Wayne Rooney emerged unscathed after a 23-ton builder's lorry hit his car.
The 19-year-old Manchester United and England striker was able to continue driving to training after his 4x4 Cadillac Escalade was damaged in the collision in Wilmslow, Cheshire yesterday.
A spokesman for Rooney told The Sun: 'We can confirm Wayne was involved in a collision.'

footieBalla said:well, its gonna be the battle between two of the better youth teams to play in the carling cup no? just looking at the match stats: united and the arse monkeys seem to be the only two sides who seem to field the younger, non starters right?
whatever happens, gonna be a great 90 minutes
Hahahahaha, our youth team is filled with potentials, the team that participated in the Carling Cup is our RESERVES Team....our strength in-depth is unmatched by any team, really.jogi said:Didn't see many young players in your lineup against Palace. There was no-one under 20 in your starting eleven. In fact there were 9 full internationals in that lineup, ridiculous to call it a youth team.

rigtht our first team beat arsenal....... 2-0, i think that entitles us to be able to beat anyonejogi said:Umm yeah. That's exactly what I'm saying, it was your reserves and not your youths.
As for the second part: lol
Chelsea obviously have more strength in depth, a lot of those players in your second string may be well recognised names but are pretty crap players. O'Shea, Djemba, Kleberson, Fletcher and Bellion are really shit imo, and the rest aren't much better. You may not know much about our youngsters but they beat two teams (who were at pretty much full strength) your first team couldn't beat.

Beating Arsenal means that we SHOULD be beating Portsmouth. It doesn't mean we will be. We're just not playing to our potential as often as we should.IceMan_Bergkamp said:Portsmouth?

anyway, what do you lot think of our chances of retaining the services of roy carroll?
he has rejected a deal that could extend his future at OT because he did not want to be starting on the bench. ironically, he is saying this as he strides for his 11th consecutive start for the red devils.
