Manchester United Thread

Very debatable penalty, no ?
Might be a foul (is it really ?), but if there was somethin it started outside the box. Could aswell have been a second yellow for Young imo...

In my opinion, it was a definite foul and a red, but never a penalty. Dikgacoi pulled Young with his arm and denied a clear 1 on 1 chance but it was outside the box.

Anyway, hope to see at least one of Fellaini, Zaha and Januzaj play today!

The thread has been invaded! :P

Was outside the box for sure, referee clearly didn't see it being so far away, hence taking so long to make the decision (Guessing consulting with the assistant, who was also too far away).

Bad decision and has ruined the contest, wasn't a dive though, first one from Young wasn't even debatable, his tendency to do this pisses me (and most United fans) off.

Januzaj, what a breath of fresh air he was.

Some young players just have a presence about them immediately, Ronaldo, Pogba and now Januzaj.

W a fit Nani, Januzaj, Rooney, Fellaini and Kagawa we have the potential and depth to be drool worthy. Still have high hopes for Zaha as well.
The two Belgians especially could provide that missing spark to ignite our forwards.

That was alright.

Definitely wasn't a penalty but it was a foul and last man which means a red card was fine.

The Belgium duo really took us up a gear in the 2nd half, looked far better once Januzaj and Fellaini were on.

definitely excited about seeing those two more often, why wasn't Nani in the squad? (Kagawa was ill by the way)

Wouldn't be surprised to see Nani start mid-week, I think Moyes is just trying to rotate the players a little, would make sense in a game like this.

Can't find any quotes from Moyes though.

Young needs to be shot out of a cannon as far away from Old Trafford as possible.

Not just his diving but the fact that he failed to create anything against 10 men and then was completely shown up by Januzaj who came on and showed him how he should have been playing.

I'm baffled why SAF and Moyes now don't see how useless some of the players we field every week are, as opposed to others who are neglected and benched all the time.

Anderson was pathetic and Young isn't good enough for such a big club. I really liked when played for Villa, but now the diving is the only thing that he "provides"...

it´s not right to compare Januzaj vs. Young, the match was in final minutes when Adnan came on.. he was good, but Young basicly created the penalty.. he dived ok, that was good decision, but imo the red was to harsh and it should have been a yellow only.. United played better match when Januzaj and Fellaini came on... but they win despite not playing best match so who cares..

Definitely a foul and then the ref has no choice. I thought FIFA changed that rule this year, they really should do. Ridiculous to concede a pen and lose a man.

Young is terrible. But. Offered more on the left than gigs so ill take it.

We were pretty good against a team that essentially played a 6-3-1. Palace had 0 shots on target and their first corner was in the 92nd minute. Disappointed by holloway s approach tbh.

what about Dwight Gayle chance? i thought that could be a goal easy.. anyway i think despite the fact they were a man down, they played good game especially in the second half before Rooney´s free kick.. United were a different team with Fellaini... good buy imo.

+ Anderson was worse than Young or equally bad if you like.. Januzaj is a top talent, future superstar.

That was it. Only real attempt in 45 minutes of having 11 on 11. Could well hav escored - but even that was from a long ball. Great first touch though, merked Ferdinand.

It's rare a team playing against Anderson in the middle only manages one attempt on goal in the first half.

Wow props to Moyes. Basically came out and said:

Young's dive was disgraceful and he doesn't want to see it again
It's a really harsh sending off, and he wishes the rule wasn't in place

It's the anti-Ferguson!

"Januzaj is a highly rated young Belgian here at United"

In my head all I heard was LFC ranting "he's actually Albanian!"

well done son :D He's Albanian from Kosovo :P

International career

In June 2013, Marc Van Geersom, former coach of the Belgium U-18 and U-19, has declared that Januzaj has several times refused a call up of Belgium, since he prefers to play for Albania.[7][8]
Albania's coach, Gianni De Biasi declared on 12 August 2013 that Januzaj is a great talent, and that he and the Albanian federation are waiting for the right moment to talk to him and to call him up for the Albanian national side.[9]
The Football Federation of Kosovo have said that they respect Januzaj’s right to decide his international future and that it is not fair to expect a player to represent a nation that cannot play competitive football.[10]
Belgian coach Marc Wilmots has plans to speak to Adnan about his international future. "I will soon do it and it is up to him to decide. Januzaj has never played for the Rode Duivels. Not even for the youth teams. He has always refused." He also insisted that he will not ask new teammate Marouane Fellaini to persuade him. "I do not ask Marouane to influence him," he added. "That is absolutely not his job." [11]

Feeling kind of sad for Zaha yesterday, the lads needs some minutes and I'm sure he was motivated against Palace. Maybe Moyes will start him (and Nani!) against Bayer 04 on Champions League Tuesday. Also I guess Anderson was a rotation option and we will see Fellaini or Cleverley starting.

Also, the Spanish and German media proclaiming that Ronnie renewed is contract with Real.

Well I think MUTd can move on and forget about your past prince 'Ronaldo'

"Manchester United is the past. Real Madrid is now my home," he said. "I hope that I'm here until I retire. This is a great club."

sorry YoungGunUK , IT ain`t going to happen :P
