I wonder why...

To be fair, there are other people on the forums who support Chelsea/Arsenal/Liverpool and don't live in the respected areas, too.

this is getting ridicuolous now.

why do manchester united cheat there way to scrape a point or a victory near enough EVERY single game they play?

i think the FA should seriously look into this, as they really shouldnt have had a penalty today

never should have had the corner or free kick against liverpool

never should have had the extra minute against blackburn

never should have been allowed saha to handle the ball and put it in the net against bolton i think i cant remeber

but every game i have seen of them its disgusting, and i think ferguson has a lot to say in the ref's decsions
Man,you are ridiculous

.Nice attempt to stir up contraversy here. So,from what I can conjure up from your post is,I understand that the refs now work for Manchester United? Now,yesterday, when Fergie was screaming at touchline for the ref to blow the whistle, why did the ref played an extra 45 seconds of extratime that nearly caused us to concede a goal? What if Spurs equalise then? "Ouh,now the refs must be working with Santini cos, they too, haven been beaten this season.Great result."

For God's sake, please think first before talking Goon. Its called passion, fans are omnipresent worldwide whenever, wherever their team plays.Thierry Henry was not born in London, and he PLAYS for Arsena, for crying out loud.Between players and fans, the passion level is unquestionably higher in the player.Geddit Goon?

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

so how about the referee when fulham played arsenal?

giving a penalty and then taking it away?

disallowing a perfectly fine goal?

if he changed his mind for the penalty because of body language, then he should have given fulham the other goal because no arsenal reacted to the supposed push on the defender.

things just eem to get blown up because its man utd.

the refs this season have been truly awful. like the tackle by hamaan yesterday, should have been straight red. the ref was stood 4 yards form it. then hendire gets a booking for jumping over the ad boards for a celebration, but if he had too book him for that he should have booked barry who jumped over with him.

but the penalty awarded to man utd was a definate pen.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Who cares if we cheated or not.
Rooney is coming back this tuesday and thats all I care about.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

i have to say the ref really was poor yesterday. utd were better but its so annoying that the ref is basically utds 12th man everytime you play them. cant really complain about the penalty but the differance is if it was the other way it wouldnt have been given in a million years (remeber defoe at ot one on one lasy year ?). every thing that was even close to being 50/50 was given utds way and it became a bit of a joke towards the end, that would be pretty disgraceful if what santini said is true.

anyway, congratulations lads you were the better team after all. i have to say its annoying we couldnt play you a few weeks ago because apart from maybe giggs, rio, ronaldo and ruud really seemed to make the differance for you. good luck catching up the goons !

phrase you dont honestly think players have more passion for the club than the fans do you ? im not trying to start up a glory hunter argument but if arsenal and man u turned properly crap the likes of henry, vieira, van nistelrooy and ronaldo wouldnt stick around and i seriously doubt the majority of the 'foreign' fans would either.

True fans stick by their teams WHATEVER. I have supported United since I was 7, I`m 25 now, and would NEVER give up my club - if we were relegated this season, I would be gutted, but I would still buy tickets next season.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Manchester United chief Sir Alex Ferguson is excited at the prospect of Wayne Rooney making his Red Devils debut next week.

The England starlet was cleared by United's medical team this week to play, after he finally overcome the foot injury which he picked up at Euro 2004.

The injury did not prevent him from making the multi-million summer move from Everton to United, but only now is he ready to pull on a red shirt.

Rooney is likely to get his first taste of action against Fenerbahce in midweek and then on Sunday he will almost certainly make his Premiership debut for United against Middlesbrough.

"It is very exciting," said Ferguson.

"He definitely has a chance of playing Tuesday and it is a toss of the coin whether he will be on the bench or he will start the game.

"He has been great in training.

"He is a quiet boy but he has not been overawed by coming here. He has been very good, excellent in fact, and we are very pleased with him.

"He is a fabulous player, two-footed, quick, aggressive, brave, good vision he has got everything. "I honestly did not realise how good in the air he was until he came here. Of course I have seen him head balls, but it was the leap he has got which surprised me."

mate i completely agree with you, i was disagreeing with phrases suggestion that the players have more passion for the club. true fans do stick by their team but im sure you realise that utd do have quite a few who would ditch them if they got relegated or even dropped out of the title challengers. i already know a few who'v started supporting chelsea instead of utd recently !!

But this a problem every successful team has. I'm sure Chelsea and Arsenal have the same problem. Every single United fan gets labeled as gloryhunters when its only a select few.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

yeah.. and i remember a few "die-hard" leeds united fans during O'Leary's reign. where are they now?

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

I take back my last line for my last post.Dosent really mean much after seeing the replies.I wanted to stress that, while these foreign players are playing for their respective teams, their commitment and passion are at an all time high, especially if they are regarded as star players. If it still dosent make sense,i'll gladly take my words back, again. :)

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

ok guys here is the scenario, do i take work off at 2:30 pm eastern to watcht the match tommorow night in england, live here in the states at 2:30, if i do this, i lose vacation hours, and i have to pay a $10 cover to watch the game at the local pub, or do i wait until the pub replays the match at 7:00 pm, knowing that someone could spoil the game and tell me the score....

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Hahaha, whatever you want to dude, for me its, waking up in the wee morning hours at 2:30 am,just to watch Ferguson unleashed Wayne Rooney.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Fenerbache striker Pierre van Hooijdonk believes Manchester United pairing Ruud van Nistelrooy and Wayne Rooney are one of the best in Europe.

United face Turkish giants Fenerbahce in the UEFA Champions League and new boy Wayne Rooney could be handed his Old Trafford debut in midweek.

The big money buy from Everton has recovered from injury and is now ready to begin his United career on Tuesday evening.

Van Hooijdonk is a big admirer of van Nistelrooy from their time together with the Dutch national side and believes he could forge an explosive partnership with Rooney.

''Rooney alongside Ruud will be a really dangerous combination, probably one of the best in this competition,'' he told The Sun.

''I can understand why all the talk in Manchester is of Rooney. I was at the European Championships with Holland and saw what he did.

''For someone so young to perform as he did in those games just shows the potential he has for the future.''

Whilst Rooney is being heralded as a star for the future, Van Hooijdonk points to his compatriot as a man who has already proved himself at the highest level.

''Yes, Rooney has a great future. But it is all about doing it on the pitch,'' continued Van Hooijdonk.

''That is why Van Nistelrooy is still the main man at Old Trafford. ''He has done it with a fabulous goals record over three seasons or more. That is what makes a legend at a club, not potential.''

Rooney/Transfer Budget

It appears that we have spent next seasons transfer budget on Wayne Rooney, plus a fortune on agents. So it is inevitable that we will sell first in January before buying. So, I just wondered what players you guys wouldnt mind seeing making an exit from Old Trafford.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

djemba2 and bellion. kleberson is shit too but hes a better backup than djemba2

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

I wouldnt shed a tear if Bellion and Djemba Djemba were sold if we then brought in a good defensive midfielder.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

what do you lot feel about liam miller? he was supposed to have been brought in to replace our keano. anyway, i feel the same about djemba and bellion

um, does anyone know what happened to ginger? his injury that is

-fb

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

miller is a star in celtic and im sure he will be 1 too if given more first team start, just like alan smith. but he's kinda small though and less tough than keano.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

This injury crisis is becoming a joke. We lose a player for every 2 we get back.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

This "We dont have money" line is a farce.Martin Gill said that we couldnt spent anymore after bringin in Heinze,Smith,Miller,Pique and Rossi into the brigade and the next thing we know,in comes Wayne Rooney,at 27 million pounds too.

im completley agree

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Fenerbahce are quoted to saying "No one cares about going to Old Trafford anymore. Man Utd are not the great team they used to be." I hope we punish them tonight for that bold statement.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

I tell you what Ninja, you'd think teams would have learnt by now, Fergie loves quotes like that to wind the team up.

I'm looking forward to tonite, but if Rooney plays I'll be made up to see his debut, I was lucky enough to see Ronaldo's debut against Bolton last season, I've seen plenty of debuts over the years but Ronaldo's different cos no-one knew just how good the kid was or had seen him play, Rooney is a bit different cos we've all seen him for everton and england, but still its gonna be special!!

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

The Guardian on the alleged dodgy goings on at the Spurs game.

'The referee Peter Walton will today inform the FA of a misunderstanding that led to him being accused of entering the Manchester United dressing room at half-time on Saturday, writes Alan Biggs.

According to Walton's match report, Tottenham had retaken the field when the officials followed them past the away dressing room only to see the players still inside and Sir Alex Ferguson framing the doorway.

Walton is understood to have stopped alongside Ferguson and shouted beyond him for the United team to get back on to the field. At this moment Jacques Santini, aggrieved about the first-half penalty, was approaching on his way back to the touchline.'

Yeah I was at Ronaldo`s debut (we all remember that cameo) but I`m gonna have to miss tonight, no cash. Man, I hope Rooney starts, too, you are gonna be in for a wild atmosphere tonight - I was there when we lost to Fenerbahce 8 years ago, their supporters make a lot of noise.

Also Vann, was you at the L`pool game this season? I fookin` missed it. Caught it on Sky Sports, though.
