What have Liverpool done under Klopp in the PL? Same as always as far as I can see, raise their game in bigger games, drop points in the smaller games. "unmatched"?

Yeah, if Klopp doesn't get ridiculously lucky that Dortmund refused to play keep ball like a mature team for 5 minutes, not sure people would be singing his praises.

Keep in mind before that turnaround he had league form of LVG, lost one final and should really have gone out of the Europa League too.

I like the man, and as I said would have had him at United, but there's some serious history re-writing going on.

Can you imagine being so optimistic for being in (2) finals and in the 7th place ? but have the best atmosphere built on emotions. Maybe the rest of us have it all wrong? Spurs heartbroken for being 2nd , Arsenal gutted for the same ole same ole. MCity not winning the CL & League. MUTD missing out of the top 4 and such.

If Liverpool wins the Europa , God help us all!

i judge him properly after his first transfers who he already signed (and will sign) arrive and with him having a pre season... what he has done? he turned the club and town around... at the beggining of the season, and for most of the last Rodgers months this team looked finished, the player massively underperform... now the team playes with belief and the players actually perform now... if it wouldn´t be injury´s to our important players like Sturridge during most of 14-15 or now Ings, Origi, Gomez, Can who had a quick recovery, Henderson... the team would be higher im sure.. PL season and the team position has nothing to do with Klopp not being able to do better, he has done best with what he has, wich is not his material anyway... take Skrtel, he has played very bad... so Klopp only has to play Toure...even if he tried with Caulker at one point... he is doing what he can with what he has...and a EL final is not bad, not bad at all, in his first half year or 7-8 months.

what are you talking about? what atmosphere isn´t build on emotions? perhaps Arsenal´s? couse you don´t even have the dream of winning a big trophy for how long now? If you look at Anfield crowd they at least can hope... that is what hope creates, unique memmories... i take that over top 4 finish without a chance of winning CL every season... Im not optimistic about our position after this crazy season... im optimistic because i know the club is in good hands, and every true supporter of LFC knows it.... Arsenal fans on the other hand fight among themselfs right now i guess.. so i´m not surprised about you being angry... and talking about atmosphere, it would be best to ask a neutral if there is something that can match Anfield on a European night...

Erm, Arsenal have won the FA Cup the last 3 seasons?

Personally I think that's more prestigious than the Europa League. At least for 'big clubs'. It's certainly a big trophy.

In terms of the trophy itself, I'd rather win the FA Cup than the Europa. The Europa is like the League Cup in that it's not only boring as fuck it's also a pain in the arse ...until you get to the Semi/Final.

The fact that it now gives you CL football tho makes winning it something to strive for over the FA Cup - if you have little chance of qualifying through the league.

But you said what he has achieved with LFC is unmatched. You're talking about what he has done, not what he could end up doing with his own transfer windows.
His record in the PL is kind of what Liverpool have been used to for years. Based on a 38 game season his current record amounts to 17 wins, 10 defeats, 10 draws (61pts)
Rodgers got 62pts (a 47% win rate to Klopp's 45%) last season and he basically never had a ST all season (a fact largely of his own making, granted).

I'm not saying you should have kept Rodgers or that Klopp isn't an improvement or that the team hasn't benefited from the change (Rodgers was a dead man walking), I think Klopp is a real coup for LFC and I expect him to push LFC up the table in the future, but to describe his impact thus far as being unmatched in the country is way OTT - 'Origi is the best young talent in the world' level OTT :P - it's basically Par for the Liverpool course

atmosphere build on emotions was wrong choice of words, When Rodgers was on, Rodgers did the same thing Liverpool lovefest and the supporters loved him. The love fest is what I`m trying to explain . Its expectations all on high! He changed , he made us believe again and that`s fine. I just never seen Liverpool supporters post such dribble Klopp being the best manager in the EPL...He wasn`t manager of the year ,so maybe I`m missing something. Then the best EPL supporters , ok ? still no one comes up w/ such dribble. What`s next fans that makes the best pies?

i strongly disagree about the boring stuff, in contrary, EL is more enjoyable than CL for the past year or two... i don´t have time to write long about this but European trophy imo is much biger achievement than domestic trophy, im talking about a cup...sure FA Cup is big, but realy is it bigger than trophy of an european competition? i don´t think so personally, it is more difficult to get EL trophy now than FA Cup...the myth about teams from east europe or Russia....no, that is what is all about or should be, to travel...ok now im writing to much so i stop :D

The fact that it now gives you CL football tho makes winning it something to strive for over the FA Cup - if you have little chance of qualifying through the league.

The fact it gives you trophy in first place and about CL football, it is a bonus tbh... you can´t go and treat the competition as a steping stone to another competition that is more lucrative... from coach point of view... i believe.

No i did not say that... His record with Liverpool means nothing because he came to the club in mid season, and what he has done , he has done without spending...so yeah i judge him after next season. You can´t compare him to anyone realy yet.

The team hasn´t benefited? Do you realy think that? of course you do if you look on the table...but the team now has winning mentality and the fans believe again and trust the manager, The team had lot of injurys and setbacks but that is no excuse as did other teams as well, but our key players realy got injured, strikers mainly and then the pressure was on Benteke to perform and he didn´t do it... + the players that underperformed are not his own players... while if you look at United for example or City, they spended milions and those players underperformed so the blame is of their coaches is on place, for Klopp it is not.

The team is with many changes ahead in terms of squad adjustment.. again i never said that his impact is unmatched, so please read my previous message again ;)

my fault sorry, the unmatched part was about the atmosphere during the games in european competitions, as a reflection of his mentality to the fans... it was not about the coach himself

I also prefer the Euro League to the FA Cup (by very far).
Most Good teams don't take the FA Cup serious.
I know most English clubs don't take the Euro League serious, but loods of other clubs do.

Also think Klopp made Liverpool much better.

Obviously don't agree about Benteke. I admit something must have happened because Klopp already wanted Benteke at Dortmund and now he never is first choice. But i have a feelings that Bentke goal per minutes ratio is good.

Maybe it's best for Benteke that he leaves Liverpool but i still think he's much better than Lukaku.

he is that type of player who you know you will regret getting rid...

but i trust Klopp and with Ings and Origi on form, with Luxury of having healthy Sturridge and perhaps another striker...Gotze? and playing Firino there possibly... we should be fine without Benteke..

i think the club will cash in on him... i just hope he will move to a different league, Atlético was linked with him..

What if the players just go out and have some fun tomorrow? Screw the philosophy and LVG, play like it's the last match of the season?

Ha - for my Mum's 65th my dad flew her over for today's match.Lifelong fan, never been to OT. Staying at hotel football and all.

Ooops.

Obviously safety first, but also hope whoever is responsible gets some serious jail time.

Knowing United I doubt we'll get a refund either :(

Absolutely, my Mum is saying the police have been incredibly professional - but there are like 75000 people in the parking lot below the hotel which is madness. Hopefully no crushes etc. I think they've done a great job at keeping people calm.

That is bad luck for your mum, beach.

Indeed, Dad too - he's never been either ;)

But from what is being said on Twitter, it looks like it's an actual threat, so I'm just relieved. Unlucky but the police have been excellent and deserve praise.

Doesn't bode well for the summer though does it?

Yep, can't imagine anyone is going to compensate folks like us who saved up for ages to come across to England, stay in Hotel Football and watch the match.

Sigh.

Obviously could be worse and I'm glad it wasn't a real threat, but it's pretty poor stuff. Not the club's fault per se.

I can't imagine any recognise faces on Tuesday when the final is at the weekend. Im glad no one was hurt and the way it was handle is reassuring \0/.

So sorry for your parents, beach.

Thanks - in greater world perspective doesn't really matter and they're getting a stadium tour today, so that's cool. Maybe they'll find another package!

Re: Tuesday, LVG is in a pickle. If we lose, we could have to play really early Europa League qualifiers. But obviously we need players up for hte FA Cup final. Personally, I think Tuesday -> Sunday should be fine for these elite athletes.

Well thankfully we didn't end up having to worry about that but fkin hell am I gutted for big Dave for missing out on the golden glove bc of that stupid own goal. At least our defense has been pretty solid and then we can have our goalie get some recognition and we f it up with an own goal. Typical. We better win that FA Cup or this season has truly been a complete fail. At least Martial and Rashford are some amazing bright spots for us.

Btw feck off LVG by saying expectations are too high and that we re in transition. I can't buy that bull for a fourth year (Moyes before it)

To say expectations are too high is horrible when you are the manager of Man Utd. As the biggest club (economically and arguable in fan-base numbers) in England, Top 4 should be a minimum expectation, and then to build up for championship. If this is too high of an expectation for LVG, then he should not be the manager of this team.

You can't sell being the big club as they do and then say that being in top 4 is too high of an expectation!

I'm sorry if I'm ranting...but I am very upset at LVG, with the way we play and the results provided...I don't see the bright-side...
