Manchester United Thread

Re: Manchester United Champions Thread!!!19!!!!!

He crossed it perfectly with his left. That's not realistic.

Re: Manchester United Champions Thread!!!19!!!!!

Happy to see Brown leave because he really deserves more first team football...We will miss him at Old Trafford...

As for the midfield, recently I've been thinking that its either Sneijder or no one at all...not that we aren't attracting them, but if we spend money in getting someone who's inconsistent or not that huge of an upgrade from what we already have, I'd say let our players have more run in games and maybe they'll grow for the better. Most of you have already pointed out Anderson, Gibson....maybe with more games and less injuries, they can really grow to be what we're missing!!

Re: Manchester United Champions Thread!!!19!!!!!

As someone pointed out on Twitter - Wes has only ever played 30 games in a season once in his whole career. Great talent, but too many injuries to rely on.

O'Shea seems a great presence to have at the club, but his performances on the pitch in the last 2-3 years haven't really been inspiring. Competent yes, and you need players like that, but we now have a host of young'uns that should be able to provide similarly, if not better.

Think it's sad but right.

Re: Manchester United Champions Thread!!!19!!!!!

Doubt Brown will be getting that many games in Sunderland either. And he'll have his fair share of injuries unfortunately most likely anyway. We'll find out though soon I guess.

O'Shea I prefer and can see being a very useful addition to Sunderland and yeah he will be missed. Great utility player to have.

Re: Manchester United Champions Thread!!!19!!!!!

Have you ever seen not Bat- but Twat-mobile? :D

Well, more to the point, isn't that stadium owned by the City of Manchester? As in, the tax payers? How can they 'sell' naming rights to something they don't own?

And how can it possibly be worth 4x what Arsenal get?

well the manchester council do get a cut and a flat rate on match days regardless of the corwd size.

But lol their just passing money around all the abu dhabi family interests.

Re: Manchester United Champions Thread!!!19!!!!!

Good luck to sheasy and brown at safc, both have served us well during our most successful years, good players to have around and have provided us all with some great moments.

best moments...

sheasy...i know its obvious but the goal against lfc in front of the kop and the lob against arsenal in the classic 4-2...

brown, well not as abvious due to lack of standout goals, but his first season @ fb, the 07-08 run in the team (of course the assisrt for CL final goal) and some cracking performances at CB. (Oh and a goal vs lfc)

good buys for most teams, especially a team with a few egos or alot of young players, the medals and games between them is pretty decent.

garbosj Ian McGarry
#MUFC made first enquiry to Internazionale today about the availability of Wesley Sneijder. No offical bid has been made as yet.

garbosj Ian McGarry
Enquiry by #MUFC confirmed by director at Internazionale. Possibility of Nani being part of any deal for Sneijder was discussed.

Re: Manchester United Champions Thread!!!19!!!!!

I'd prefer not to get Sneijder than lose Nani.

That said, as I understand the whole thing is a sham. The Daily Mirror in the UK made up a story about United making an offer for Sneijder, then La Gazetta in Italy cited them as a source, then the UK press picked up on the Italian press as a source.

The whole industry deserves to go the way of the f*cking NOTW. Scum, all of them.

Re: Manchester United Champions Thread!!!19!!!!!

FYI, McGarry has the credibility of a 606 WUM.

Re: Manchester United Champions Thread!!!19!!!!!

I'd hate to lose Nani.

The arrival of Young doesn't mean he can't be in the first team. Both Young and Park can play in a more central position. Maybe even one of them can play as the advanced CM we've been looking for.

That'd leave us with Valencia and Nani on the wings.

Re: Manchester United Champions Thread!!!19!!!!!

Which is why Scott Parker would fill the bill for a season or two.

Muppet mode *ON*

Transferred Wesley Sneijder to Man United on FIFA11.
Played him in the 'Zidane' position behind Young(LW), Rooney(CF) and Nani(RW)...Backed up by two DMFs in Fletcher and Carrick.
Links up brilliantly throughout 3 games I played on World Class mode.Full of through balls and dribbling skills.
Simply awesome.

Muppet mode *OFF*

But you know who else is good in FIFA11? Agbonlahor. :))

Re: Manchester United Champions Thread!!!19!!!!!

Going to be odd on the tour - only have Carrick and Anderson as true CMFs. Giggsy can play there, but that's about it.

Weird that we didn't take Gibbo. Have to assume he'll be sold sharpish.

Re: Manchester United Champions Thread!!!19!!!!!

Ruud will play in Scholesy's testimonial. It will be great to watch our forward formation with RvN and King Eric.

No he's not, he announced on his twitter that he can't play as Malaga have preseason games :(

I still miss Ruud.
Sniffle.

Cantona isn't playing in that match, but apparently is in a friendly with marseille a few weeks later.
