Manchester United Thread

I wonder if this is the same person. Who sold out on the jews,(wwII) working for the nazi and claim he didnt know at the time at 13yrs old. If, so he is not a person I want even visiting my club much less having his hands on it. Red devil doesnt mean running w the devil or does it.

look dude you need to get your facts straight, a straight up lie by fox news. He is actually jewish himself. Thats a long disproven ridiculous crap.

This is the exact reason I am opposed to the putting the shares for sale!
Any Tom dick or Harry can pop up and own some of United and all have a chance to expand their ownership from within. Since when did money mean so much, United will sell their soul if Glazier keeps coming up with these money making schemes. I mean really he acts like Del Boy Trotter,
"This week Fergie we will sell the naming rights to OT, and by this time next year we will be Premer League Champions"
It's basically what they think will happen, I mean come on, it's rodiculous! So ridiculous I can't even spell the word!

mate if united doesnt make money then they dont compete... thats pretty obvious..

I didn`t get that from Fox News  Who are you? You think my sources are from your "Plan Book" .

You should know I don`t think like you by now. What`s sweet to you is bitter to me. All I`m saying is this bloke has a dodgy history he`s into politics BS* No room for football. I don`t want this sort in my league!!

If, you`re going to correct me, then do it! Don`t say daft things like ,He`s jewish too, they wouldn`t do that to each other. Newsflash, guess who was selling slaves ? Their own ppl! (source: Gladiator ) :P

glen beck who was on fox news made that shit up. Im pretty sure i did correct you cause what you stated is a blatant lie. Look man I got no problem with you. I do have a problem throwing out ridiculous conspiracy theories to prove a position.

This is the problem I have with you. You don`t bother to read what I said in full. You grab 1-2 details only and run off. I told you that Fox News is not my source in getting my information. Then , You said "Glen Beck ". I had to google him to know what he does. Then , to find out he`s a right winger and he has a show on Fox News Ch. . I feel like I`m fishing in a piss bowl and there`s never really been any fishes in it and I still keep casting away. Cheers :COAT:

Mutd will be better off w/o having Soro`s near their club ! Glazers are playing a dangerous game.

Don't talk about something which easily makes your club a hypocrite, transfer policies? By a Manchester City fan? Spending multi-millions on a player who isn't completely needed? Rodwell ring a bell?

Anyway.

We have almost successfully obtained a new LB in Buttner who though not incredible adds competition, as was pointed out to me. We have options at CB, in Wootton for example, but Fergie made a bad choice in trying Carrick out for a game. As I see it he can't help that a risk didn't pay off, and managers need to take risks.

I have said I would like a new CB; but United have (when fit and they will be by the end of the month) Ferdinand, Vidic, Jones, Smalling, Wootton and Evans so we don't need to spend out millions on a new player there.
Jones and Smalling can also play RB where we have Rafael who would have started but because of the Olympics was not completely fit (I imagine).

In CM every one of us on here has agreed we need a new player, preferably a destructive player.
Yet we look set to follow the false rumour of Kaka, and make a loan bid. Though not ideal it is another choice.

Saying that our current CM options are: Anderson, Kagawa, Cleverley, Scholes, Carrick, Tunnicliffe and (soon) Fletcher. Hardly a bad set of options? None of them admittedly are Yaya Toure, Cheikh Tiote or Lassana Diarra; but Kagawa is proving to be the ideal playmaker and with Kaka we would have plenty of creativity.

We didn't need RvP, truthfully, I didn't want to see him in a United shirt. I stil look at him and see a Arsenal player and nothing else.
But what we did need is a player who can score goals regularly (though I'm sceptical of his ability to stay fut and do this) because Rooney isn't an out and out goalscorer even if we hope and pray that he is.

Hypocrite? I don't think you understand the term.

City need more athleticism in CM to help cover for when Yaya is unavailble. Whether or not Rodwell will be a success is unknown but CM is a position we need to strenghten (CB and out wide also)

Fergie has splurged a large chunk of his budget on a striker when his problems lie elsewhere. It's not exactly a good transfer policy. Conceding goals and posession in midfield was the problem, not scoring goals.

if man utd are so bad how come manchester city could only win the league on goal difference despite spending hundred of millions of pound on new players??

and I dont ever see you post in Man City thread, why is this?

Never said Utd are bad. Just that there are obvious weaknesses which your manager has ignored.

Seems I'd be talking to myself. I'm not here often enough to do that I'm afraid.

Maybe Godotelli is a Glory Hunter now that City have won the league?

Or maybe not. Maybe I've been a season ticket holder since before I could shit by myself

Were clearly winning the Champions League and League after today, its the opposite of 07/08 with the defence being fucked rather than upfront.

are tactics got fucked once Rio got pulled out, we lost that quality at CB, which meant we lost the composure of Carrick in midfield.

A lot of rust out their, Rooney was terrible first half, Scholes struggled at first also.

This.

I do not know why aside of fitness problems, Sir Alex refuse to play Rafael at RB. He would have been a better choice than Valencia, no disrespect to his skills but Tony V is does not defend and attack well as a proper RB.

Another poor choice is also Carrick in CB.I am also questioning why Vidic, probably our strongest player in the team, did not man mark Fellaini for that goal? Its insane! Carrick was bundled over effortlessly by the big belgian! It is so frustrating for us fans to see obvious mistakes but yet not being implemented by Sir Alex.

I really hope we have a proper CB and play Rafael for Fulham.
Playing at home and winning is exactly what we need next.

I really would want to see Buttner instead of Evra on left back. Just because I found that Evra performances get WORSE each year. :/

We also should give a run out to one of our youth defenders. Having Vidic in defense would help a lot.

What we missed in Everton game is also natural defensive midfielder. Guess who was best on this pos last year? Carrick. He should have played on Scholes position. Not in defense.

However, we don't have rights to decide on squad chosen, so we will just watch what Ferguson does now.

We will never sell Nani.
At least not in this window.
Even so, it would be only for crazy money.
We still need Nani because among our set of wingers, he is the best.

Delighted for Danny Welbeck for his integrity and professionalism.
Welbeck and Henriquez for the future!

The reason Valencia started over Rafael was probably due to how big the Everton team were compared to us, it made sense to go with a more physical player I guess.

No other CB's were fit so Carrick was out of nessesity than choice, its not really a good idea for youngster to get a run out in these high pressure situations (look at Jenkinson 8-2)

The corner kind of is the same point they have a much bigger team and so many threats compared to us, Vidic was marking Distin who is just as good as Fellaini.

Great news on Welbeck, hopefully Nani soon follows :ANX:

If Nani does leave I can't see it being Russia.

There is a rumour going around that we are gonna sign Phillipe Mexes on loan.I think we were hot favourites to sign him when he was still at Auxerre back then. Story has it that Sir Alex even gave him a United jersey with his name and number 5 as a gift for his birthday.

I personally like Mexes for his elegance and composure...Always liked a centre half with those qualities. A loan deal wouldnt hurt anyone considering our mini crisis in defence now. Hope Milan is willing to deal.

Interesting. Not sure we need Mexes once Evans et al are fit. Need Jones, Smalling and Jonny to get games.

Welbeck has signed a new deal, thank the lord for that. He's only going to get better our Danny...

Fuck no. Not Mexes. He had great perspectives to be great defender, but now he is absolute rubbish and people want him out of club! (in Italy).

Our younger players can do better <lol>.

I have noticed new Man City fans come out of woodwork last few weeks with this....

I remember when City were lucky to get stadium three quarters full just a few years ago.

Now everyone has always been a season ticket holder...

And Man Utd are not 'my team'. I have just one love but like you, no-one visit Inter thread :(

Nani is a confusing player. He is technically superb - alongside Scholes as the best in the United dressing room. He's also physically strong, and works hard for the team.

But about 50% of the time he's absolutely useless on the pitch. The other 50% of the time he's our most dangerous player.

All that taken into account,he's moving into his best years now and is a senior member of the squad. And he is about 99x better than Ashley Young. He's going nowhere.

The speculation stems from papers like the The Sun, reporting old news (Nani's contract negotiations stallig) and blowing new news (Fergie dropping him, after a pathetic display vs Everton) and then the spread via Social Media.. It's nothing, he will stay all Fergie has said that is new was "We will pick negotiations next Summer" and as for selling he said "we would only consider stupid money"

0 <-- the number of games we won last season when going behind in the league.

That worries me more than signings, transfers or injuries. That is shocking.

Aye, I noticed how poor we were at recovering from going behind last season, although I didn't think it was that bad!

Wonder if that's a knock-on effect from the 6-1 defeat when we threw too many men forward and City scored three in injury-time. The side doesn't seem to force the issue enough when behind since that defeat, the lacklustre "response" to going a goal behind at the Etihad typified this.

How do you know that they're "new Man City fans"?

I don't care whether you believe me or not.

You remember incorrectly. That or your maths is abysmal. At Eastlands our avg attendances have hovered between 42,000 and 48,000. It dipped in the Pearce 'era' to 42k but before and afer that it was and is higher. 4000/6000 is not 1/4 of 48,000.

Quite possibly. I dug a little bit more, we went behind 7 times, our record was then W:0 D:2 L:5

That's woeful.

This.

And about comebacks...its either we have lost the mettle to do so or a more realistic reason is...opposing teams are more aware of our ability to always come back from the dead to steal a point or to seal a win.
