Anyone judging Van Persie after 20 minute cameo yet?

United poor tonight by their standards, what a player Kagawa will be though..

RvP didn't get a chance, so no judgement passed, I just don't like him.
I can't get my head around it, he's an arsenal player.. That's all I can see..

That says it all about our performance... messed up.

On a more serious note, I can see Kagawa being one of the best players for us, and Rooney HAS to improve his game. Cleverley looked pretty good as well, almost no misplaced passes.

Same, he was brilliant.. Things changed when he left.. And I didn't like it..

Yup. I think it was Gary Neville who was saying that training with Quieroz was ridiculously well run and thorough. We haven't looked as solid defensively since he left.

Plus, isn't he unemployed at the moment?

Apparently that picture of Fergie asking Wenger for his money back for RvP isn't legit. Guess that means Carlos isn't back either, sorry.

welbeck is a division 5 player. slow, no left foot, heavy touches, cant control. how is he playin for man united?

and why chicharito not even on bench, is he on his way or he injured?

kagawa was pretty good for what little he had to work with, de gea kept it from being an embarrassment. was nice to see vidic back though, even if he couldn't do much against that mountain

Everyone but Fergie seems to know that Utd's CM is pretty crappy and easily dominated. Cleverley, Scholes and Carrick is a poor pool of CMs for a top side.

As for the defense, you can't keep playing the "unlucky" card. Truth is you have a bunch of Darren Andertons back there.

RVP = Excellent player but represents a poor transfer policy by the manager.

Fergie's senile

wow, realy didn´t expect this performance by United, i didn´t knew about so many injured players..

i think Everton played very well..they certainly look more solid in midfield and with Fellaini, all areal battles were won.. he was the difference today, together with amazing performance by Jagielka..

De Gea looks good + Kagawa as well... but i think United after tonight will buy a new CM-DM player..

Stop trolling mate.

This.

Some encouraging signs. Kagawa looks settled already. Cleverley is linking up well with him too. Very fast and smart those two.

Eventually our CBs will be fit, and we can stick Carrick back where he belongs. I'm not judging us til then.

Were clearly winning the Champions League and League after today, its the opposite of 07/08 with the defence being fucked rather than upfront.

are tactics got fucked once Rio got pulled out, we lost that quality at CB, which meant we lost the composure of Carrick in midfield.

A lot of rust out their, Rooney was terrible first half, Scholes struggled at first also.

Stop trolling mate.

So Utd have good options in CM and aren't easily dominated?

Utd's defence isn't full of injury prone players?

Spending 24m and 200-250k a week on a striker when the above is clearly obvious, and has been for quite sometime, doesn't represent a bad transfer policy?

Trolling? whatever you say

Don't talk about something which easily makes your club a hypocrite, transfer policies? By a Manchester City fan? Spending multi-millions on a player who isn't completely needed? Rodwell ring a bell?

Anyway.

We have almost successfully obtained a new LB in Buttner who though not incredible adds competition, as was pointed out to me. We have options at CB, in Wootton for example, but Fergie made a bad choice in trying Carrick out for a game. As I see it he can't help that a risk didn't pay off, and managers need to take risks.

I have said I would like a new CB; but United have (when fit and they will be by the end of the month) Ferdinand, Vidic, Jones, Smalling, Wootton and Evans so we don't need to spend out millions on a new player there.
Jones and Smalling can also play RB where we have Rafael who would have started but because of the Olympics was not completely fit (I imagine).

In CM every one of us on here has agreed we need a new player, preferably a destructive player.
Yet we look set to follow the false rumour of Kaka, and make a loan bid. Though not ideal it is another choice.

Saying that our current CM options are: Anderson, Kagawa, Cleverley, Scholes, Carrick, Tunnicliffe and (soon) Fletcher. Hardly a bad set of options? None of them admittedly are Yaya Toure, Cheikh Tiote or Lassana Diarra; but Kagawa is proving to be the ideal playmaker and with Kaka we would have plenty of creativity.

We didn't need RvP, truthfully, I didn't want to see him in a United shirt. I stil look at him and see a Arsenal player and nothing else.
But what we did need is a player who can score goals regularly (though I'm sceptical of his ability to stay fut and do this) because Rooney isn't an out and out goalscorer even if we hope and pray that he is.

What happened to your lot last night? wasnt expecting the Toffees to play that well and that easily against you?

Sure they did lump the ball up to Fellaini a lot but their overall play was more deadly than yours. Been a long time since the Toon got off to a better start than the Red Devils!

What is up with Rooney BTW? His touches last night were appalling!

David De Gea is the best keeper in the league. Without him we'd have been absolutely battered.

As it was, we were in everything other than scoreline. I've lost faith that we'll ever have a fit squad, the fitness team and the training regime are so wrong it's unbelievable and yet nothing is done about it. Can't say we're well stocked for defenders if they're all injured and the less said about the age old new midfielder issue the better.

Rooney was shocking last night as well, don't know why we bother playing him against Everton because he never has a good game against them. RvP couldn't start though because he's had no pre-season to speak of.

At least Kagawa looked brilliant, such a good player to watch and so comfortable on the ball.

Yeah im not going to panic about that game at all, so much rust in a lot of attacking players and Ferdinands injury through a big monkey wrench into the works, maybe if it had been a month down the road with the attacking players all being fit and on form we'd have sneaked away with a win or draw.

Kagawa was probably our best player and even then he can play much better, hopefully in situations like that he can demand the ball to try to do something instead of our mundane 'outwide' 'back inside play'.

if man utd are so bad how come manchester city could only win the league on goal difference despite spending hundred of millions of pound on new players??

and I dont ever see you post in Man City thread, why is this?

We definitely need to adapt to having someone like Kagawa in the side, there were moments where he'd have his back to a defender in a decent position, but because he was marked we wouldn't use him, but he's more than capable of doing something to get some space in those positions, as Gary Neville said it's not a crime to pass to marked player.

We had 69% of possession and created very little, with our crossing being particularly poor.

Maybe Godotelli is a Glory Hunter now that City have won the league?

This is the exact reason I am opposed to the putting the shares for sale!
Any Tom dick or Harry can pop up and own some of United and all have a chance to expand their ownership from within. Since when did money mean so much, United will sell their soul if Glazier keeps coming up with these money making schemes. I mean really he acts like Del Boy Trotter,
"This week Fergie we will sell the naming rights to OT, and by this time next year we will be Premer League Champions"
It's basically what they think will happen, I mean come on, it's rodiculous! So ridiculous I can't even spell the word!
