnt cry about it

I don't remeber Reyes going to the ref moaning either. And quite frankly you lot started moaning about Reyes. In fact you always moan about Arsenal and Arsenal players here. So stop whining for once cry baby yank.

Arsenal winger Jose Antonio Reyes has hit out of referee Mike Riley for not protecting him in The Gunners' defeat against Manchester United at the weekend.

The Spain international was on the end of some rough treatment from United stars in the 2-0 defeat, including a sliding tackle from behind in the first half from Gary Neville.

Reyes has now revealed Sunday's clash was the toughest in his young career and stated he had never been kicked so much in a football game.

The former Sevilla ace believes the turning point in the game was the penalty award to United and added Wayne Rooney did little to aid the official.

"In all my sporting life I have never received so many kicks as in Manchester," said Reyes.

"It was the hardest match I have played in England and the referee should have stopped the violence of the Manchester United players.

"I received more blows in that match than I have ever done in the Spanish League and I finished on the ground covered in bruises.

"The referee made so many mistakes and didn't perform well.

"The penalty should not have been given - but now we all know what a good actor Wayne Rooney is in the penalty area."


hey we also know what a great actor vieria is as well and what a little bitch fan you have in HTB... in the spurs game he almost cried twice....

I couldn`t give a fuck if Reyes is a whinger - I reckon we should put a stop to this pointless debate.

Anyway, the pointless England friendly tonight, then onto Old Trafford on the weekend against Charlton. WE HAVE to get 3 points against these, then we can start stringing some results together. We could really do with a good few wins in a row, and no excuses on the weekend either.

Well maybe you should stop consistently bashing Arsenal players in this thread. It's like reading redcafe where some people have gone beyond the point of bitterness after last season and the start of this.

I havent dissed any Arsenal player. I actually think Reyes is a great find by Wenger, definatley a future star for the Gooners.

the addicks are midtable, just 3 points back of our dismal 7th position in the league. after a convincing 4-0 drumming of norwich on the weekend, i truly believe that our backline must stand strong in unison. we must stop the likes of johansson (brace against city), euell and konchesky (goal each).

we could obviously do with a lot more goalscoring. rooney found his footing against the newcastle and it was because of scholesy's tenacity we got our game winning goal. soo i think he's due... cmon united
