Torres is jealous now.

Gotta love RvP. Fails to score on some of the arguably easiest chances yet puts it in from the most ddifficult of passes and angles. Very frustrating at times!

agree. that one was way, way worse. he was in full control against an open goal.

btw, valencia back to good old valencia we used to know? I'd LUV it if it's true.

Sadly I don't think so. He was marginally better against Bayer, but still not at the 11/12 season level. Just wish he'd take his full back on more often - he's still a physical beast, but seems to lack the confidence. Hopefully the goal will help!

I thought he looked much better. At his best he's very instinctive and doesn't dally on the ball anywhere near as much as throughout last season.

Whether it's a one-off performance or him returning to his best we'll have to wait and see.

Possibly, still I don't think he offers enough though, especially compared to Nani.

The left spot is made for someone like Januzaj or Kagawa with Evra overlapping anyway.

For as much complaining as there's been about our lack of transfer activity we sure seem to have a bit of a luxury problem at times. Guess that puts things in perspective a bit.
After all: how many teams would be upset if they had to pick one of the players listed above?

P. S. W Yaya back and Aguero seemingly being in form I hope Fellaini and Rooney have a great game on Sunday. RvP I'm not too worried about atm even tho he seems a bit off. I'd like to see him behind Rooney again against City.

Ay we have great options but if were honest we do lack 'world class' talents in certain areas such as midfield and on the wings.

The Ronaldo dream died but I think Januzaj has real potential to develop into top talent for that position but we still lack that real quality addition to centre of midfield.

along with the fact we have an aging defence (Vidic/Rio) and strikeforce too (Van Persie) who are considered our world class players who will need replacing.

Should be a tight match. I'll give the edge to City as it's at the Etihad (despite last season's result) but could be a draw too. Don't think it's too important at this stage of the season.

To be honest, it's pretty crap to have all these big matches before teams have settled from the summer. I think City will be a very different beast once they sort out how to use their spending spree properly. Jovetic is class, as is Navas, but neither are properly implemented yet. Similar with us and Fellaini and working in Rooney and RVP together.

But, finally, we're reaching that magical point I mentioned in the summer - if we're in touching distance after the first 5 matches (Chelsea, LFC Away, City Away, Swans Away) then we should be in good stead. And fingers crossed we get some kind of points on Sunday, that's where we'll be.

Moyes needs time. This is the single biggest change United have made in the last 30 years. It's going to take a while, and we should stick with him.

Losing at the Etihad is not something new to us, even before City won the lottery. We've had the hardest opening 5 games I've ever seen us go through - now is finally a chance for Moyes to start stringing together some momentum.

We should have tried harder to nick something from the Chelsea match, but aside from that, losing at Anfield and the Emirates is pretty par for our seasons.

Credit to City btw, you were excellent today - both up for it and technically superior.
