Re: Manchester United Champions Thread!!!19!!!!!

Suarez know releasing a statement that "He's Sorry", Meh bullshit really. Liverpool really should get rid of him.

That's it!

I am not a fan of this cunt Suarez from the beginning, an incident from the last WC (handball) just confirmed me in my belief and recent events just proved I am right.

i agree it´s bullshit, he has nothing to be sorry for..

he had his 8 match ban and he feels he is inocent, why should the club get rid of him??

just to remind you, you didn´t get rid of this "crazy" players after their more worse incidents:

sorry but what is bad about preventing a ball hitting the net with hands in last minutes of a match? he did what any players in this situation would do to at least keep the hopes alive...then it´s Ghana´s fault they couldn´t score from that Penalty...not Suarez fault...

i realy don´t know why you call him cunt for this ?!

Re: Manchester United Champions Thread!!!19!!!!!

Some people just doesn't understand that a player has to make a foul if it will help his team in the future. If we consider this point of view, a "tactical foul" in the middle of the field or a shirt-grabbing foul from the back when a player is facing the keeper makes the infractor a cunt too, even when those 2 situations happens more often than suarez's one.

Anyhow, Lucho should shut up and play football instead of making such a big deal of it by trying to finish like the "good one" of an already punished situation. Both Suárez and Evra are screwing up everything by making a drama of that fight.

Sorry for this offtopic, as Wilkmyster said...

Not our problem.

Re: Manchester United Champions Thread!!!19!!!!!

I love how people are bringing up the Cantona incident as if it's a worthy argument. He was racially abused & reacted in a way that a lot of people would.
We didn't make excuses for him, just accepted the punishment & moved on.

Evra on the other hand, reported it (so did "the right thing"), and still he gets treated as the criminal. Maybe he shouldn't have done what he did at the end of the game, although he clearly told the ref what he was doing & wasn't stopped. In the post match interview it was mentioned to SAF, and he admitted that it was wrong of Evra to do it.

Suarez could have avoided the entire shit storm by holding his hands up & apologizing as soon as the row started (something along the lines of "I didn't realise it was wrong over here, and will learn from it"). Then there would have been no problem, no 8 game ban, and no lynching from fans & media.

Sadly I can't it ending anytime soon, which is a shame as it detracts from the main thing - football!

Re: Manchester United Champions Thread!!!19!!!!!

Half season tickets are £204 apparently.

6 home games left, works out at £34 a game. Really not bad at all.

Shame I don't have £204...

Agree on that almost all, but.. you can´t deny there is evidence for Evra using the N word in past english and having no problem to do so, while Suarez agreed he told him "negrito" wich in spanish speaking countrys - in Urugay is not considered the same as if he told him n....r in England. Evra reacted good to respond to racism, but that doesn´t mean Suarez is racist.. FA did mistake with the 8 match ban, and by the fact they didn´t look on suarez evidence or intention, only to Evras words.. i personaly have problem to belive him he was offended by it so much he had to report in in French TV or made it public.. I would say he could if Suarez said something similar to what Terry said to A. Ferdinand...but not in case he is from totally different culture and Evra was more angry that he outplayed him than he was sad becouse someone caled him negrito..

Evra himself is offended by word he has no problem to use alone?? i don´t buy that sorry.

This case has less to do with actuall racism than people think.. neutrals think all LFC fans are agree to racism and call Suarez racist, his reputation in england is basicly destroyed becouse of FA ban, wich imho was not fair, becouse no real court would sentence someone without listening to the other side evidence and if they would, not for 8 matches becouse Terry for example was in much bigger trouble and he get away with it..

For me a person no matter how guilty he is, he is not guilty untill proven guilt, that´s how it works even for a murderer...

This thing has more to do with making rift inside the Liverpool structure, and basicly destroying players career, then after the club back his player for defending him not being racist (he alone is from mixed race family ffs) the other accuse the club by making mistake and being subjective... But those who are subjective are FA with their ban..

I have absolutely no hate for United and their fans.. trust me.. what pisses me off is the fact how this case was unfair to the other player and how the FA react to even worse things in past.. not to mention the media will now have happy days and they wont stop untill the player is gone..

your manager didn´t help at all with his comments as well...

Re: Manchester United Champions Thread!!!19!!!!!

look i don´t say suarez is not guilty of racist remarks.. but only the two players know what was going on there + i´m more than sure the FA punishment was to harsh on him. And the player learned his mistake pretty well.

But why should he appologise for not wanting to shake his hand if he feels the ban was to harsh and it DID ruined his reputation..? why should he shake the hands or even promiss this kind of things...? would you do it? only if you were less stubborn as Suarez, maybe...

All i say is that on field such things might happend a lot everyday.. i´m not saying it´s wrong but usually racism is only happening towards black players or reported as this..not the other way...

and a lot of fans are racist or having realy bad remarks or singing songs that hurt much more people and nobody is doing anything with it... Once an individual does this, it´s different story...

and not every time even this people are punished equally..

Re: Manchester United Champions Thread!!!19!!!!!

Why should he apologise?

To draw a line under the whole sorry affair and get on with the season would be one idea.

Should've been done in the first to avoid all the shite that's happened since.

Re: Manchester United Champions Thread!!!19!!!!!

So swiftly moving on.

Thursday should be interesting, will see first hand how good Eriksson is. Im guessing were playing on Sunday in terms of the league, the EL has definitely made our fixtures look more awkward so we'll need to rotate quite a bit.

Re: Manchester United Champions Thread!!!19!!!!!

Really not sure what I want from the Europa League. On the one hand we're in it, so we might as well try to win it, but on the other hand it might effect our league run, but then we're usually in the Champions League anyway I suppose.

Obviously there's a great possibility even if we're knocked out of the EL and get to focus on the League, we won't win anyway.

Regardless of our ambition, I'd still like us to give our most talented youngsters some game time, can't think of any better time to give them European experience. I know people are having a good laugh at us appearing on Channel 5, but i'm really looking forward to a historic match vs Ajax actually.

Also, sell Scholes for not finishing this move, he's useless:

Re: Manchester United Champions Thread!!!19!!!!!

Yeah, no excuses if Fergie doesn't go balls out. Saturday->Thursday is plenty of rest for our first team, and they then don't play again until Wednesday.

Given how crap and disjointed the teams Fergie has sent out so far in Europe, I want to see the same XI as Saturday get a result and then led the kids be blooded next week if we can afford hte luxury. I see no reason to give Anderson/Park/Berbatov/Young etc game time in the first leg.

Re: Manchester United Champions Thread!!!19!!!!!

I think it's a pretty good position really, we'll want to win it but if it get's a bit too close to call we should swing in favour of the League fixture while we would probably waver both ways with the Champions League.

*Checks teams left in the Competition* I mean Man City, Valencia and Athletico seem the only real competition if we really go for it and just went to see the schedule only the 2nd leg Semi Final seems tricky with the massive game at Eastlands so we should really be looking to atleast make the Semi's.

Re: Manchester United Champions Thread!!!19!!!!!

Poor Pipa, that argument was the only thing Liverpool had the chance of winning this season.

I stand by what i think the same way you stand by what you think.. in the end it´s not even worth to try to argue.. i guess it never was with Ferguson Asotiation...

Re: Manchester United Champions Thread!!!19!!!!!

Just imagine it was not Suarez but let´s say Spearing or Shelvey in that incident.. it would take about 5 minutes for everyone to care about... For the FA, i bet the ban would be much less... for the media - maybe few short articles, for your manager - he would certainly not comment that this players should ever play for our club, and for the player themselfs, maybe not as stubborn as Suarez, they would shake Evra´s hand...

If it had been a player less integral to LFC we all know they would have been thrown under the bus by the club. As per many LFC fans saying this when the deplorable statements came out of official channels accusing Evra and so forth. A common line was 'if this was Poulsen he'd be gone already'.

As for your Ferguson Association quip - wow, I see what you've done there. Very witty.

I hope LFC do win the Carling Cup this weekend just so they can move the f*ck on. But I fear knowing the way things have gone so far that they'll win the match, take off their jerseys to show them all wearing the Suarez shit underneath...

Re: Manchester United Champions Thread!!!19!!!!!

szejkk i´m not on Suarez side, i admit the club i support made big mistakes in some official statements but the bigest mistake was not to investigate the whole case in the way this important matter deserves.. We underestimated this whole thing and the media tear the Suarez apart.. Nobody realy knows what went between the two players, but given the player status and quality, of course media will drag this and make this bigger than it probably deserves just to sell papers.. In the end this could have been sorted between players - FA or real court who would not look on the statement of one player (Evra) but also look on the other side rights and evidence and actuall prove.. Even if Suarez was punished by using spanish term that Evra was offended by, i doubt it would lead to such ban and also media coverage as it did.. The managers and other had nothing to say to this except backing their own players and listen to what court has to say. I don´t want to argue with United or their fans.. i know it´s hard to believe but i don´t care about United, i don´t mind them winning league - of course it would not be good for the club, but i support LFC for totally different reasons than just winning or sporting reasons.. for me LFC is like first love... you can´t ever forget about your first love, it always stayes with you no matter what..

so please don´t think i try to win argument or something..what i realy realy want is for all United fans also try to look on this whole cause from the view point of a spanish speaking player from different culture who said something obviously but who also is a top player that is well respected elswhere and whose career is now in doubt, maybe it is becouse of his nature and passion for the game..but probably that´s where it ends for him, on the field.. he is not a murderer, racist neither a bad person.. but what the whole cause did is to portrait Suarez just as that everywhere..

Racism is a word, it´s only a word that has difficult explanation, once a player or person is racist it doens´t need to be described by words, but mostly it shows by actions.. Who ever didn´t say in rage words he didn´t meant doesn´t exist. For me on field it´s like battle and sometimes people say realy stupid things but in reality they don´t have to show it... I ask myself what is realy bad, to punish people for saying something or to actually teach the people why is the thing wrong? Words are just words, they stay within you depending on how kind of person you are and how much you care...but if someone harms you physically it´s something that harms you for very long time if not forever..

What i´m saying is that FA should realy educate every player in the league the same way and make lectures what is allowed and what´s not.. where to draw the line to say soemthing is a crime and soemthing is not...

I think that fans of PSV and Ghana may have something to say about that sweeping generalisation.
Didn't Suarez serve a 7 match ban in Holland for biting an opponent Before LFC signed him?
His comments on the biting incident
“No, I do not regret what happened. Normally I always keep calm but I didn’t … I’m a little tired. This week I had to travel a lot.”

But carry on and convince yourself Fergie's behind it all.

Well he is a freak, he knows how to behave to not get in to trouble next time.. i can´t comment his Ajax days, all i know his farawell from Ajax was something i only see in case big teams sign superstars...

about the Ghana hand...i don´t even know why people give him stick for that... he did the only thing possible to prevent his country to be eliminated, he got punished by red card for that.. actually not being a LFC player that time i was admiring his passion and goal keeping skills and i remember wery well i hoped for Uruguay to win the match..there was no limit for them..and the fact he celebrated the way he did only proves his passion for winning.. i mean not even he believed that Ghana won´t score from that penalty...i certainly thought it´s over for Uruguay back then...

you have the case by many players - either people hate them or they love them..

Ghana people hate Suarez, but in fact they should not..it isn´t the case as Henry hand against Ireland, not at all... and even Henry´s hand is not Henry´s fault, it´s referee fault not to punish Henry... England also could make it to next round if the ref would see the goal that whole world saw.... Refs are those who make mistakes, in case of Uruguay match the only one who made mistake is the ghana player who didn´t score from that penalty..but certainly not Suarez.

Re: Manchester United Champions Thread!!!19!!!!!

What can football players do to be disliked?

1. Deliberately try to hurt opponents? (See Kompany, two-footed jump with Ajax)
2. Deliberately feign injury to get fellow pro's in trouble? (Every game, notably the above horror tackles too)
3. Show dissent when you know you've done wrong? (Once again, every match)
4. Show no respect to fellow pros (That's the issue I have with Ghana thing - not that he did but that he stayed in the stadium and celebrated; Evra handshakes)
5. Lie to your teammates and manager.
6. Oh and cowardly BITE an opponent, then show no remorse.

I'm sorry, is there anything else that a professional footballer could do to become more disliked?

If he played for any other team than the professional victims, he'd have no love whatsoever.

Re: Manchester United Champions Thread!!!19!!!!!

yeah pretty much that, except point 5, wich is something you can´t write as 100% true.

but on contrary you could sum up all his positive abilities maybe even in more numbers, abilities he was admired for by all the fans of his current or previous clubs or national team... only few people have such abilities in one personality...

and the list you did btw, could be made about 3 other United players as well in past.. it´s very subjective on how you look on players from different clubs..

one thing is sure, the most hated by oposite fans are the most talented players and key figures... maybe they are assholes, but they are also the players who deciede matches and stay legendary for clubs that they played for...

i want to draw a big line and not talk about that anymore realy..
